They are getting their mojo back. Joseph, one of the mgr./maître d's is back two days and a week and makes the whole evening enjoyable. The bartender, Anastasia is really good. Those two make you feel at home when you go often as a regular. The mgr. Kenny still has a lot on his hands but things are getting better. Not to mention the vibe of the place is much better now that there's light jazz music vs. Michael Jackson and the Bee Gee's on a Sat. night.

They are really getting their mojo back. The bartender is really nice and knows her stuff. One of the old managers, Joseph, is back once a week and is fantastic. The music was light and jazzy and made sense (vs. when they played disco and M. Jackson all night.)

Every time my family has eaten here we have left pleased. The food is very good. The atmosphere is inviting and the service is excellent. The only problem is that it isn't as busy as we would like. So if you live or work in the Murray Hill area I strongly suggest you visit Coppola's East

From the outside Coppola looks like any other restaurant, when we walked in we were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was great and had a very up-scale feel inside. The wait staff was kind and attentive(our water glasses we're never less than half full). A group of four of us shared their classic margherita thin crust pizza as an appetizer and they gave us complimentary bruschetta. Both were delicious. For meals there was a mix of chicken dishes and pasta. Chicken park and milanese we're awesome as well as the spinach ravioli and the penne vodka. Definitely would recommend - quality food and restaurant!

Great drinks, food, and atmosphere. My party was a group of 5 people, and we all enjoyed our drinks and meal. However, the restaurant was hot, and we notified our main server who advised us the front door was open. It was a hot and humid night, and the temperature was uncomfortable in the restaurant. During the beginning of our dining experience, my party felt rushed, and we informed our main server we weren't under any time constraints. As there wasn't anyone waiting for our table, the service improved yet the restaurant was still hot. I would give this restaurant another try as their drinks and food were delicious. My party enjoyed the margarita pizza, chicken parmigiana, pappardelle with short ribs, shrimp parmigiana, and stuffed chicken Toscana. We were all too full to sample dessert.

We hadn't been out of the house to eat in quite a while. Coppola's East was the perfect place for us that day. It's just a few blocks from us and because we went early (shortly before 6PM), it wasn't very full, hence it was thankfully quiet most of the time we were there. What's more, all of the staff were consistently observant of whether we needed anything else. Also, when it looked as if we were done with something - the delicious bread or an appetizer or our meal, they quickly asked if we needed anything else.

There were 3 of us eating dinner, the waiter brought my Son's meal out first, we assumed the meals for my Wife and I would follow shortly. Not the case, our meals came out 20 minutes after my Son's meal we told him to eat and he completely finished his meal then our meals finally came out! This was real bad I never experienced this before and the waiter said our meals would be right out, 20 minutes later isn't right out! I will never return to this place plus the food wasn't that great.

Waiters and food was fabulous as always. But again there was another new bartender-though she was just wonderful. Hope she stays. And another new hostess. No one greets you and gets to know you like the old days with all the other mgrs and regular hostesses though.

Great food and service. Elegant ambience too. The wine was amazing, smooth rich flavor and elegant. Julia James Pinot Noir. The Coppola is just as good. The mixed seafood with pasta delicious. And lastly, the deserts all good!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for years, but since I live uptown, just never got around to it. Well,,last night was the night and it definitely did not disappoint. The food was outstanding. There were five of us for dinner and we each thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The room itself is lovely, roomy, with tables spaced far enough apart so that conversation is comfortable. The menu is very varied and everything was really delicious. I highly recommend.

Mediocre food -- most notably the meatball appetizer, which was both flavorless and had poor texture -- but nice decor and fine service. I would not go back.

The restaurant graciously handled our party of 8 and everybody was very happy with the quality of the food, which seemed to be consistently quite good across a wide range of appetizers and entrees. Just one example: what appeared on the menu to be a humdrum and potentially small artichoke and asparagas salad turned out to be a rather large, fresh, colorful and tasty salad, and the grilled shrimp on top was perfectly spiced and cooked, making for an excellent light meal on a hot summer night. Our waiter was attentive and promptly and apologetically corrected an error concerning one dish. We would be happy to return in the future.

My friend and I were there on a very quiet, early Sunday evening, just before the Fourth of July. For that reason the restaurant was almost empty; fine as far as I am concerned because I hate noisy restaurants! The service was excellent and the food very good except that the appetizer portions were enormous. They were enough to provide an 87 year old woman with take out dinner the next evening!

All in all, the meal was positive. We had some confusion that I attribute to a couple of our dinner guests changing their minds and the waiter not taking the time to exactly understand what was wanted. A server also served a dish to the wrong person. They didn't say what they were serving, they put it down in front of the last person without food. (Someone had order two items.) A server should ALWAYS state what is being delivered to a customer.) These problems were about the service, not the food - which was great! I should also mention that the server and the manager apologized and tried to fix the problem. A couple of people at the table could have spent less time being outraged, and more time trying to help. Bottom line - food was great and I will be back.

Food was good and at very reasonable prices. If you're eating alone or if you don't care about the noise level it's a great deal. But I brought a date there on a Sunday night thinking it would be reasonably quiet. The other guests were so loud that I had to leave early and go somewhere else. I couldn't hear my date talk and it was extremely frustrating. I would never bring a date there again. The noise totally ruined it. Even after moving out table.

This week's experience was a tad better than two weeks ago; no Michael Jackson/Bee Gees music. Just wonderful smoother jazz. Lovely. Delicious food and attentive wait staff. Brand new bartender, again, who, while very nice, started her first day that very Saturday (of all days of the week to start) and didn't seem to have experience in making a simple martini and didn't know what glass to pour wine into. Still a bit disappointing overall - waiting to see if the bar/manager situation improves. The place was pretty empty so others must be seeing what's going on as well.

Coppola's was an exquisite dining experience. I was NYC visiting a friend in the hospital. Coppola's was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. Superb Merlot. The service was of high standard and quality, the attentiveness of the wait staff was exceptional! I so loved the sauce on the thin pasta with seafood! I will return to this lovely place!!!
Thanks for the memories.
