I have been here a few times -- I don't find the menu particularly interested and my food has been served cold at least twice. I only go if I can't get in somewhere else.
I love the atmosphere. Food was delicious. Me and my Sisters came for brunch. Family friendly.
Brunch was really good. The service was great. Scott our server made sure everything came out the way we wanted.
Having an early dinner, we opted for something light and ordered farm fresh salads with grilled shrimp. Everyone enjoyed the generous beautifully presented salads - since it was St.. Patricks weekend, my husband had the Irish stew special which was quite tasty down to the last droplet!
Great waiter who explained the history of the pub and the artifacts on the wall ---
Highly recommend. Wine pours generous. Free popcorn for table - set the right tone.....
Food was just not good, except for the gratis popcorn
Always a good time at Copperwood Tavern! Excellent food, cocktails to live for and the most courteous attentive service ever! Highly recommend!
Service was great and food was delicious. Great selection of local beer AND liquor. Love the outside patio but the inside is fun too.
This was my first time at Copperwood and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was awesome and I really loved the décor, especially all of the candid pet pics that line the hallway at the restrooms. I felt it was a little pricey, but not crazy and in the end, worth it. It was a great night out, and we'll definitely go back.
Our food was good but not great. The French Toast sticks (appetizer) were very oily but my omelet was perfect. The restaurant is very loud and the table are close together so you hear several conversations at once.
Copperwood Tavern is my go to restaurant when entertaining out of town guests. The food is on point as are the cocktails. We had side of the truffle Mac n cheese and Brussel sprouts to share. Great quality rib eye cooked perfect and to top it off cheese cake for dessert!
On vacation. Really enjoyed our breakfast here.
Great as usual! We have been multiple times and it has always been good.
Great variety of food and specials. Love the grilled oysters on happy hour.
Great food as usual. The kitchen took a little long to get us our meals but that happens. Scott our server did a great job.
It was just okay. Nothing to ride home over. service was good. The waiter and hostesses were nice. Busboys around the corner is the better option. Food and taste wise
I have brought several friends there! Always have had good service and food. Will come again!
We arrived early for our reservation and were seated almost right away. The waiter (Scott) was outstanding. The food (particularly the Salmon and Apple Pie) were delicious. We already made a reservation to come back!
Food, service, everything was an excellent way to start a theater evening!
Great place for brunch! Highly recommend.
Yes, our service was great and the food was delicious. I had the goat cheese and Virginia ham appetizer and salmon for my entree.
While my porkchop tasted fine (not great, not good - fine), I'm still stumped as to why Copperwood, alone among restaurants as near as I can determine, doesn't serve a side or two with a $26 entree. That needs to change. Drinks were ok. Service good. Really loud inside the restaurant - difficult to hold a conversation. I just think I can get far better value for my money at one of four or five other much better restaurants a stone's throw away in Shirlington.
Great place for dinner! Yum!
Well rounded menu and good portion size. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Very nice place for after theater meal.
The food is always great and the service is fantastic. It is a fun lively place to have lunch, brunch or dinner.
Great! We’ll be back.
Recently moved to Shirlington from Clarendon and went here after dropping off the Uhaul for brunch. What a difference compared the rowdy drunk crowds in Clarendon. Noise volume was really really good for a brunch crowd and seemed a lot more family friendly than I’m used to which is a welcome change. Loved that they had a glass of brut on the brunch menu beyond the typical bloodies and mimosas. My food was fine, but my partners food was FIRE.
I wish that I had got the short rib grilled cheese like he did- next time!
Food was great but the service was less than average. I will definitely go back to this restaurant and hope for better service but expect great food.
We took 2 couples with us and they hadn’t been there before. They loved their meal from the popcorn to the Berkshire pork chop to the smoked Gouda mashed potatoes. Everything was wonderful and we’ll be back and so will they!
Copperwood is good. It’s a bit on the pricier side but it has a nice ambiance. Our server was good but could have been more friendly. Not sure how I feel about the setup of their meals. I enjoy my food with a side but you have to order the side extra. Overall, I’ll go back, but not my first choice in dining!
Great food, ambiance was awesome and the staff were extremely professional and friendly. I am extremely happy with the service level of this restaurant.
We enjoyed the brunch very much. I had the biscuits and gravy, which were really good. The gravy was very creamy. My girlfriend had the pulled pork sandwich and she enjoyed it. The avocado toast appetizer was awesome too. This place is pretty packed on the weekends and it was loud enough that we had trouble hearing the waitress. But it was a good time and we will be back.
Service was exceptional and the food was perfect! It was quiet enough that my friend and I could hear each other talk--so refreshing these days! Great job Copperwood!
Excellent menu including drinks. The lobster roll lettuce wraps appetizer was amazing. Our party of six enjoyed a long dinner with delicious food and drinks. Service was wonderful. Looking forward to going back again hopefully sometime soon!
The bourbon-glazed salmon was melt-in-your-mouth amazing!! Honestly one of the best salmon dishes I have ever had!
Duck breast was a little overcooked, but otherwise great!
My wife and I had brunch with reservations as soon as they opened. The hostess was ready to go an opened the door to the restaurant for us as soon as we arrive (we were a bit early). We sat, were waited on almost immediately, and proceeded to share a couple appetizers (scotch egg and avocado toast) and an entree (chicken and waffles). Both of the apps were good, but nothing that would make me come back and the chicken and waffles was decent... a bit on the dry side. Our drinks were delicious (mimosa and bellini). Wait staff was pleasant and present. Overall, a good experience, and we do recommend.
Really great food (Ribeye and venison), very good wine list.
Great dinning experience, and the entire staff were completely friendly and professional. The food was freshly prepared and delish! Great overall experience!!!
We went for Valentines Day. My wife wasn’t thrilled with the grilled oysters, but we both got steaks for dinner and they were great. Service was very friendly and attentive and overall it’s a good ambiance and atmosphere. We’ll be back.
