Corner Table Ratings and Reviews
Dinner was excellent; food was creatively prepared; wine list was innovative. Waiter was a bit stiff and uncomfortable with the food descriptions which was very different from our previous experiences when wait staff were true foodies and really knew their food-wine recommendations. Overall, Corner Table is always a wonderful dining experience.
My husband was happy with his food, but I was quite disappointed in the halibut, which was overcooked and didn't seem to have the right consistency for halibut. The accompaniments also overwhelmed the flavor of the halibut. The wine was overpriced for it's quality.
I've been here at least 25 times. This was the third time in a row everything fell flat. I will probably go back because 22/25 isn't anything to sneeze at, but the portions were so stupidly miniscule- this time- it was comical. I had the equivalent of 4 large bites of food for 125.00. The pork belly was whoa bad and the chowder was beautifully served, but was, 100% not exaggerating, 4 spoonfuls *maybe*.
Come on. I am a light eater. I prefer quality over quantity. If I leave with grumbles in my tumbles your portions are offensively small. And they missed the mark across the board flavor wise.
Dined with a friend. Brent was out server. He was friendly and could answer all out questions about the food and its preparation. He checked on us frequently, but was never obtrusive. I misunderstood something he said, and he took care of fixing it as if nothing happened. He made us feel as welcome friends and not just someone to bring food to. The food itself was wonderful, starting with the popovers. The duck breast was excellent and the pork belly one of the best I've had. Makes me want to go back when they change the menu in a few weeks.
Corner Table is a great spot for dining, service is always friendly and knowledgeable, food is always top notch and they have a parking lot if your in need of a place to put your car.
We did the three course menu and all food was seasoned well and cooked to perfection
This was our second time eating here. They have gone to 3 course prix fixe menu since this spring. The only trouble with this was trying to decide between options available for each course. The good news, I don't think there could be a wrong choice. We each chose a different option and "shared". The food is some of the best I have ever had. Generous portions for a prix fixe meal. Easy to compare Corner table to La Belle Vie. Can't wait to fast and try their 9 nine course meal.
Service was fantastic. The staff was outstanding. Food was creative and delicious. Very small portions, but rich and flavorful, so still filling. The sweet potato donuts that I had read rave reviews about - I must say I wasn’t impressed. They would’ve been much better had they been warm. Also it was incredibly loud, which made conversation a bit difficult. All in all, I would definitely go back.
I love the new Fixe Prixe menu ! The tiny popovers were a wonderful surprise. The salad was a bit boring and mine did not include any " edible flowers" . The mushroom tart made up for it. The pot roast was brisket~ wish they would have told me before they served it, I may have selected something else. I think the chef should include a sweet bite of something at the end of the meal as the portions are small. Our service was terrific and I will be back soon to try the duck or the halibut .
Very nice intimate restaurant with small but unique portions. Great presentation. We liked the price fixe option and everything we tried was great - including the wine. Excellent service - just the right attention. High end experience. Would definitely go back. Really good restaurants are hard to find - especially ones you would consider going back to. This is one of those.
Recent change to prix fix menu was a little disappointing. Overall food was good but one fish dish over cooked. Waiter was extremely knowledgeable and helpfull. Food was very slow coming out of the kitchen. Experience was not a 10 but still very enjoyable. I would return to try again.
We loved the food at the restaurant, though there were a couple of problems- 1) we did tasting menu (at an early 6:15 p.m. reservation) and there was way too much time between courses. The staff apologized and said the kitchen just "got swamped" - but to me that is always a cop out -- you didn't know people were going to come to your restaurant and eat? I was starving and it was into two hours before we got to a more substantial third and fourth course. Also the fifth course was dessert and it was placed on table and staff rushed away -- it was very rich and we wanted coffee as a compliment. He came back with check and said "can I get you coffee or something else" - this was 15 minutes after serving dessert and presented with the check....just a little off. Great food though, nice fresh ingredients and creative presentation.
My husband and I went to Corner Table for our anniversary. We had never been there. The interior is cozy with a lovely décor. The crispy cauliflower with a spicy Korean glaze was delicious as a starter along with the cheesy biscuits. However both the pounded breaded pork and the salmon were unfortunately dry and disappointing. A range of prices , from lower to higher, would have been appreciated for the bottles of wine.
The service was spectacular! The waitress we had was very personal and friendly. The food was beautiful, and it still tasted better than it looked! Overall, I highly reccommend Corner Table for special dinners.
PS... their sweet potato doughnuts are to die for.
We had a fantastic 43rd Anniversary with two of our daughters & our son-in-law! Our oldest daughter & her executive chef husband live 4 blocks away and it is their "Date Night" spot.
The Chef here has a wonderful touch! He beautifully moves from Asian fusion to fresh-made almost puffy gnocchi! We tried a broad swath of the menu including the Crispy Cauliflower (awesome spicy Korean glaze - super Yummy!), Charcuterie to Share (truly wonderful! A MUST for groups of 4 or more) & devine biscuits (don't miss 'em) to start.
We ordered dinner size portions of both pastas for the next course, Carrot Triangoli and Swiss Chard Tortellini. Chef threw in a dinner size portion of the Parisienne Gnocchi as an Anniversary Gift. We all thought that that was very extra special! All 3 pastas were simply incredible! Beautifully balanced with interesting spicing, fresh veges & protein. da Bomb!
For the main, we were so full that we could only get one of the 4 offerings to share. For the record, I show note that every one of the options had a vote, with the Lamb Napoleon getting the nod with 2 votes. And it was really good! Between two lovely pastries, was the lamb, ratatouille, squash blossom & olive. Yummy!
On top of the great food & wonderful, romantic ambiance, our server, Erikka, was spectacular! The kindof server you wish you had at every meal! Friendly, knowledgable, helpful, efficient, kind, the whole deal! Thanks Erikka for helping to make our 43rd Anniversary so special!
Had a lovely meal with great recommendation of wine from the sommelier for my wife's birthday. Great venue for a special occasional. Pricey, but depending on how you value the artisanship in your food, could be very well worth it. At the very least, it'd be a wonderful spot for wine and snacks.
Great meal. Loved the cauliflower appetizer and salmon entree most. My friend and I split the charcuterie based on recos but I'd say that unless you have 3+ people you may want to hold off...we felt like we wasted a lot of food. Sweet potato donuts also a must-order!
