Coquette is a favorite of ours. We’re regular brunch patrons ($2 mimosas on Sunday!!) but also enjoy the lunch and dinner menus.

Great great place to take friends and out-of-towers for a fun social meal as well. May not be the best spot for business meals as it can be quite noisy, though it’s never over the top or too loud.

It is always a delight to eat at Coquette; the food is consistently good with good service. We especially enjoy sitting at their bar and the wonderful bar staff.

This is an excellent Brasserie where good French food is served in a beautiful setting that gives you the impression to be sitting in one of the traditional brasseries that can be found along some of the boulevards in Paris. There is also great bar.
Finally, I cannot resist to note that there is a blissful lack of big, annoying and flickering TV screens.

Everything was just OK, from the food to the service. It was very cold outside and the wind howled through the dining room every time someone opened the front door, which would have been OK if not for the presence of my 93 year old father-in-law in the path of the draft. Had to ask for the coffee he ordered to be delivered (waiter forgot it) and for it to be refilled. Daughter's eggs in her Benedict were overdone, and my other daughter's Monte Cristo was slightly burnt on the edges - not just caramelized, burnt. Wife's bacon was not only NOT crisp, it was barely cooked at all. I had the hanger steak frites, and it was very good, though. And my father-in-law's pancakes were excellent and the portion was very generous.

Quiche Lorraine is outstanding. French toast, however, only had to slices of bread and was not a good value (especially if you are hungry). Overall, it's a very nice atmosphere and is usually very crowded for brunch.

My wife's grouper was cooked well with an ample side of ratatouille. My duck breast was more an adequate in portion and cooked to request (medium rare). Personally, I would have cooked the skin to a crispy state instead of the raw and rubbery consistency it came with. My sides were also adequately portioned.
Service was timed well enough and he was courteous.
For local French restaurants, I would place Coquette slightly above average.

Always fine food, atmosphere, and service at Coquette's. Went with my elder parents and children. Everyone enjoyed it. The black and white tiles, banquettes, zinc bar, etc, are reminiscent of a Parisian cafe. Can't wait to go back!

Definitely enjoy this place for lunch but often disappointed at dinner. Seemed as though they were skimpy with portions for the size of the plating ... considering the price. Very crowded week night and food wasn’t wonderful.

This a great spot for meeting up with friends and getting quality foods prepared to order with a professional server. The complimentary breads are yummy. I avoid lactose, so my salmon was cooked to order with no dairy sauce, and substituted with seasonings and lemon that were perfect compliment to the fish. Really appreciate the chefs & servers attention to special diet requests.

Our entrees (salmon and scallops) and wine were very good. The escargot was very disappointing. We have had it at other places and it had flavor. I don't know that we would drive from Durham to go here again but if you are in the area shopping, etc., it might be a good choice for something different.

We come to Coquette Brasserie fairly often. The food is always delicious and we enjoy the seasonal changes to the menu; and the daily features are always amazing. We enjoyed the Foie Gras, Tomato Bisque, Steak Frittes, Duck Breast and a delicious seasonal root vegetable dish that was so decadently rich we were blown away. The Creme Brûlée is also a personal favorite. Our table this past visit was adjacent to the ordering station for the wait staff and it was very loud and distracting and definitely impacted our enjoyment of the evening. Our mistake was not insisting that we be moved to a less noisy and congested spot.

Always enjoy Coquette!! This was the first time that I tried the seafood crepe and I wouldn’t get it again. It’s personal preference but I don’t understand why chefs smother crepes with sauce. Everything else from the bottle of wine to the Apple Tartin Dessert were perfect.
