Really an extraordinary dining experience! We loved every bite and sip!
Copperleaf is one of the best restaurants south of Seattle, no, that is not correct. It is one of the best restaurants in the Seattle area. We had not been back since the new chef took over recently. We always enjoyed properly for the high quality food, the beautiful presentations, and the exceptional service. Nothing has changed with the new chef. The curried butternut squash was an exceptional vegetarian dish. Amongst the other dishes enjoyed were the seabass and the "chicken and dumplings". The seabass was perfectly prepared and accompanied by unexpected sides, such as mustard greens. Rather than try to describe the "chicken and dumplings", I think you just need to go to Cedarbrook Lodge and try it. Copperleaf also has an exceptional wine list including very good wines by the glass. The cocktails are well prepared and use a variety of ingredients not often seen on a typical restaurant menu. Although our server, Marco, had several tables, he was attentive, prompt and helpful.
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and the staff treated us so well.
The only major complaint I have is that the guy would not seat us 15 min early, then seated another group with no reservation. I felt he was rude, if he was worried about the server not being there yet he just should have said our sever is not here yet, are you ok with waiting?
Everything is perfect. We will come back again .
We chose Copperleaf after reading on line reviews and getting verification from our airport schuttle driver. He had just dropped off other guests. We enjoyed the evening prior to our overseas trip so much we stopped by again on our return! Excellent way to begi and end an adventure! Quiet, fantastic local flavors and top of the line service. Do not miss this one.
My daughters duck breast was over cooked. Told it would take too long to redo so they offered a desert instead. She was not given an option to have it remade. The service was very slow.
Special place just a bit pricey
Copper Leaf is always good, but getting too expensive. Portion size is ridiculous for the price. Copper Let makes the portion size in an upscale French restaurant look huge!
Ambiance is nice, service was far from attentive, Easter dinner was not crowded so most level was low. But nearly everything on the menu is quite preciously priced.
Easter brunch. Just ok. Very messy stations. Didn’t feel like a $70 buffet
My husband and I went here for the first time for Easter Brunch (April 2018). The buffet was bountiful, the food was delicious, the room was beautiful and our server, Charlie, was outstanding. Charlie is a true gem, an authentic person and a top-notch server. After we ordered two tomato juices, Charlie went out of his way to find us when he found out it was V8 juice. That might not seem like a big deal to some diners, but it was to us!
Our shout-outs on the buffet items: salmon, asparagus salad, pea salad, Caesar salad, eggplant parmesan, carrots, ice cream and the macaroons.
The main room where the fireplace is so warm, cozy and inviting.
We will be back!
Had a lovely Easter brunch here. Could improve on a few things, like seafood forks would have been nice for the crab legs. The ice cream bar was great but messy, maybe find a better way to keep the ice cream colder so it doesn't get soupy. All the lamb dishes were cooked to well done, so disappointed in that and the cooked salmon was not fresh tasting. On the other hand the salads, prime rib and shellfish were all fabulous.
Overall we had a nice experience at Copperleaf. The food was good and the service was great!
Worth the trip to a small forest nestled in SeaTac. Very comfortable lodge-themed dining room. Great food.
Some of the best food we have ever had. Every dish was WOW! House wine excellent. Service was stellar. We had a broad sampling of dishes, each was unique, with tons of detail and tasty bits. Just WOW!
We will be back!
This was perfect in every way - a totally relaxing atmosphere.
The dinner was delicious, the steak was so tender and flavorful.the service was outstanding, our server was Lindsay and she was very helpful with gluten free choices and other menu questions.we will be back for more great food in the near future.
Our dinner at Copperleaf was absolutely fantastic! The food was amazing! The menu is changed every six months, but if you go soon, definitely try the Sable Fish and their take on Chicken and Dumplings. The service is really terrific there, too. Lauren and Lindsey are wonderful. They will help you make your dining experience exactly that...an experience!
Great spot for business lunches and dinners before taking off at Seatac!
Gorgeous setting! My Olympia-based family had no idea there was such a beautiful hotel with an outstanding restaurant so close to Sea-Tac Airport.
Highly inventive locavore food. We were dazzled repeatedly by the various offerings. The mixologist did a great job with the cocktail, Hot Date. The wine recommended by our attentive server was delicious and paired well with the food. We will be back!
Lovely..the chef plans every dish to delight both in presentation and preparation. It was perfect from start to finish. Our server was knowledgeable and presented the details of each dish in a way that was almost as delightful as the actual meal. I would highly recommend for a special romantic occasion or any really special event.
I cannot remember our servers name, I think it was Lindsay. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant is very elegant and though their menu is limited, our food was delicious. They focus on having fresh food available, from farm to dish, reducing your carbon footprint in the process. Everything was flavorful and delicious. I had the “chicken and dumplings” and my husband had the steak. Though the beautiful presentation appeared to be little food, they pack their meals with protein and fiber so you are satisfied at the end of the meal both your hunger and taste buds.
This location is lovely, and for the southend, one of the better restaurants. That being said, there was room for improvement. One of our party ordered a dish with rabbit in an artichoke cream sauce with mushrooms. Honest to gosh, there was about two very little pieces of rabbit, and a rabbit rib cage. I am fine with very small portions, prepared beautifully, but this was two bites. The mushrooms measured about a cup, so the porportion was all off. One of us ordered a small plate option of crab ravioli, and it was twice as much food. I ordered a vegetable entree, buternut squash with lentils and it was good. Several things on the menu were not available, even though the menu appeared to be a reflection of the market, so maybe some poor ordering or unexpected number of guests. So , in general, terribly hard to figure out what you are getting. Prices might be a little high for the southend clients, but compared to Seattle or eastside they were inline, if the portions matched up. The desserts were lovely and enough to share. Service was good. Cocktails were creative and well balanced. This would be a very nice couples get away.
Excellent food and service, wonderful ambience. The chef sent out samples as extras to our meals, which were wonderful (and no cost!)
It’s was my girlfriend’s 40th birthday and we loved everything. Piper was a fantastic server. We loved her and her recommendations were right on target. We’ll visit again if we can !!
Wonderful dinner for foodies. Inspired mixed drinks. We would definitely eat here again. Highlight of the meal for our group of three was the Amuse Bouche and the starters. My main course, the duck mole, was undercooked and chewy, so I’d recommend another entree. Skip the desserts, they were a miss, but have another drink.
Nice ambiance for a business meeting
Great atmosphere if you haven’t been to this place it’s a must try once! The food is outstanding, the service not so much but it was ok.
Trying to be a little too fancy and too expensive. Food was OK at best
Out of about 10 visits, 9 have been exceptional in all regards. One visit was not, due to inattentive service.
I have returned to dine since that occasion, the wait staff were excellent, and the food, service and ambiance were up to the impressive standard I expect at this restaurant. Our request to be seated by the fireplace was happily accommodated. It is very cozy there on a cold, grey day. I will continue to bring my friends and family here.
The only thing that kept this from being perfect was the noise wafting down from the event going on upstairs and the draft from people coming in the courtyard door. Food is always exquisite, and though I'm not a dessert fan, the passionfruit desserts
I have been to some very nice restaurants in my years, but the Copper Leaf Restaurant presented the most interesting and delicious food I have ever experienced. Find dining at its best.
We had a lovely late Valentine’s Day
dinner. The chef tasting menu was unique and delicious. Our only complaint is that we wished the proportions were a bit larger because it tasted so good.
Phenomenal service - creative chef!
We were seated at a small white table by the window. Not as comfortable as the regular tables and a bit chilly. We had requested Pipers section but did not get it.
The food and service were spectacular. It was definitely a lot more than we typically spend for a night out, but the quality was phenomenal and our waitress, Piper, provided excellent service. We will be back for sure!
The evening began by being seated on arrival, even though we were a bit early. Each course was explained both for the ingredients and the wine being served. The parings were perfect. It is difficult to say which course stood out, because all had their best qualities. I had the scallops which I thoroughly enjoyed. They were perfectly cooked. My wife had the steak, which was tasty and tender.
We will definitely put Cedarbrook on our agenda for another special occasion.
We had a very special meal, celebrating Valentine's Day a few days early. The food is organic and much sourced locally. The presentation was very appealing. The chef knows how to combine flavors and ingredients to make a wonderful meal. The staff are attentive but not hovering. The ambiance of quiet and cozy added to a very special evening.
Note that the small plates are very small. Good food but I left hungry.
Delicious dinner, great feel, and excellent service! Thanks to Charlie for helping make our evening special!!
