Wonderful food and attentive to our needs. We did the food and wine pairing and it was great. My only complaint is your noise level.
Incredible food and service, wait staff was wonderful and the food was delicious!
The quality of the service and meal were top notch. I appreciated they were able to accommodate my wife's food sensitivities. WE are in an older demographic so the noise level was a little bothersome as well as the millennial male in the next table dropping F bombs.
I will definitely recommend Coquette to my friends who are travelling to NOLA
This was our third visit to Coquette. Every time, the staff are friendly and kind, the service is impeccable, the food is an absolute pleasure, and the experience is well worth the visit. We always leave feeling like we've been amongst friends. The restaurant's exposed brick interior, beautiful chandeliers and contemporary art make it feel elegant yet accessible, welcoming diners in casual and dressy attire alike. Their menu changes seasonally, features farm fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, and mixes flavors and textures creatively to delight the palate. We had the wagyu beef hanger steak with cabbage this time and, like always, found it perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. For a real treat, stop by for fried chicken during brunch. It will surprise you and could easily be the best I've ever had.
Wonderful 5 course blind tasting menu with fabulous wine pairing. Never disappointed with experience or food.
second time was also a charm. looking forward to #3. from beginning to end always a treat
We had a great experience at Coquette. It was some of the best food we had in NOLA during our 4 day culinary trip. Standouts were the squash tempura and speckled trout. Ryan the wine guy made some great pairing advice. We would definitely return!
Fantastic, superb every dish was heavenly sent. The presentation was as good as a magazine shoot. Only downside it was noisy. Hard to hear the person next to me ( and I hear well). Decor did not absorb sound and the speakers were overhead and turned too loud.
Absolutely amazing! I am from NOLA so it’s hard to impress me....I fell in love with Coquette!
Best meal of our trip. Amazing. Insanely delicious flavors. Great service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great restaurant , amazing food. Ambiance on main level amazing, but they brought us upstairs and it was the total opposite. Asked if we could go downstairs but were told the main level was for large groups.
When we left we saw 2 empty tables for 2 in a bustling lively environment.. not sure why they couldn’t accommodate us.
The five course tasting menu was amazing!
I spent the last seven days and nights eating lu ch and dinner at every imaginable turn and Coquette winds the gold medal, hands down. We took my 88 years young native New Orleanian mom for her birthday. She’s an outstanding cook herself and has an acutely critical pallete that usually ends with I WOULDNT CALL THAT GUMBO and sometimes YUCK. No such words ever sounded from her mouth as she relished with every bite of her redfish. We also dined on speckled trout and pork chops and luckily I was able to taste each.
It was a savory and sweet culinary climb all week long but no meal delivered like Coquette. It’s the only restaurant I would have loved to revisit and dit at the beautifully restored bar and sample a tasting menu.
See you on Mom’s 89th!
The tasting menu was a great experience! We all got the wine pairing, and had a lovely time discovering the great combinations that were presented. The snapper and asparagus dishes in particular were to die for! I would recommend the upstairs seating area, as it was a good deal quieter than the area down by the bar. The hostess tried to convince us to sit downstairs, even after I had specifically requested a place upstairs, and I am glad we insisted on the upstairs room, as the atmosphere was much better for conversation. The servers were good about explaining what each dish was and providing details about the wine selections, since there was no written reference for what would be included in the experience. The quantity was just enough to satisfy our appetites, and we left happy!
My hubby and I wanted to try something new. This place had awesome reviews. The menu was very small and the food was ok. It was way over priced. They were also out of all Canadian liquor. My hubby was very upset. Also the beer list they claim to have was awful and not a good selection at all. We were not too impressed and will not be returning.
Wonderful- exceeded expectations!
Good food, awesome ambiance.
This is my third trip to Coquette. We were there for Saturday brunch, and we ordered the family style fried chicken lunch which came with biscuits, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, greens and pickles. I asked to add a plate of crawfish beignets, which only added $5 to the meal. There were 4 of us and when the food arrived, we weren't sure it would be enough. Everything was delicious and we ended up taking home leftovers! I've also been here for an anniversary dinner and we chose the tasting menu with wine pairings. You just trust the staff to bring out dishes and everything was incredible. An unforgettable night. This is a top notch restaurant without being pretentious at all. Can't wait until my next trip to NOLA to eat here again.
Everything was nice. Great ambiance, beautiful building. It was a little loud but not much can be done about that. I thought the food was good but slightly overpriced. We had eaten the evening before at Cafe Amelie and thought it was better in every way and about the same price for better food. The waitress was excellent.
Went for my wife’s birthday while in New Orleans. Amazing food and service with a personalized experience that makes for a memorable meal. It’s clear the staff enjoy working there!
Food was very well prepared. Trout was delicious! Service was a little slow. Would benefit by more of a “team” approach to serving. It was a cool night and we were seated near the door so got a blast of cold air every time someone walked in.
Best snapper preparation we'd had since Paris. Incredible meal and the most memorable of all in our New Orleans stay.
As usual, Coquette didn’t disappoint. Food gets 4 stars because the fried chicken lacked depth of flavor and the tiramisu seemed like it didn’t use ladyfingers. These were just oops, not enough to turn me away. I’ll be back!
We did the tasting menu with wine pairing for two people and it was almost $300. For that price I expected exceptional food and service and received neither. Service was very slow, food was just ok, and the wine pairings were sparse. I would have felt that I overpaid at half the price, so felt completely ripped off when the bill came. Will never come back, much better food and value elsewhere.
Exceptional food. Simple and sophisticated in the same time. I had the octopus (the broth was divine) and the trout which was unbelievable.
We had appetizers and drinks here prior to dinner at Commander's Palace. The ambiance was quiet and sexy with a cool bar and lighting around the bar. Great drinks, food, and excellent service! We were in town a short while so we tried to hit the best local places -this is definitely one I’d recommend!
Our favorite spot in nola, never had a bad experience and recommend to everyone.
The. Best. Food. In. NOLA. Period. Wait, make that six periods. Really, you must try this restaurant. As foodies, we were blown away by the flavor profiles.
Really really good food. Seating better downstairs for a romantic evening. Upstairs was very noisy
The trout was FANTASTIC! would definitely come again!
Friendly, professional and prompt service
Creative food, tasty, excellent.
Will definitely recommend Coquette
Wonderful atmosphere with very good food. Did the tasting and was pleasantly surprised by what the chef brought out for us. They definitely saved the best for last with the most delicious dessert! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the New Orleans area. Additionally, would definitely recommend making a reservation!
The interior is inviting and warm. The menu is deceptively simple. By that I mean it lists feature ingredients. But the menu came alive when Loriana described the preparation and tastes of the food. Well done! I also like that she showed us the wine bottles even though we only had wine by the glass. Never know when you might have a new favorite to recognize in the wine shop.
We did the tasting menu and it was wonderful. We loved the long rice with popcorn! Thank you for a nice evening
Delicious and creative menu, lovely presentation of appetizers and entrees, signature cocktails (alcoholic and non-), intimate atmosphere without being fussy, tremendous service — a new favorite place to share a wonderful and unrushed meal! Best to make a reservation so that you can enjoy your meal— there were several ‘stop-in’ potential diners in the 6 pm timeframe who were turned away because there were not any available tables.
Was ok. The server was very nice and staff friendly. Portions were way under sized. When I order a New York strip, I expect a steak not 2 tiny medallions. The catfish mousse with crudités small plate was nice but awkward to eat.
We did the chef's blind tasting 5-course menu with wine pairing. A lovely surprise came in the form of two amuse bouche beforehand. Each course was delectable, and the wine pairings were perfect. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine. I had a lot of great meals this trip, but this was my favorite. I will do it again the next time I am in New Orleans, which will be soon!
Food was great, drinks were good but took a long time to get them. We had to remind server twice about checking on drink order. We had a reservation and there were plenty of tables downstairs by the window but they sat us upstairs in the corner with large party with lots of children. We didn’t get the option to sit downstairs by the window, as we had hoped.
This is a great place to dine. Small and quaint worth the trip down Magazine St. Food and service was amazing
The most delicious red snapper I have ever had! A great dining experience!
