A superb neighbourhood spot with quality Italian food.
Another fabulous meal at Coppi! The halibut was incredible. The service is always friendly and professional. Never disappointed at Coppi.
Nice dinner, fair service and good food. Unfortunately management views substitutions as unreasonable even if they are ordinary and include; chili flakes for pasta or non-fat milk for coffees.
I wanted to love this place as I was really digging the ambiance immediately upon entering. ordered seafood pasta...it was just super super salty:(
Always great
Great...no really great pasta. Best sausage in the city.
The most thoughtfully seasoned part of our meal was the bread. A pinch of salt would've made a world of difference with my pappardelle mare e monte. If the star of the plate was intended to be the cherry tomato, then I tip my hat to the chef. But, that's certainly not what I was expecting when I ordered this dish. The pasta appeared to be poorly drained receiving only the slightest bit of olive oil and the tiniest possible hint of garlic yielding a watery and bland bowl of what otherwise would've been perfectly delicious and obviously in-house prepared pasta. The shrimp was bland and the porcini mushroom was scarce and did not seem fresh (waterlogged like a canned mushroom). My husband ordered the salsiccia e polenta. He, too, was underwhelmed. But, the polenta was PERFECT! We were never informed of the specials and didn't know they existed until we overheard them being explained to another table after we'd placed our orders. Our server seemed annoyed at our request for a recommendation. We tipped well based on the attentiveness of the manager, not our server. All-in-all, it was a lackluster visit that we were incredibly underwhelmed by. It's safe to say that we won't be returning.
Excellent as usual
Buonissimo come sempre. We greatly enjoyed our dinner, and the service was fantastic.
Food was excellent
Great restaurant , dinner was superb , love the decor ! Winterlisuos menu was amazing! Ambience is wonderful ! Will return !
We ordered from the Winterlicious menu, 3 different dishes all delicious. Look forward to returning for another excellent meal
We went during winterlicious and the menu was well worth it but I would definitely go back and order from the regular menu. Everything we chose was delicious and perfectly prepared. One of our friends has celiac disease and they were able to accommodate her without any problems. Even though it doesn't say gluten free on the menu she asked and they were fantastic about it. Service was fantastic and ambience was comfortable and relaxed with some interesting bike inspired decor. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting good quality authentic Italian food. Portions are not huge but we each ordered an appetizer, main and dessert with tea/coffee and it was perfect. We didn't have that overly full feeling at the end of a meal when you over eat. It was a little cold because we were seated near the door but other than that it was great.
Food is terrible and overpriced, what happened to this place? No wonder it was prettt much empty on a friday night.
The portion of the food is bit small and the lamb rack need more sauce. Service is okay
Excellent food, very tasty. Service was very good, waiter was there when needed and not too often to interrupt. Very good restaurant for a business lunch.
I was more than satisfied with the quality and preparation of the food, the excellent service,
attention to detail. Just splendid special occasion for us. Alex goes out of his way to please.
Highly recommend.
Always excellent food and service. We come to Coppi for special occasions.
We went for white truffles and they were great. They also give a genreous serving of truffles on top.
excellent and tasty pasta--the bread they bring to start the meal is to "die for"-- a little pricier than the average Italian bistro--but the food and ambience are worth the small extra charge
My husband said it was the best fish ever. I had the salmon and go back all the time because of this dish. It's a hidden gem with amazing food
We go to Coppi every now and then. It is a very good Italian restaurant with some great dishes. We do miss the original owner Fausto but it is in good hands. Service is always friendly and polished. Try the fish encrusted in salt. Very tasty plus you get the table service when they crack the crust open and fillet the fish. The room has gone a renovation, I think it has been a few years now, and looks good.
I've been coming to Coppi for years for all sorts of occasions. The food never disappoints and I love that we can bring our own wine to make for an even more memorable meal! We will be back.
No server until 20 minutes into seating. No fish left and we were not told to order that ASAP. and steak was overcooked but new one was made, after everybody was finished eating.
My friends and I got together to celebrate our anniversaries and decided to enjoy the Summerlicious menu at Coppi. My husband and I have enjoyed dinner at Coppi before as well as the Summerlicious menu last year. There was no doubt that we would enjoy this year's menu. Dinner was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Went for Summerlicious. Very good value. Good sized portions. Just wish the waiter hadn't rushed us so much to place our order.
Will definitely go back.
Coppi continues to deliver fine food, excellent service, good value
Their summerlicious menu was definitely a much smaller portion than you would get off the regular menu. I've been there before so I know. If it were my first time, I definitely would not go back.
3 out of 4 guests had unacceptable fish as the main course of Summerlicious. In fairness, when the problem was identified the restaurant tried hard to offer various ways of rectification, but bad impressions are hard to overcome . They get good marks for trying but bad marks for needing to try.
Helpings for Summerlicious were cost management small -- not what one should have if the point of summerlicious is to introduce to guests the merits of a restaurant they might not otherwise visit. Summerlicious is an opportunity for a restaurant to show off their wares --This restaurant missed that point entirely.
Dinner was a SUMMERLICIOUS occasion . Food was good, nice presentation. Waiter taking our order was not very friendly however which, like it or not is all part of the overall experience. Good value.
A wonderful Summerlicious dinner - great ambience- courteous service excellent food ..... No complaints!
Went for summerlicious with some friends. The food was very hit or miss among my group. We all remarked on how yummy the starter bread was (crispy, with olive oil, salt and fresh rosemary). Some were happy with their appetizers but those who got the tomato mozzerella di buffalo salad were disappointed (it was bland and the slices of mozzerella were tiny cubs instead of the usual loony-sized slices). Same with the mains, most of the group felt so-so about their meals. I had the sea bream with olives, cherry tomatoes and roasted potatoes and it was very good. Portion sizes were not large. We were all quite pleased with desserts. Most had the butterscotch pudding which was rich and creamy. The Gida D'Italia cocktail was very tasty, not too sweet and quite refreshing. Which was a good thing because the restaurant was quite hot that day. It was very hot and humid outside and we were seated by the window with the sun coming in. The staff was feeling it too. Would I go back to Coppi? It wouldn't be my first choice but if my dining companion(s) wanted to, I wouldn't be opposed.
Had a great night out with friends at Coppi, Summerlicious was a great opportunity to enjoy the food. I had the beet salad and cod fish so good. Would go back for sure.
I was extremely pleased with the service and food. The restaurant is very modern and the theme appealing - I've been a fan of Fausto Coppi in my younger days. The restaurant tables are nicely spread out so there is never a crammed feeling like seen in many other restaurants.
Michael - our server - was excellent and yet attentive. He let us order at our own pace and when we were ready. We never felt rushed throughout the evening.
So much so we had to ask for the bill........even though we had closed the restaurant. Now that is a feeling I have only experienced in Europe. Kudos!
I recommend you keep on going with this formula.....because customers will notice and the word will spread.....this is a hidden gem
Although we have had some good meals here in the past on this occasion we were a larger group and the service was exceptionally slow even though it was a week night. When food came much of it was not hot. We stated our concerns but staff was not very responsive. We were very disappointed as we were entertaining out of town guests .
We had a very nice experience. The food and service were wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect for meeting with friends.
As always, a great spot to dine with casual waiters, lovely ambiance and most importantly delicious food.
Absolutely delicious food, beautiful presentation, and first class service. I highly recommend Coppi.
Finally, a place to eat where you can carry on a conversation while eating . The food is very good and the service fast. We will return.
Neighbourhood gem. Had the octopus calamari, Buffalo caprese, Oso Buco, and grouper special. All were fantastic. Great flavours, well presented. A nice space with lots of space between large tables. Will go again
