Our group of six enjoyed a memorable meal at Corner Table. All of us enjoyed the three course meal and all our different tastes and culinary preferences were more than satisfied. Service was impeccable. Wine pairings perfect. And the popovers and cheddar biscuits to die for. Many thanks to Chef Karyn and her team for a perfect evening for us to celebrate the birthday of a friend. We will all be back.
My husband and I went to celebrate his birthday. We had a wonderful time with an amazing waiter. Would highly recommend for special occasions.
A great meal!
Birthday night out and it was an excellent dinner with wonderful service along with delicious courses. Would highly recommend!
Love this place, fantastic food, wonderful service. A+
The New Year’s Eve menu was to die for and the wine pairings were perfection. Service was great to boot. Expensive but well worth the experience. Cheers
We had the special 10 course tasting menu they call “feed the sh*t out of me & make it nice.” Completely, totally amazing. The menu is curated daily so it won’t ever be exactly what we had but, trust me, it will be worth it!
So amazing. Was one of the best dinners we have had in Minneapolis and beyond.
Great food but subject to the easy criticism of places like this that you might leave hungry. Our server was terrific and made the night.
Foodie paradise! Would recommend the tasting menu.
This was our first visit since the current chef took over. It was a very mixed bag, overall for sure not at the level of the previous 2 chefs. First, a $49 dollar prix fixe not including dessert is expensive for a neighborhood restaurant. Second, portions were awfully modest even though there were 3 courses (not that I encourage or like huge portions, but still..). Third, quality was all over the place. The sunchoke torchon was marred by what seemed like whipped cream and no discernible foie gras while the scallop and carrot custard and papardelle were all extremely good. The lake perch was not good at all (should have been sent back) - poor texture, little flavor, not much in the broth of interest. The duck and bison were very nice, but one small strip of each? Check out the duck and beef preps at the Kenwood at the same price (if one ordered 3 courses there and allowed for small portions of two other courses). We shared a dessert which was terrific - pain perdu with a very good parsnip ice cream. So. Would we go back? Probably not, on balance. Too much competition at this or lower prices in South Minneapolis. They should drop the prix fixe. And lower the corkage fee, or do what other good places do and waive it if you have a couple of drinks or a bottle of wine from the list.
Fantastic! We had the best server, she was so great at explaining everything on the menu and made us feel overly welcome! Food was unbelievable, we have been talking about it since we visited on the 20th and will definitely be back!
The service was exceptionally good! The food was well presented and for the most part quite delicious, but the main course was a little disappointing because it was served lukewarm. (I had the wild acres duck.) I was totally prepared for a hefty bill, but I would have liked everything to be a little more near to perfection at that price!
My girlfriend and I went the other night for her birthday. The two of us enjoy trying new restaurants, especially if they have a tasting menu available. We were delighted to find that Corner Table offered a 10-course Tasting Menu with wine pairings!
Throughout our evening we were amazed at the flavor combinations that the chef was able to present on the plates in front of us. The wine complemented each dish perfectly, helping to draw out some nuances that otherwise may have gone unnoticed.
The best part of the evening (besides the food and wine) was out waitress. She was extremely knowledgeable about the food and the wine, and really encouraged us to give her our honest feedback. She definitely made the experience for us.
The two tables on either side of us both, at separate times, asked us how the 10-course tasting menu was, and after our glowing recommendations, both tables told us that they would most certainly be trying it in the future.
Although the price point may seem a bit high, we believed that we truly received the best bang for our buck.
I would highly recommend Corner Table to anyone looking to get overly full on amazing food, complimented by an extraordinary wine pairing options, finished of with a piece-de-resistance; amazing waitstaff who truly make the experience unforgettable!
Spot-on service as always—thank you Katie!! Beef tallow salted popovers continue to impress! As does the sun choke torchon, bone-in glazed pork belly, the rare bison, and the duck with fish sauce caramel! Yum!! Thank you again. We’ll be back!
Some of the very best high-end cuisine in the Twin Cities. Though the menu is small, the food is more interesting and more consistent than many, many other places. We've been multiple times, and have always enjoyed creative, perfectly prepared dishes. On our most recent visit, highlights included the pappardelle and the parsnip bread pudding, as well as an amuse-bouche that was savory popovers with sweet butter.
It's a little crowded and noisy, but not deafening. Service is attentive without being pretentious. Can't afford to eat here too often, but will be back.
really amazing! We really enjoyed the prix fix and the wine. Great food, great service
Server was extremely knowledgeable, food and ambiance was outstanding. Great wine list. Can't wait to go back.
Outstanding food and service. Pricey for this genre but absolutely first quality food and service.
This was one of the absolute best meals of my life. From start to finish every piece of food was fantastic. My wife and I ordered all different dishes and all 6 dishes were spectacular.
Love this place. Exceptional culinary adventure. Innovative foods are delicious and memorable. Lovely staff. Small and intimate.
Delicious! Very well executed. We never got our biscuits that the server had recommended, but luckily were distracted by how yummy everything was. The 3 courses may be enough for some, but I would recommend a supplement for those that are on the hungry side.
Great service, great meal - absolutely love the new menu
Fantastic food, wine and great staff
Fantastic in every way. Every course we ordered was absolutely delicious and perfectly sized. The recommended wine pairings were spot on. The service could not have been better. Our cozy table was perfect for conversation. This continues to be one of the very best restaurants in the Twin Cities!
Amazing food, amazing service. Favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities!
Had a wonderful dinner for four. Service was impeccable and the food exquisite. We had the three course fixed price dinner and each course was perfectly prepared and matched. Will definitely be back.
Four of us managed to taste most of the three course pris fixe menu and every dish was excellent. Really interesting combinations of flavors and textures and all tastefully presented. The restaurant is a little cold, both in temperature and ambiance. Also, I noted a Birthday celebration when I booked in OT but it was not acknowledged. I would go again and recommend
Superb food and service Gourmet dining definitely a cut above most restaurants Highly Recommend
Wonderful service, mouth watering food options all combined with a delicious wine. Never disappoints!
Simply Awesome! Absolutely loved it. We will be back.
Great ambiance, delicious food and very friendly staff
It was a very comfortable evening, we loved every item that was served, menu was interesting, original and very tasty, the portions were exactly right. Great food toped with phenomenal staff, they were very professional and knowledgeable but stil maintained a friendly casual ambiance. Mi wife and I had a great 5 year anniversary dinner. Thank you.
Thank you to the entire staff of Corner Table for a lovely celebratory dinner! The beef tallow popovers with buckwheat honey butter are phenomenal! Between the two of us, we chose the following dishes:
Swedish Meatball: ethereal meatball over blood pudding disk, with lingonberry sauce. Yum!
White beet & turnip salad: lovely "white" presentation with whipped goat cheese. My only issue with this dish was that both of us felt it was lacking a sprinkle of finishing salt and a touch of acid.
Massachusetts Scallop: Perfectly cooked scallops over butternut squash cubes and butter
Bone-in Pork Belly: perfectly tender and charred meat with a bone to chew on! :).
Wild Acres Duck: Crisped skin, breast perfectly cooked medium rare with duck confit-filled dumplings. Fish sauce caramel is my new favorite sauce!
Northstar Bison: Beautifully presented and cooked to perfect rare-plus. The fried shallots and bits of bison jerky added wonderful texture to the dish. Bison also could have used a sprinkling of finishing salt.
Flourless chocolate cake dessert: Just enough sweet to complete the evening. Not cloying.
Our cheddar biscuits were initially forgotten, but they did finally arrive and we were compensated. Katie our server was spot-on, and our courses were timed perfectly, which is always a concern during prix fixe service. Thanks again!
Delicious! All was great but especially enjoyed: the parsley root soup, sun choke with shaved foie gras, paparelle and scallop. Popovers with honey butter - to die for! Service was warm and outstanding - knowledgeable and generous. Since we were sharing everything and with our choices needed a glass of white and a glass of red they proposed pouring 1/2 glass of each for each to facility things. They didn't need to do that but it was a lovely client-centered gesture!
Food service was VERY slow and wine list wasn't great. We were at the restaurant much longer than any of us wanted to be. Otherwise, the food and server were great. Great menu and ambiance.
Every course was great, service was great, the popovers and biscuits were fantastic.
The bone in pork belly is top notch! Service was excellent and super friendly! We’ll be back!
The food was exceptional and paired with great wine selections. Our waitstaff was friendly and well versed on each menu item and wine pairing. Food was served at a nice pace. This is a great date night destination or night out with a larger group of friends.
Fantastic little spot! Quaint environment with prix fix menu to impress. Our waiter was superb - even bringing over small wine pairing tasters for my mother on her birthday. Small portions - but well plated and made with care.
