Owing to the success of the Cornstore Wine Bar & Restaurant Cork, a sister restaurant was opened in Limerick in November 2008, situated on the newly refurbished and pedestrianised street, Thomas Street.

The concepts boasts 3 floors offering a lively, buzzy, Manhattan style surrounding, including private dining and contemporary heated smoking area. The interior is mirrored to match the stylish elegance of its sister restaurant in Cork with intricate floor tiling, pewter style bar, cosy booths and intimate lighting.

Like Cork, the menu consists of premium steaks and quality seafood, an extensive drinks list with cocktails, new world beers and a vast wine list.
Both Cornstore buildings were selected because of their historic presence and the belief that the old and new can be successfully combined to create an old style feel with a modern ambiance.

Ordered the roast to share, quite disappointed. This did not come as we had seen in the pictures. Yorkshire pudding was overcooked, roast potatoes were not roast potatoes, very disappointing, and came with spinach which was not good. Gravy also tasted very bad. Meat was very good. Overall not executed great at all. Very disappointed.

We had a fabulous evening in The Cornstore to celebrate a birthday. The starters of prawn pil pil and beef carpaccio were the highlight, with the chimichurri sauce accompanying the surf and turn also a standout. As always, the service was excellent.

Lovely atmosphere, and the staff are extremely attentive and prompt in getting you whatever you need. Food was excellent, if a little expensive. Highly recommend.

Great menu. Delicious food. Beautiful dining room upstairs facing onto Thomas Street. The service could be a little warmer, a little more considered, but it was efficient. We shared the lobster rolls, the duck parfait and the chateaubriand with cafedeparis butter, garlic butter, bearnaise, caramelised carrots, spinach and mash, plus a gorgeous bottle of Chardonnay. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend it.

The place is very nice. The food exquisite. The staff welcoming, specially the manager and bar staff. However, our waiter seem a little off. He was a bit rude and rushed which put a dent in an otherwise perfect evening. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star.

We loved it! My husband and I both ordered steaks. They were cooked perfectly! The mushrooms and onions were delicious. A French cab was the perfect compliment. Highly recommend!

We were greeted by the host who had a strange way to welcome us. He knew we had an infant I had added that as a note, but he wanted to argue about whether a baby constituted another chair or not. We were not sure why he needed to spoil the experience and even had to ask if he could just stop as we were uncomfortable. The amazing bartender picked up on this and took control of the situation. The drinks were epic he created a fun vibe with his style and energy. Food was excellent. However for me I felt the start of the night tainted out overall night in the resto and the rest of the service staff seemed negative with us and even the waiter was eye rolling with our desire to take our time ordering. Very sad because it could have been awesome Also I ordered a dirty gin martini and they had no olives …… It just didn’t work. This was the only reservation we had made on the entire trip as we were celebrating a special occasion and the place had been highly recommended :(
