My husband and I ate here for a belated Valentine's day dinner. When I made the reservations I did so based on babysitter availability. I forgot all about lent. My husband doesn't eat meat or dairy on Wednesdays and Fridays during lent. I had my heart set on the blind tasting but was worried they couldn't accommodate with my husband's dietary restrictions. I called 2 days before to make sure it wouldn't be an issue. I spoke with Lauren, she was very friendly and super understanding. She made a note on our reservations for us. They even called the next day to confirm our reservations and dietary restrictions again so that the kitchen could prepare. From the time we arrived the service was great. Our waitress was actually Lauren, and she was wonderful. I don't know how they made a 7 course meal with no dairy or meat (seafood was ok to eat) but they did, and it was nothing short of fabulous! I also had the wine pairing and every glass of wine was so good! I can't wait to go back and eat there when we don't have any dietary restrictions. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Coquette. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. The atmosphere was perfect. Our group of five could easily visit and hear each other.

We felt like service was more appropriate for the tables around us. No one explained the dishes to us and we saw dishes being explained to other tables. When we were directed to the bar when we first walked in, the female bartender did not greet us, but asked us with an attitude whether or not we had a reservation. I know I was polite and smiled, but definitely felt like this was not reciprocated. No one was aware that it was my fiancé’s birthday despite me stating that under the reservation. Food was great. Crawfish agnolotti entree was good, but the portion (about 4-5 pieces of stuffed pasta) was probably about a third or less than a third of the red snapper entree.

We had the brunch fried chicken which we had enjoyed in past. This time, there were many fewer pieces of chicken and a side of uninspired mashed potatoes.

Coquette has been a long-time favorite. A talented kitchen with a bent toward vegetables is always appreciated. But our meal tonight was a disappointment. I ordered a wine by the glass advertised as a 2011 Grenache. The waiter delivered a 2016 vintage, a rather large difference in quality, without any comment. When I pointed out the discrepancy, he said he would notify the manager. There was never any acknowledgment that this wasn't right. Talented cooking is good; we have a lot of that in New Orleans. But integrity is also important. On that basis, at least tonight, Coquette missed the mark.

While at a convention, three of us went here on the recommendation of a friend, and it did not disappoint! Interesting craft cocktails and a nice selection of beer and wine. We split an appetizer, and each had an entree and then we split a dessert. We all agreed it was the perfect meal. The chef is particularly good with vegetables. Super-friendly service with excellent pacing. I would steal a loaf of the fresh bread that was presented to the table!! And a nice energy about the place--quiet enough to talk. Not cheap but not expensive for all we got.

We had an absolutely fabulous meal during our visit to the restaurant. We went with the 5 course blind tasting menu and a wine pairing. Every course was outstanding and the wines perfectly matched the food. The server was knowledge and helpful and the space was intimate without being crowded.

A standout among many great dining establishments. Cajun and creole roots updated with very modern french preparations. Chef's will also accomodate any dietary restrictions. great for Vegan or Gluten free. Only disappointment was they don't do their famous francaise fried chicken on Wednesdays! don't miss the deserts either, and if you like cheese at the end of the meal, they have that too. nice selection of wine and specialty cocktails.

Atmospheric local Garden District restaurant that doesn’t seem to attract a tourist crowd. Limited but interesting menu, attentive servers and beautifully restored brick bar dominating the restaurant space. Coming from New York, we thought this was a real find — we felt like we lived here!

I have been to Coquette several times and have never had a bad experience. This time, i was SUPER disappointed. Waiting staff was not nearly as attentive (took almost 15 minutes to get 2 mimosas and a bloody mary) and I was really disappointed in their menu. They usually have a 3 course brunch with 3-4 choices for each course that is sure to appeal to everyone. It was disappointing to find the Sunday Brunch was cut down to two courses, with less options. We found ourselves ordering basic things like french fries and scrambled eggs. Definitely not the meal/experience I was expecting. HIGHLY disappointed.

Coquette came highly recommended by two locals who were clearly very tuned in to the NOLA dining scene. We appreciated that we could make a reservation there for Sunday brunch. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from Toure. We both got the two-course brunch menu enabling us to sample all four of the dishes that were available. Everything was delicious. The first course of baby carrots really stood out for me. The scrambled eggs with caviar on rye toast was a thing of beauty. The chocolate pudding dessert was another of the meal's highlights. And it's important to note that great care was put into the cocktail creations. Toure made me a La Louisianne which was one of the best libations I had during my week in town. The ambiance was warm, classic and non-imposing. It's also in a cool neighborhood with good shopping in walking distance which is a nice way to follow a meal.

Sunday brunch at Coquette. What, no fried catfish? Initially we were disappointed because we love the fried catfish. However, because the menu changes frequently and well we should not have been surprised. What was a surprise was the truly wonderful fried chicken with mashed potatoes and butter beans served family style. With biscuits! Ah, and a bottle of French Chablis (yes, with catfish!). Coquette never disappoints. Great food, service and ambience.

The menu was very limited, with no specials for the evening. "Strip steak" was not, who knows what the over smoked piece of grainy, dull beef actually was. Waiter totally tone deaf, just going thru the motions. Better restaurants in the city, won't be back.

I have been to Coquette many times and it never disappoints. I would not call myself a Foodie but I have been to two of Thomas Keller's restaurants and, while great meals, were not as fondly remembered and savored as Coquette. For some reason, I feel this place is special. The Magazine Street and NOLA vibe help with atmosphere. The intimate neighborhood and unpretentious ambiance come together in a way that can only happen in New Orleans.

Most visits, I urge the table (and usually prevail) to, in the menu's parlance, "Put yourself in Our Hands." This tasting menu is always special and full of creative, whimsical and compellingly crafted dishes.

Some highlights were the Red Fish (Snapper I believe), The butter beans paired with Altesse from Savoy. I am a red drinker at heart and we were served this wine just before the dish. A quick amuse bouche and I am thinking, "another wimpy white I won't remember." Oh, how wrong I was! Paired with the Butter beans, a duet was formed and it hit high notes. The Pork Tenderloin was paired with a Central Coast Pinot Noir and it shows just how far the San Luis Obispo has come as a wine region that it could hold its own with Pork prepared by a New Orleans chef.

Though I have forgotten the details of the palate cleanser issued prior to dessert, it was evident the depth of care involved in preparing a dish in anticipation of another dish.

Great staff, great time and great food from my pick as the number one attraction of New Orleans.

This dining experience hit all the right points from the moment we walked in. The server knew from reading our Open Table reservation info that we were celebrating our engagement and brought out a couple of glasses of sparkling wine. This set the right tone and it was maintained through the evening. Multiple servers tending to the table, taking away used dishes, glasses and stemware, and adding new with impeccable timing. The food itself was imaginative, delicious, thoughtfully plated, and smartly proportioned. At the end we were thoroughly satisfied but not stuffed. This is the best restaurant experience we've had in NOLA so far.

One of my favorite spots. New Orleans has excellent restaurants, but many of them do versions of the same (yes, delicious) creole thing. Coquette is refreshingly different and creative. The smoked catfish dip was delicious as were the baby carrots. The snapper, with celery, satsuma and brown butter made me want to lick the bowl. The ambiance -- especially in the upstairs dining room -- makes any dinner feel special.

Dining at Coquette was fabulous and delicious. We shared our plates and recommend the rabbit pâté, rillettes & rye bread, the pork loin with sweet potato, pecans, & crowder peas and the speckled trout & shrimp with chaurice sausage dressing. Definitely a great intro to southern cooking with locally sourced ingredients. All of the staff were friendly and very attentive. The service was excellent.
