Dined here because of good reviews but was disappointed with the food and ambience. Ambience felt like I transported back to the 70s. While service was very good, the food quality for prices they charged was not. The $18 crab cakes were deep fried and inside lacked any crab or shrimp. The Chilean sea bass was a little overcooked and dry, not worth the $52. Pear salad was underwhelming and note corkage fee is a whopping $40! One and done for me.

We had a fantastic server, Janine, who made our evening special. My only complaint was weeks earlier I had asked for the main dining room, I had a call from the restaurant several hours before our arrival time confirming our 7 pm reservation and stating that it was confirmed for the main dining room. Instead, when we arrived, we were ushered to a side room with three or four empty tables and we were the only ones seated there for the evening. I felt like we were in Siberia as restaurants go.

We go here every time we are in Palm Desert. The Beet Salad highly recommend. Also Crab/Shrimp cakes. Short ribs fell right off the bones. Perfect! Brussel Sprouts were a little overcooked and not crispy as I prefer. Oh well.

We went to celebrate our anniversary and they really took good care of us! Everyone said Happy Anniversary and brought a candle topped piece of cheesecake! The entrees and salads were delicious. I would go back again for a special occasion.

Seared tuna was fantastic but slightly undercooked although I asked for it medium. They quickly returned it to the kitchen to cook it more. The seared scallops on puréed squash were perfectly cooked and delicious. Our waiter was most attentive and warm. The prices are a bit high.

Always a delicious experience at the Cork Tree! Great cocktails started off the evening and our table of three enjoyed a mini beet salad, mini wedge salad, and mini Caesar salad - all wonderful. For entrees, we had the short rib, seared ahi tuna, and a filet mignon Oscar special with crabmeat and shrimp. All we can say is wow! We truly enjoy the Cork Tree and it is one of our favorite restaurants in the desert!

Funny. The 3 highest ranked restaurants in Palm Springs/Palm Desert all had the same menu, so we laughed and ordered the same things for 3 nights. Cork Tree ended up being the best for beet salad, duck, fish, short ribs, and dessert. Service was good and they honored my request for a quiet table (away from the bar/TV area). We know we are spoiled by great SF restaurants, but just be aware that although the prices are SF high, the cooking is a notch below, and the menu choices in many restaurants lean heavily to red meats. Just relax and enjoy the nice fall weather.

We love Cork Tree. Our Wait Staff was excellent: Max knew his Chef’s options and promoted them well; his service was the perfect combo of quiet efficiency, friendly and welcoming. Ethan made sure our table was always clean and water glasses filled. We may have been the last to leave, but no one made us feel as if it were time to close. We celebrated a birthday in style and enjoyed every minute. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a lovely dinner our waiter was excellent, personable and they handled my aunts allergy well. Portions were very nice . My only note to management if they see this is maybe explain to the younger staff who was serving bread that if the small plate has a bunch of garbage you don’t place fresh bread to the side of plate that clearly is meant to be cleared you get the guest a fresh bread plate.

We always have a great meal at Cork Tree. The rack of lamb special was great. Excellent cocktails. Chocolate semifreddo dessert was delicious. Be prepared: It is expensive (but worth it).

We’ve been coming here for years, but last night’s dinner was not up to their usual standards, crab and shrimp cakes were bland, no seafood taste with a strange tomato based sauce, Brussel sprouts were not seasoned and had no flavor, ahi and sea bass were good, with so many places to eat here, Cork Tree will not be on our list in the near future

Such a lovely experience!! Not cheap, but worth it - this is a real "find" for us in Desert Springs! The meal was fabulous as was the service but the atmosphere was the best. Quiet enough for conversation and classy without being stuffy. We will definitely look forward to our next visit.

Wonderful food all around—trio of soups, beet salad, risotto, sea bass and trio of crème brûlée were all really fabulous. I thought the bread was disappointing though. Service by William absolutely flawless. Will return.
