About Cork Tree Restaurant
Cork Tree Restaurant is built around California products. Local ingredients are used whenever possible and wines of the West Coast, particularly California, are featured.
The wine list is always a work in progress, with a balance of well known wineries, as well as boutique wineries.
Cork Tree enhabits a style rich in California elegance. Large and round booths privately encased in wood and fabric provide intimate spaces for conversation and romance, while providing views of the understated glamor of the dining room. Trees and a natural cascading fountain make the Cork Tree Patio wind-protected and well-appointed for dining under the stars. Additionally, depending on the size of your celebration, two private dining options await.

Cork Tree Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Recommended by a local on the plane headed to Palm Desert. What a great suggestion.
The awesome food was only exceeded by the service & the quality of the wine list.
I would recommend this 5⭐️ to everyone visiting Palm Desert, especially if staying at the J. W.
Dined on a Thurs night at 6:15. Greeted and seated promptly as was only about 1/3 full although filled up quickly. Servers were all attentive and no lapses in attention. The wine list was adequate, a bit short on French whites, but nobody was left out. Wine price reasonable. Menu was better that average with each dish seeming quite promising. Appetizers were good and we enjoyed ahi and a delicious kale/date salad available in two sizes. We had a horseradish crab encrusted salmon and cioppino. Both were excellent. We had no room for desert, a few of which seemed intriguing. We will be back with friends.
Our latest meal at Cork Tree did not disappoint. Had not been there for a while, and was gratified to see again how well they serve and how well they treat the diners. The menu is not large, but the choices were interesting. The wine list contains many excellent selections, but is a little pricey. We recommend Cork Tree for anyone who enjoys excellent food in sophisticated surroundings.
We were very pleasantly surprised when dining at the Cork Tree for the first time. When we walked in, we both were delighted at the ambiance, lighting, live music and immediate attention. Our server, Ross, was spectacular! He was delightful to talk to as well as informative and an experienced, outstanding waiter! The menu was difficult to choose from due to the many delectable sounding selections. Everything was superb, from the first chilled martini sip to the last bite of the entree. We will return and will bring friends next visit.
$99 per person for three courses that included a half salad, an entree and a piece of cheesecake. The entrees were not good to ok. The half salad and desert were good but should have been amazing for $33 each. The $99 per person did not include drinks or tip. I was extremely disappointed as were my guests.
The service was stellar! Server and assistants were outstanding! From water, to bread, to bottle of wine, to coffee, to meal, desserts. Could not have chosen a more perfect spot to dine with my brother and his family. Perfect presentation, friendly atmosphere and I can't say enough about our serving staff. I think the service team impressed me more than anything. They were so accomodating, so patient and so knowledgeable. Loved it and will dine again!
We each had a different entree and they were all as good as we expected. The sea bass, scallops and salmon were all cooked wonderfully with appropriate sides to make for delicious meals. The pork, lamb and steak were so tender and also had delicious side accompaniments. It’s a bit on the high side for cost, but well worth it for the fresh ingredients. The service was attentive without being intrusive.
We had been at the restaurant a couple of years ago and had a very pleasant dining experience. We were here for a few days of much needed vacation and were meeting our cousins who were coincidentally vacationing the same time, so I selected Cork Tree as our dinner destination. When we first reviewed the menu, we were very surprised at how much the prices had increased but remembered how good the food was so decided to dine there. We had a combination of poor service in terms of the wait for our food courses, but the most disturbing aspect was that our Cousin has a specific allergic reaction if her shell fish is not cooked well done and she was very specific in telling our server this when she ordered the scallop dish. When her scallops were served they were grossly undercooked, and after one bite she got a reaction. Our cousin is a senior so of course we were concerned, and fortunately the reaction subsided somewhat, although our cousin is not one to complaint. Although all the staff was apologetic and very attentive at that point, we had to wait so long for the meal to begin with, and we were told it was because our order was behind a very large group. Ultimately, our dining experience was overall very disappointing. The rest of our entrees, while cooked to our preference were not flavorful and certainly not worth the prices. When entrees start at $34.00, they should be exceptional. Our meal missed the mark. Unfortunately we do not plan on dining there again.
Excellent service, nice environment and a good wine list. The meal was a let down. I had sea bass that was tasteless, with uninspiring potatoes and veg. My colleague had salmon dumped on a pile of lettuce. Appetizers were better, but uninspiring. The beetroot salad was just confused - pesto with beets and goat cheese, curious. The best bit was the sorbet and gelato, they were very decent.
