Cork Tree Restaurant
The wine list is always a work in progress, with a balance of well known wineries, as well as boutique wineries.
Cork Tree enhabits a style rich in California elegance. Large and round booths privately encased in wood and fabric provide intimate spaces for conversation and romance, while providing views of the understated glamor of the dining room. Trees and a natural cascading fountain make the Cork Tree Patio wind-protected and well-appointed for dining under the stars. Additionally, depending on the size of your celebration, two private dining options await.

This was our 2nd time in 5 days. They always do an excellent job from service to wine to great food. Always reliable and friendly. We always go there when we visit the area.
Food is very good. Service is very good. Have been there many times. Never had a bad meal.
This was the first night of their reopening for late summer and they were fantastic. I had the sea bass with fingerling potatoes and the fish was tender and a little crispy on the outside. The sauce was not too much and it was perfect for the fish. My husband had the duck cooked medium rare and he said that it was great. Their wine list look pretty extensive, but we just had glasses of Pinot Grigio and it was great. I would definitely go back here again. The wait staff was very friendly and checked on us a lot.
We go there often but they are closed until September and we will be the first to make a reservation. he Chef out did himself!!!
Very disappointed that Cork Tree will close for the summer. We will be back in September when it reopens.
A real pleasant surprise! I had driven by many time on Country Club Dev but I had no idea of the surprise behind those very generic walls! Not being able to secure a reservation at my desired time at another restaurant, I Googled "Best Restaurants in Rancho Mirage / Palm Desert".... I read the very positive reviews so, I made reservations with hesitation. The Cork Tree will now be my 1st choice for fine dining in the whole Coachella valley. Food, service, ambience were all 1st class. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special evening....
This place is amazing! The food is delicious and the service is exceptional!
Can't wait to visit again.
Our favorite restaurant in the valley; everyone will enjoy
Absolutely fantastic dinner… Definitely going back very soon !!!
Lovely dinner, from the wait staff to the food. The chef came out to see if we liked the food..nice touch. We will be back.
We had not been to Cork Tree for a couple of years but were happy to come back to a great meal and wonderful service. The Birthday dessert was vey special.
Excellent quality of food. We both enjoyed our meals. Our waiter Ray gave us exceptional service and made our anniversary a memorable one. Thanks you Ray!
A friend wanted to talk over a good meal in a place that wasn’t too loud. We had amazing dinner and a special visit. Will be back soon;)
Our server Ray was fantastic! The sea bass and cippino were amazing!
As always. Our dining experience at Cork Tree was wonderful. Our Server and staff was especially one that everyone can experience; especially Patrick - ask for him.
Great food, great service and the Summer Special Deal is outstanding.
The evening specials were wonderful. Excellent as always.
Looks very nice inside. Booths are very small/tight. Staff is helpful. We were forced to move due to a large group of loud people next to us. The "green salad" we ordered was horrible with the least nutritional lettuce, not on the menu. Mais dishes were fine, but overpriced. Good wine.
The Pork shank I orders had way too much pepper. I’ve had it before and it was amazingly good. This time it was hard to eat.
The food and the service was just terrific!!!!! Enjoyed it very much!!!
While the food was wonderful, the table we had was not stable, we asked to be moved to another table but they insisted on trying to fix the one we were seated at, only when they could not fix that table were we offered to move to another.
Additionally after our meal we asked if they could do an expresso only to be told that the expresso machine was broken and that they are really expensive to replace. Finding this to be a strange response for a restaurant in this price range we politely paid and left.
Great food and ambiance. The wait person was very pushy about closing out our table with repetitive check ins and kept interrupting our dinner conversation.
Second time to this unit and it was even better than the first. A truly great experience from start to finish. I had a peppercorn steak that was better than anything I've ever had at any of the top Steakhouses in the area. We had the Escargot which was quite uniquely prepared. Fabulous flavor profile. A really nice wine list that isn't over priced. We are now regulars and will be there every time we are in the area!!
Great dinner here. Good local spot with California style menu selections. Good service and better food. not cheap but the quality is worth it.
Ok. Risotto was over cooked. Sea bass was good, so was the duck breast.
In short, we hadn’t been there in years, for no particular reason. It was absolutely wonderful. We will be definitely be going regularly when we return. Tim did a nice job taking care of us and the scallops with creamed corn were perfect
Had Mother's Day Dinner with my wife and son; we were visiting Palm Desert and I wanted to find a special restaurant. The food was a little old fashioned for our tastes, but overall, it was a nice experience. Rudy, our waiter, was well scripted, attentive, and loosened up a little with a little kind hearted teasing. He made the meal fun. The mushroom ravioli starter was amazing; the crab cakes were pedestrian. The entrees were OK to good. My son had the tasting of three different creme brûlée for desert and he has not stopped talking about it. We sat outside which was super nice and made the ambience less old school.
Food quality and prices very good. Menu choices limited. Wine list a mystery. Needed to taste several Pinots before settling on one that was of modest quality and overpriced.
Prices really high - $54 for seafood special - too much
This was our first time dining at Cork Tree. We decided to give it a try based on the Open Table reviews, and are so glad we did! Service was attentive, food was delicious and presentation was beautiful. Our entrees included; duck, pork chop and cioppino. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Salads and desserts were all good as well.
This is one of our go to restaurants when we visit the desert. Don’t be dissuaded by the strip mall location. Great ambience and service and we are never disappointed - great seafood, steaks and lamb and vegetarian friendly as well. Nicely priced wine list or reasonable corkage fee if you have a special bottle to bring.
Great food and wine list. This is our favorite restaurant in Palm Desert.
It is one of the finest restaurants in the Valley. No one should miss it. The servers and chef is the best; not to mention the front staff.
This is a return visit for us and it did not disappoint. The first time the restaurant was a surprise since it is situated in kind of a mall area near a grocery store but turned out great. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding. We made reservations so we had a nice booth. Overall great experience and highly recommended.
Good food with a lot of options. Great wine list
Well. Could have been better. We were placed in a private room as a group and then forgotten about with no service until we asked. Then I will say our server could not have gone more out of her way to make us happy including a free dessert but out of her control was running out of salmon and more amazingly unable to make a latte at all. May have been a one-off service problem but letting you know
YUM and great service. Topped off my friend's wine glass when she spilled a near full glass.
Greg was an engaging and knowledgeable server. He treated us very nicely on our special occasion. The food was well prepared. The scallops were wonderful! The enclosed booth was private and comfortable.
Highly recommend this restaurant when in Palm Springs!
Food and service is fabulous!!!
Real nice decour in the restaurant and very good service at the start, then the waiter got busy and service went downhill. Otherwise quite a special type of ambience.
