Welcome to Copperwood Tavern, located in Shirlington Village. Our menu offers an array of scratch-made dishes and seasonal flavors along with a selection of handcrafted cocktails, 20 Virginia craft beers on tap, and an extensive selection of bourbons and Virginia wines. Copperwood exudes a cozy cabin-style vibe; great for a date night, business lunch, or weekend brunch with the family.
Join us weekdays for lunch, happy hour $2 oysters from 3-6, or dinner!
On weekends we offer brunch from 9am-4pm featuring classics such as chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and bananas foster French toast along with a selection of brunch libations.

    While the food and drinks were mediocre, the ambiance was great. A nice patio area for outdoor eating during great weather.

    The Breakfast Sandwich was ordered and it was subpar for the guest. They were disappointed that the “sliced brioche bread” seemed to be a hamburger bun and a soggy one at that. The sandwich ingredients of egg and sausage weren’t very good so all in all the dish was only salvaged by the fries. The rest of the party enjoyed their orders.

    Amazing food choices, tender meat, succulant sauces and fabulous fresh and well-prepared vegetables! The height of a restaurant is the choice of vegetables and how they complement the main.

    The food was disappointing. The French Onion Soup was oily, cheese congealed into dense globs, bread soaked into submission and all overly salty. I can't remember what else we ate and never finished the soup. Oh, the wine was good. I remembered having a great experience at this place but learned there were new owners since my last visit.

    Go to in Shirlington for lunch with colleagues. Always good service, good ambiance, good food, etc. Would visit more often if home was closer.

    My server was Marcos. We didn’t feel that he was attentive enough and wasn’t listening effectively. Several things weren’t acknowledged as far as modifications to accompany my allergies.
