Corrientes Argentine Pizzeria Ratings and Reviews
We were heading to the concert hall and thought we’d include a pre- concert meal. We reserved late and the only option was 5 pm, three hours before the concert. We had decided to take the bus from Westwood and just missed it, so had to wait for the next one and arrived 25 minutes late. We were offered to eat at the bar since the next reservation may want our table before we were ready to leave. It was a good move. The girls at the bar were very friendly and had great food suggestions. We were happy we came and have already recommended this place!
Amazing Value for the Price!
Dinner for 2:
1 glass wine, 2 premium beers,
3 empanadas to share as an appetizer
Large pizza (4 slices came home with us)
20% tip for our excellent server (free Spanish less too!)
for under $100!
We love coming here for the Empanadas which are so delicious (and not greasy!) and the Chivito Canadiense pizza. Next time you are going to order pizza from your usual place - do yourself a favor and get from here - for your money and the quality it doesn't get better than this!
We came there before going to MTC, and the food was very good and very hot, service was also very good.
A couple of things my water glass still had lipstick marks on it and my coffee mug looked the same, I might recommend they use hotter water. As well the decaffeinated coffee tasted like instant, maybe they could use perked next time.
Other than that I would highly recommend it.
A pleasant spot for casual dining in the Exchange District of Winnipeg. The décor with its exposed brick walls lend a comforting backdrop to this pizzeria. The service was attentive
and the server was friendly but not obtrusive. When she found out that we were going to the theatre she directed us to the back exit of the restaurant which led almost directly to the theatre itself. A welcome recommendation on a cold Winnipeg evening.
Cozy and warm. Good value and great food. My 2nd time here but both times the service was a little lacking. First time we were waiting on friends to order but waitress forgot all about us for almost 45 minutes after our friends arrived - we had to hail her over finally! This time when I asked for a bottle of wine she failed to bring the glasses! Again we had to get up to ask for glasses after waiting... Other than the service not quite with it I would return because the food is worth it
We went before the symphony on a Saturday night. The place was very full, but we were served in a timely manner. We asked about and would have preferred a half and half pizza, but our choice of toppings were not conducive to this we were told, so ended up with a lot of "take-home". Would go back.
Arrived at 7:30 per our open table reservation and quickly seated. Sat in the back as we were a group of eight. Found out as the night went on that it was very hot in the back with little air movement.
Waitress seemed good to start but then she struggled to open our bottle of wine and had to ask for help. Then she simply poured us a full glass without asking for a taste first. She needs some basic training guys!!!
Bruschetta was our appetizer but not really that good as it was simply cherry tomatoes cut in half in a bit of olive oil on semi toasted bread. Not much flavour!!
Steve B pizza was ok but not as good as our first visit
Suddenly we were getting asked if we wanted any more drinks or dessert as the place was closing soon!! Wait it's only 9 pm!!
Yes that's right folks it's a pizza place on a Friday night at 9 pm and that's when they close.
So kinda got shoved out at last min.
Needless to say I do t think we will return.
We eat here often and slowly we are introducing our friends and colleagues to this simple approach to eating (salads, pizza, empanadas). The service is attentive and friendly...servers really seem to be happy you are dining there. The quality of food is excellent!
It had been quite a while since we last visited Corrientes, but we'll certainly be back soon. The empanadas were amazing - filled to bursting with ingredients and tasty as could be. The pizza was also excellent - if I think hard enough, I can still taste the Summertime pizza - so delicious!
