Although I would recommend Corner Table to a friend, it simply would do no good because the restaurant permanently closed it's doors on July 31, 2019. Such a shame that Minneapolis couldn't support the artistic creations and delicious food this restaurant had to offer. Food was unique but not in the, "how do I even eat this," type of way. There is something for everyone and its all brought together so perfectly. I would love an opportunity to go back if they're ever able to reopen. We were just visiting from across the country and stumbled into this restaurant on their next-to-last night. What a treat.
Our first visit to corner table and we wished we would have discovered it sooner.
Sad to see it go!
Original and delicious offerings. Delightful setting. Excellent service. Sorry to see it close.
Such an incredible meal. So sad that they are closing and that it took us so long to make it over. Thrilled we got a chance to experience it!!
Love this place. So sad that it's closing its doors. :( Took my 13 yo son for our last visit and he said how he wished I'd taken him there sooner (I usually went there when he was away at camp.)
Everything was perfect!
Love love love Corner Table. Perfect birthday dinner for my wife.
Come back with something similar, sad Corner Table is closing at the end of July 2019!
The portions were extremely small and served on enormous plates, which minimized the aesthetic impact. However, every bite was delicious, and the service smooth and professional.
Loved the ambiance & food. Sad they're closing! The service was a bit slow but when our server was at our table, she was very knowledgeable and patient. Probably why service was slow!
We had a wonderful dinner, the service was excellent.
Great food as usual, a little slow on service though. Appreciated the free drink
The selection for Restaurant Week was amazing. I'm so sad to see this gem of a restaurant close.
Had to come and say "bye" to this gem of a restaurant. The food tonight was great! I even got to have the biscuits and doughnuts which were delicious. The service tonight was a little slow but they were super busy. Can't wait to see what's next for Corner Table.
Love, love, love this place. Sadly I learned that it is closing at the end of the month. 😢😢😢 It is one if the best restaurants in the Cities. Best charcuterie plate ever. I’m so sad to hear it’s closing. Food is amazing, service is great; I’ve never had a bad experience here. I will sorely miss it.
I am extremely bummed that Corner Table is closing, because it is a gem of the Twin Cities
Went for the Restaurant Week special and it was exceptional. We both had the Cucumber and homemade ricotta starter with heirloom miniature tomatoes followed by the halibut special which was perfectly cooked and attractively presented. My
companion had the sweet potato donuts for dessert and I had the chocolate mousse which I could happily have eaten two of!
Service was attentive although we had an extended wait for dessert. So sad this restaurant is closing; it was a real treat to eat there.
An absolute treat, couldn't have been more pleased. The staff were so amazing and the food was to die for.
Ever-Ending Excellent!!! We had a remarkable time!
Corner Table has, under the leadership of Chef Karyn Tomlinson, consistently been the best dining experience I've had in the cities (or anywhere else). I first came to Corner Table about 2 years ago, because several culinary friends and I (we were all Revival employees at the time) were doing research for a 5 course charity dinner we were planning. We ordered the Feed The Sh*t Out Of Me And Make It Nice for five of us - with wine pairings - and spent the next four hours being completely blown away by the outrageousely excellent quality of the food and the casual professionalism of the FOH staff. We saw then what we see now: a shinign example of farm-to-table, casual fine-dinng brilliance. I took my significant other there for our first date about 8 months later, (we then came back a further three times) my family after that, and most recently, my S/O and my parents - to celebrate her new title of Miss Minnesota, and so we could all catch up over a great meal in a joyful atmosphere. I've also encouraged several other groups to experience it for themselves, and the feedback has alwaays been overwhelmingly positive. Speaking for all involved, we have been consistently impressed, enthralled, and occasionally, uncomfortably stuffed; but always overjoyed with our experience. I have on two separate occasions had a tear or two in my eye after taking a particularly succulent bite. THAT is how good Corner Table is. We will miss this place and the people that made it such a wonderful and welcoming experience. Chef Karyn and her team leave us a legacy of outstanding quality, professionalism and warmth.
A lovely space with delicious food. Happy to have gone before it closed.
Thank you for all of the memories!
Amazing food, impeccable service. I wish I had known about this place long ago.
I LOVE corner table and had to get in one more time before they close. I hope they re-open!
Anniversary dinner. Loved our dining experience.
Spectacular and as perfect as our first visit! Thank You, Corner Table team! My absolute favorite!
We had not been here for a few months and we asked ourselves, "why not?". the bite was excellent all the way to the last. Everything was excellent. We have some allergy issues and they asked about them even before we mentioned them and then we were told what items were fine to eat. Beyond that there was not a single issue.
The duck was excellent by the way. The black radish was so light and such a great starter and the paparedelle was great.
I’ve eaten here four times. I’ve never had a bite of food that wasn’t “hold it in your mouth and roll your eyes “ good. The pork belly, dumplings and duck form the trifecta of the 3-course prix fixe menu. The waiters are attentive and knowledgeable without hovering. So many other places to try, but I keep coming back to Corner Table and never regret my decision.
We had enjoyed the corner table in the past but had not been there for a couple years so decided to go there for a recent birthday celebration. We had the prix fixe menu and we were wowed once again! Why, oh, why, have we not been coming here regularly?!!!! Started with the duck confit dumpling, then the pork belly and last course was the duck with foie gras. We were impressed with the sauces -- really took the dishes to the highest level. Service was excellent as our server was very knowledgeable about all the menu items and described the wine choices well. Mmmmmmm, om, nom, nom!
Everything from the service to the food was amazing. Staff was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is cozy and energy was great without being so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation. A spectacular evening of food and wine. Can’t wait to go back!
Neighborhood gem with fantastic service. Always a treat to dine at Corner Table!
Corner Table is one of our two go-to restaurants, when we want to treat ourselves to a special meal, or guests (along with Spoon). A small restaurant, with personal interaction with all the staff - this is our favorite type to explore. We know most of the staff now, after several visits. On our last visit, we had a prix fixe menu featuring morel mushrooms, and it was sublime. The kind of meal where you savor each bite with your eyes closed. Our favorite was the morels with pine nuts and spruce tips. I am only a basic cook - I wish I could describe it more expertly.
Karyn, the head chef, is innovative, but not over-the-top. Her background at Fäviken Magasinet in Sweden comes through in many of her dishes, such as the swedish meatball, and duck confit dumpling, and it all works together. The bone-in pork belly (one of her prize-winners at last year's National Cochon contest for heritage pork), is amazing!
Our highest recommendation.
Amazing food with a well educated staff
The energy and food here are something you'd expect at a coastal place with a star from a certain organization. Our server Katie was kind and engaging, with a very clear love of food and the guest experience. This is on my Minneapolis must visit list. You will not be disappointed. Splurge for the chef's tasting, totes worth it.
Highly recommend. This was our second visit. We went for my birthday and returned for my husband's birthday. Imaginative and excellent menu. Service was wonderful! Love the ambience of the restaurant. We look forward to returning.
Outstanding original and interesting menu, extremely knowledgeable waiters. Very friendly and casual atmosphere.
Our first time back in a while, we were very impressed by the atmosphere, food and service. It's definitely in the top handful of great Twin Cities restaurants, and has its own unique combination of comfort and innovation. We look forward to returning soon.
Corner Table is consistently creative and the food well executed. Our server, Brent, was informative and helpful. Corner Table has become our place to go for very special occasions--in this case, our 29th anniversary.
Spent $150 for the two of us for dinner on my wifes birthday. The taste of food was good but disappointed with the portion sizes.
