Great food. We were surprised the service was not at a higher level. We do not think it was our server. We felt it might be a training issue. Atmosphere was nice.
Great as always. Favorite place and still.
It was Mother’s day. The restaurant was quiet. The service was great. I had the pasta with shrimp, my husband had the pork tenderloin. Both were so delicious. We shared the chocolate orange with orange ganache with orange sherbet. Yum. Awesome food, service and ambiance.
Delicious as always! Love everything about this place.
Very young staff - showed inexperience by bringing martinis with twists instead of the
olives we had specifically ordered. Then, there was a fifteen minute time lapse before
we saw our server again.
When we arrived nobody knew we had informed Open Table that this was an
anniversary dinner. In the past, at Core, we were always served a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary dinners.
The Gen Manager is also young and not very outgoing. On a positive note, the hostess
was lovely and very vivacious. The new wine Som saved the day. She was gracious,
and spent time with us. Her attention and wine discussions will ensure we come
back to Core after their re-model is complete.
Another positive note was the food. It was excellent and well presented.
Core would be a perfect venue for hundreds of us who live on Dove Mountain, assuming they
get their act together and start providing the kind of service they did when the Ritz first opened.
Awesome! Lobster was superb. Staff delightful. Kudos to Amanda.
Excellent service and food not to mention beautiful view for the outside eating.
The CORE never disappoints! This is our favorite “special occasion” restaurant in the Tucson area. This time it was my wife’s birthday. As always the food was excellent and the service extremely courteous and professional. We were comped a delicious dessert in honor of the birthday. Can’t wait for our next visit to the CORE!
Always good! Interesting menu with some delicious mainstays supported with seasonal delicacies. Supplement the outstanding food with well crafted cocktails or wine and you have a prescription for a wonderful dinner.
The restaurant is a fine dining experience in a casual atmosphere; the food and service are outstanding and you can dress up or down as you prefer. We interacted with five different staff members and they were all extremely friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed a crab cake appetizer, trout and tenderloin entrees with a cream corn side that was excellent and some well crafted cocktails. Everything was marvelous!!! Thank you Core Kitchen!
What an awesome place. Two of us ordered the trout. Was the best we’ve ever had. The others in our party ordered pork tenderloin & rib eye. Both were outstanding! We will definitely go back!
Fantastic from start to finish.
A lovely and leisurely anniversary dinner! Our special celebration was acknowledged by staff the moment we entered the restaurant and by our server. We enjoyed our martini and a glass of Chardonnay and were given a complementary appetizer, "avocado tartare," which was nicely spiced. Our jambalaya and trout entrees were both excellent. We shared a trio of ice creams for dessert, a nice finish. Gracious and efficient service. It doesn't get any better than this.
Absurdly priced wine list, an extensive one though, excellent service, though Core was not at all busy on Sat. night, nice but no real ambience, unless warm enough to sit outside, good food, decent variety, overall just so-so for $$, not in the “be back” book
As usual, Core did not disappoint. Food, service, atmosphere all add up to a great experience.
Also nicxe to have an elegant meal with good service
Had a later dinner and although restaurant was moderately busy, it was certainly not packed. EVERYTHING was so slow! Twenty-five minutes for first drinks, forty-five minutes for appetizer and well over an hour for entrees. Though we didn’t complain, manager did come over and apologize and bought us our second round of drinks. Food was ok, but not great. This Ritz Carlton was a little remote, so was disappointed we didn’t have a better overall experience since options were obviously limited.
Core is always a wonderful dining experience! We were celebrating the anniversary of our first date and they brought us 2 complimentary glasses of bubbly! Service is always attentive and the food delicious! We'll be back
First time dining at Core, it was a wonderful time, our server Laura was kind and patient, we didn’t feel rushed, seated in a nice corner, great selection of drinks, and wines. Food was superb. Pasta dish was delicious!!!
We will definitely return.
Food was good but dinner took almost three hours for summer. Super slow.
We may go back tomorrow night!
Most of the food was adequate to good, although frankly not as good as Primo's at the JW Marriott, where we usually went to celebrate occasions when we lived on the West side. We had hoped to find equal quality here in Oro Valley. But unfortunately, the birthday boy's food was disappointing. The crab cake was undercooked and the jambalaya was very skimpy--mostly rice, few mussels. The meal was not worth the price.
We were looking forward to the food being better than it was for such a nice dining room and ambience. I got the roasted half chicken with vegetables and the taste was a little too strong. Two others ordered one of the steaks and said it was ok, not great.
We enjoyed excellent food and service as we celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary. A big thank you to the Core Kitchen and Wine bar for a lovely and delicious evening!
Quality of food is inconsistent. And for the money, it shouldn't be. If it were consistently good, we would eat here every week. We live in the Canyon Pass area. So, it's a convenient drive for us.
The service was good. Except our waiter didn't put our bottle of wine on the check. It would've been a much lower tab, if we hadn't caught the error and let our waiter know he had undercharged us by $70.
Absolutely flawless service, food preparation, and quality of food. Joshua, our server, was exceptional, attentive, informative, and witty. The entire staff was on point, elegant, cordial, and engaging. Chef Emily visited our table, which was an added bonus. It’s a celebration dinner we will not forget and we highly recommend this experience to everyone!
The somm is energetic, engaging and has the best wine menu in the Tucson area
A favorite of ours. We dine here every time we visit Tucson.
We had one of the best dinner experiences. The food, drinks and experience were all amazing. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration so memorable!
The atmosphere is always cordial and relaxing. There is
enough variety on the menu for everyone. My husband and
I are frequent guests and we often entertain our family there,
particularly for breakfast.
We love it at the Ritz.
Hope you stay for a very long time.
Had a great evening, will go back again very soon. Great restaurant
Outstandingly prepared fish. Only problem with this place is the location. Dove Mountain is not a short drive from Tucson and a long drive home reduces the enjoyment of the meal. However, if you live in the Dove Mountain area or are staying at The Ritz, then this is a place to go to.
Fantastic! We had the heirloom beet salad with brussel sprout leave, just the right size and crunch--didn't remember how flavorful beets could be, followed by the whole sea bass. The combination of sides, cauliflower and eggplant coulis was perfect with the almonds and hazelnut butter topping. The sea bass itself was boneless and heavenly. We ended with the beignets (5) that came with the perfect complement of maple ice cream and a tube (fun!) of caramel to apply ourselves. It was my birthday so dessert was complimentary. Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, not overbearing. Menu looked expensive, but it was reasonable for top tastes and service on a special occasion.
Have been to Core many times and it is always a home-run. This latest visit included a menu that made it especially difficult to choose an option. Was temped to order the WHOLE thing. Service is special, knowledgable and personal. Special "shout out" to Jennifer that made my evening with my mom extra special. I look forward to coming back.
WOW - this was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time. So impressed with the menu and the food was absolutely delicious. Every course was perfection. The bar tender also made the best cocktails. Service was unobtrusive and 1st class! Overall a 10++++.
My wife and I consider the CORE our "go to" place for a special night out. Our most recent visit renewed that feeling. My wife had a pasta dish and I had pork tenderloin. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious.we shared a toffee pudding dessert that should be illegal. It was that good! And kudos to our server Jennifer, who was sweet, attentive, and totally professional in every way. We will, of course, be back!
amazing breakfast, and dinner. Our server had housekeeping bring us a blanket at dinner! Beautiful property, impeccable service. Great attention to detail from the hostess, expeditors, bussers, and servers.
Great as always !
What a wonderful way to surprise family by dining At the Ritz!
We had a lovely dinner on the patio. My husband ordered the mushroom pasta and I had the snapper. Of the two, I think the mushroom pasta was the most memorable but they were both very good. Low key, friendly, unobtrusive staff who managed the balance of being available without being too present at our table.
