My daughter and my first time there in a busy Friday night. Food was fresh and excellent. I had the chicken sandwich and the hand cut fries. My daughter had the butter brown chicken. Both so moist!

I go to Copperwood all the time, usually sitting in the bar area or outside if it's nice. My girlfriend asked to go there, so I made a reservation to ensure we had a seat, as the bar and outdoor seating can sometimes get full. When we were seated, I asked for the bar menu as the main menu entrees were more food than I wanted and I know from having been there sometimes 1-2 times a week that the bar menu has sandwiches and burgers that are smaller. Our server said we could not order from the bar menu, that you had to sit in the bar area or outside to do so. Rather than offer to reseat us, she got the manager, who also did nothing to resolve the issue, but rather threw the owner under the bus saying that it is the owner's rule that people sitting in the "dining room" can't order from the bar menu. This makes no sense as the "dining room" was virtually empty and the bar area was literally on the other side of a half wall from our table. Moving less than ten feet would determine whether I could order a sandwich or not?! It is also inconsistent because it was not because it was a "bar menu" as if we sat outside I would have been able to order from it as well. I'm also a regular and know many of the servers by name, they know my drinks and I know who working there recently had a baby. You'd think they'd look out for their regulars a little more. The manager didn't offer any resolution either, so I had to be the one to ask to be reseated. Moving less than ten feet to the other side of a half wall into the bar area, we sat and waited...and waited...until finally a server who knows me stopped by and asked if anyone had taken care of us. I said know, and he enthusiastically took care of our order, also explaining that it's the owner's rule. In the end, I was able to order the sandwich I wanted, but it was a lot more work than it needed be to get there. The server who ended up taking care of us was awesome, but the first server and manager were useless.

We can usually count on great food, cocktails and service, however this time were disappointed. Ordered the pork chop and it came out raw. We sent it back and it took so long to replace that the rest of us were finished eating by the time it was delivered to the table. So my mom just packed it up to go. I was shocked that no manager came to apologize or offer to adjust our bill on such a big blunder.

I wanted a special treat for my daughter who I don’t see that often. It was a perfect place. The food was good ambience not too noisy. We had a great time. I think it’s a little bit expensive but other people probably don’t. I’m a single parent and this was the first time I went out in over six months, thank you Copperwood Taven

I was sat quickly! My waiter came and greeted me in a very timely manner. The atmosphere was great, I grabbed a seat in the outdoor seating area allowing me to enjoy nature. I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes - they were very hard and the batter was unappealing. Definitely not worth ordering. I also ordered the Beef Tip, it was a little flavorful but dry. Not good! So overall it was ok, nothing to write home to momma about.

I went for Sunday brunch. Hadn’t been to Copperwood in years. The food was delicious. The service was impeccable. Liz was attentive but not obtrusive. She got everything just right. There was a drip coming from the ceiling, but not too bad. We told Liz about it just so mgr would be aware. I will definitely go back and hopefully be served by the wonderful Liz.

Food was okay 2 of us had the ribeye they we just okay. I think we had higher expectations. We know we could have had a better steak at Ruth Chris but we are big supporters of supporting local restaurants and we prefer farm to table but we're a little disappointed. My wife had the filet and felt the same way. Appetizers were great. Fried green tomatoes and brie. And desserts chocolate cake and ice cream flights were nice key lime cheesecake no flavor.

Have been here numerous times over the years. Have greatly enjoyed the food and beverage most of the time. Sadly the brussel sprouts I have loved were over flavored and just not very good. The truffle mac & cheese had very little cheese taste. The fried chicken just looked unappealing. Not sure if there is a new chef and crew in the kitchen, but will not go back, at least not for food. The last two times it was just ok, this time was just meh. I used to look forward to it being fabulous.

This was our first visit picked randomly from the restaurants in the Shillington Village. While we were concerned at the onset, our server Elliott took really good care of us. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended options that turned out to be great. The medium filet came medium-well but it was tender and the taste was excellent. We plan to return.

We had a business lunch and were not familiar with the restaurant or area. The pictures make it appear to be very appropriate for the meeting. Although we had no problems and the food was delicious, it was much more like a bar than a restaurant. Music was loud but was lowered so we could talk per my request. They did not have iced team, blamed delivery, but made it from teabags for our guests. With so many restaurants in the area I would try something else for a business luncheon.

As usual, our 3 different brunch orders were excellent, delivered hot, and cooked to perfection! The steak and eggs, fabulous, the traditional eggs Benedict were a total hit, and hubby's beef gravy on biscuit (not sure that is correct) made his day. My friend had never been here before and she will return! Loved the crowd and vibe. Service was great as always!

Everyone can have a bad day; every restaurant can have a bad day. My dinner date and I happened to experience on of those bad days at Copperwood Tavern. First impression was that the noise level was high enough that we had a very difficult time trying to converse. I had to speak at elevated volume. I ordered the rockfish entrée, my date ordered the 9 oz filet. I made a point of telling the server I wanted the fist cooked medium rare so that it would be moist. He said it is 'cooked to temperature' and would not come out over-cooked. When served, my rockfish was, in fact, somewhat overcooked, more dry than I would have liked. I chose to keep it. The brussels sprouts side dish was excellent. My date's filet was cooked properly, but she said it had a very distinct 'off-taste' that she did not like. She decided to return it to the kitchen and ordered an alternate dish, which turned out well. Service was pleasant but at times slow and forgetful. Based on our experience, we would not return.
