We went for Valentines Day. My wife wasn’t thrilled with the grilled oysters, but we both got steaks for dinner and they were great. Service was very friendly and attentive and overall it’s a good ambiance and atmosphere. We’ll be back.
Food was delicious! Our table was available when we arrived and the service was great. Not noisy at all. Great experience.
From the moment we walked in the door until we left no detail was left untouched. From the edible flowers in the cocktails to the microgreens garnishing our locally sourced meals that were cooked to perfection, Copperwood is our new favorite place!
We love this place. Yet, this evening we had a few disappointments, but nothing that would prevent of us from coming back. Our wine of preference, the Uppercut, was no longer available by the bottle, but instead only by th glass. From some reason the sales that two of us ordered out of the four, were never brought to the table. The manger did make amends by buying our table four glasses of wine. And my bolonaise sauce that normally comes with my meal was missing. All First World problems, all minor, is my point, we will definitely revisit this place.
This was our first time dining at Copperwood so we did not know what to expect. Our waitress was helpful and very attentive. The food was excellent, fresh and seasoned well. We will definitely add this restaurant to our favorites and will be coming back...soon.
My first time last a farm to table establishment. I had a great time. Food was excellent, the staff were professional. Will definitely be back and bringing more friends.
All of the we ate had great flavor and came out to our table pretty quick. I highly recommend this restuarant.
Overall everything was great. It was absolutely packed so we felt a little rushed to give up our table before we were quite ready. The service was very good and the food was great. Mimosas were disappointing. You should consider selling the champagne and juice by the bottle when several at a table are ordering the same.
The food is delicious! I’ve been a few times and I have yet to be disappointed.
We were there for Sunday brunch. Arrived about 10 minutes before they opened at 9:00 and they seated us immediately. Pleasant and informative server and delicious food.
Steak salad with Brussels sprouts was great. Grilled oysters, not so much. Bland and tasted more of panko than anything else
Great food. Great service. Good wine selection.
We went for brunch. The bananas foster French toast is excellent, as is the duck hash. Service was efficient and friendly, the whole experience was just really pleasant.
We had a reservation for 8pm for 7 people. At 7:45 they called to make sure we were still coming. We did confirm and we arrived on time. They did not seat us until almost 8:40. Nor did they offer anything to apologize for the delay. Sending a round of drinks or some appetizers to the table would have been a nice touch that would definitely bring me back. But now I might wait a while - this is not the kind of service I expected at these prices and for a restaurant that's been around for a while.
Our food was really good and so was our service. We celebrated my birthday and took my kids. They enjoyed their sliders and mac and cheese. We had the lamb and pork chops, both flavorful. My son asked to come back. Overall, great experience.
The petit file and the truffle Mac & Cheese were both very good. The atmosphere is nice and the service was excellent.
Great food in a relaxed atmosphere. Excellant place to meet with friends.
We love the French onion soup, the pork chop, and the brussel sprouts. And as always, they were delicious!!
This was my second meal at Copperwood Tavern. It was dinner versus brunch, but it was another great experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Issues with food temperature and server attentiveness . However the manager on duty was very helpful in resolving the issues
Seafood was excellent. Service was excellent. Great place to watch live games - can get noisy but full of energy.
Great food, great atmosphere
It was my husband and I anniversary, we enjoyed the salmon we had. This is our favorite place to go, amazing hostess amazing servers, but unfortunately the manager was not good. We asked her a small favor and she seemed annoyed. Sorry if you’re having a bad day, don’t push it on your guest. The staff was amazing, the host welcomed us with a smile and suggested us to try the salmon which was the best decision ever. The server Marcos was so polite and did not rush us at all, I conclude that the staff at copperwood is amazing but the lady manager was not. Hopefully she has a good day unlike Thursday Janauary 9. Never I have a met a hostess and server so polite. Thank you Marcos and the host of that night for making our anniversary more special !!
I have been here before, but this most recent visit was disappointing. We were there for lunch on a Sunday; totally happy with the brunch menu and it wasn't particularly busy. Service was prompt and friendly when we were first seated; our drinks and food arrived quickly. Then the wheels fell apart. My dining partner's burger was apparently good; however, I ordered the steak and brussels salad and asked for my steak to be cooked to medium; it was rare, at best. I tried to eat it anyway, but I literally could not cut through the steak. Our waiter eventually brought over what was supposed to be a steak knife; it might have been a little sharper(?), but *still* couldn't cut through the steak. No one came and asked anything about it, including when they cleared my plate with almost all the steak still there (and clearly undercooked). The waiter was relatively attentive at bringing my dining partner refills on his drinks; I literally had to eventually call out to him after repeated attempts at eye contact, waving my arms, etc. didn't get his attention to refill my empty glass or generally pay attention. I'd understand if they were slammed, but they weren't at all.
Finally, we asked for more popcorn (since I was still hungry after not eating my meal); he said he'd bring it over and never did. So, not the end of the world, but definitely gives me some pause about a repeat visit.
Good neighborhood choice. Good variety. Thoughtful server.
Arrived at Copperwood Tavern with a reservation and was seated immediately. Popcorn replaced the usual bread that is immediately brought to your table. I thought it was odd at first but it was actually really good. Food and drinks were great.
Only issues I had were they do not have A1 sauce for steak, the window seating is uncomfortably hot, prices of the entrees were a bit high, and there aren't any brunch deals... leaving the mimosas VERY expensive for the amount that you receive.
Table service was great; bar service was uneven. Food is excellent!
It is unfortunate that this is my first review of Copperwood Tavern. Before tonight we have always had 5 star food and 5 star service. However, for dinner tonight on my birthday, of all evenings, my husband and I experienced one of the worst services we have ever had at any restaurant.
The evening started off fine, when the dining room was empty. Our server was chatty, friendly and attentive. We ordered a bottle of wine, two of the most expensive entrees, and two a la carte sides. All were delicious.
The dining room got very busy, including our server getting seated with a 20 seat table. Once that table was seated it was at least another 30 minutes before we saw our server again. He only seemed to come to our table because we made eye contact and he saw that we had our leftovers boxed up. we had looked around for a manager, couldn’t identify one and had ended up asking another server for boxes and a bag for our leftovers. When our server finally came by he never addressed His absence, not even an apology or that fact that we had to ask someone else for boxes for our leftovers. He asked about desert, but at that point we opted for another establishment in the neighborhood.
Good thing we ordered the bottle of wine, because if we had ordered wine by the glass we never would’ve gotten a second round at happy hour prices.
It seems as if our two top table and our business wasn’t valued as much as the larger groups that were in the dining room. it’s a shame because we are loyal customers, we even got a Christmas card from Copperwood. It is unlikely that we’ll ever be back.
We went for New Years Day brunch. Food was excellent. Drinks were very good. Our server was not very good but other staff were fine.
Many complain about service today, and sadly, many servers (customer service personnel) just don't quite get it right. I'm very easy going but feel some very minor task-oriented & people skills are lacking many places I go. Servers: Always make sure your customers' drinks are filled. My guest and I only had water...even if that's free, it should be re-filled promptly. We were still paying for an expensive Prix Fixe meal. I'm not a fan of seating strangers practically on top of each other but I recognize space and décor dictate how much "private" seating can be made. Those negatives aside, the place has a unique décor, the food was great and I would definitely return/recommend.
We had our first date here and have been back many times since. We love the happy hour oysters! They are always accommodating to my son who uses a wheelchair. Managers are proactive and problem-solving. And the food is always exceptional.
Great dining experience, enjoyed the food and the Ambiance.
The lobster eggs Benedict was amazing!! Took a long time for my order to be taken but once my order was in my food came out within 15 minutes. Will definitely go back for brunch
It was fine. Went for brunch. The food was okay but didn’t quite hit the mark which was unfortunate.
Our experience was a little off but they covered themselves well: out of our group of four, three orders were screwed up - missing items or in my case a totally wrong order. They immediately brought the missing items (mine needed to be cooked so took longer) and in my case I was comped the entree. They made things right and we all left satisfied.
The brunch menu looked delicious, but not one of our party of four was excited about the food after tasting. French toast sticks, waffles, and pancakes were a little dry, avocado toast lacked seasoning. Country breakfast was just ok. The only thing we really liked was the popcorn. Service was pleasant.
Copperwood is a great place for brunch. Food is always great as well as the staff.
Always consistently good food. Not your ordinary dishes.
Our first time in. While having a great casual feel, food/service for the $ suffers with heavyweight Carlyle G across the street. A starter basket of cold/sticky mini corn muffins diminishes expectations. We ordered the Pan Seared
Salmon, French Onion Soup and Steak & Brussel Sprout Salad--steak had a gamey flavor. Unexpected and unfortunately, not a fan of game. Definite win for rustic warmth and vibe. Will go back for $1 Oyster Happy Hour!
Have been going to Copperwood for several years. The place is not an expensive one however I enjoy going there for special occasions. The decor is sort of modern farm house, the service is always attentive and efficient, and the food is great. Even a simple salad w chicken is very good. Large selection on good wines and all kinds of beers. Lots of free parking makes it much easier and cheaper than going downtown.
