Out of about 10 visits, 9 have been exceptional in all regards. One visit was not, due to inattentive service.
I have returned to dine since that occasion, the wait staff were excellent, and the food, service and ambiance were up to the impressive standard I expect at this restaurant. Our request to be seated by the fireplace was happily accommodated. It is very cozy there on a cold, grey day. I will continue to bring my friends and family here.

The only thing that kept this from being perfect was the noise wafting down from the event going on upstairs and the draft from people coming in the courtyard door. Food is always exquisite, and though I'm not a dessert fan, the passionfruit desserts

I have been to some very nice restaurants in my years, but the Copper Leaf Restaurant presented the most interesting and delicious food I have ever experienced. Find dining at its best.

We had a lovely late Valentine’s Day
dinner. The chef tasting menu was unique and delicious. Our only complaint is that we wished the proportions were a bit larger because it tasted so good.

We were seated at a small white table by the window. Not as comfortable as the regular tables and a bit chilly. We had requested Pipers section but did not get it.

The food and service were spectacular. It was definitely a lot more than we typically spend for a night out, but the quality was phenomenal and our waitress, Piper, provided excellent service. We will be back for sure!

The evening began by being seated on arrival, even though we were a bit early. Each course was explained both for the ingredients and the wine being served. The parings were perfect. It is difficult to say which course stood out, because all had their best qualities. I had the scallops which I thoroughly enjoyed. They were perfectly cooked. My wife had the steak, which was tasty and tender.

We will definitely put Cedarbrook on our agenda for another special occasion.

We had a very special meal, celebrating Valentine's Day a few days early. The food is organic and much sourced locally. The presentation was very appealing. The chef knows how to combine flavors and ingredients to make a wonderful meal. The staff are attentive but not hovering. The ambiance of quiet and cozy added to a very special evening.

Dining area is small and cozy with a fireplace and windows. The food is excellent and not exorbitantly expensive as in most comparable restaurants. They even add free amuse bouche and dessert bites. Excellent wines, even offered by the glass. Waiters are very competent and respectful. Worth the drive from Seattle.

This is such an oasis of great food and ambiance that you can scarcely believe you are in Sea-Tac. The food presentation, Glassy Babies on the tables, live jazz, and salt scrub in the restrooms are just a few of the details that add to the experience. A gem in the southend!

New Years Eve special dining - I was underwhelmed with the choices the chef made throughout the multi-course meal. Fois Gras (sp?) outstanding, cheesecake too heavy to follow its rich predecessors. Tables too close together, no privacy. BUT, will definitely go again, as this is a very special place.

I enjoyed Copperleaf's special menu for New Year's Eve. It was my first time designing at Copperleaf and my only regret is that I hadn't tried them sooner considering how close they are to where I live. My server Piper was wonderful and she was able to collaborate with the kitchen to accommodate my dietary restriction and still enjoy most of the set menu. The substitutions were well chosen.

I should also note that the couple dinning at the table next to me loves the food Copperleaf so much that they came in from out of state just for the event menu.

Quality, local ingredients. Incredible taste, even on the most basic salad. Wait staff not as knowledgeable about dietary restrictions as they could have been.

The idea of a fine dining experience is what I think the Cooperleaf is aiming for, but they are missing the mark. Some fine tuning would make the difference, I hope.

5 course meals with wine pairings should be exceptional.. This was not. My mother has an allergy and needed some special dishes prepared which they did prepare. This however meant that we waited 45 minutes before we had anything but water served to us. Not good. Then when the dinner was served, it was rote pre-prepared dishes delivered with an effort to mimic a fine dining experience, however the delivery of contents that were clearly not made fresh could not be overcome with an effort to mimic a high-end NYC restaurant. The food wasn't amazing, The waitress was not well trained to deliver a fine dining experience. She was not knowledgable of the menu or the wines. She looked and seemed frazzled while trying to be a little amusing and hospitable. I question the management of the dining room for this kind of presentation being allowed. With this and the food and pairings being so-so the experience wasn't worth the price.

Here's the best news--The lodge atmosphere was lovely, the live piano music, fire in the fireplace and decorations were a great pleasure, just what I was looking for for Christmas Day. We were able to carry on an intimate conversation which was a real joy.

Now lets make the service experience and food match the lovely setting and ambiance.

It would have been nice to know that the Holiday menu wasn't available until dinner. We had made our reservations for early afternoon hoping for an early dinner - but we got their regular lunch menu. We were... disappointed.

I have really enjoyed every experience I have had at the Copperleaf on previous occasions. It's a gorgeous setting with great food! My only less than great experience was this last visit; I brought my coworker to lunch for the holidays on Dec 22nd, and was pretty disappointed by the lack luster, somewhat inattentive and disinterested service that our waitress provided. I felt like she obviously had better things to do. In a way I hate to say anything because she may have been going through a rough time, but it did put a bit of a damper on a festive lunch at a restaurant I love!

While the restaurant is in a lovely setting, the food is disappointing. I loved the add on Prawns to my otherwise wilted Caesar Salad with large cuts of romaine that were difficult to cut in a bowl. It was flavorless. I finally gave up.

The menu for lunch seemed limited and more of a "bar & grill" menu which surprised me for such an elegant setting.

Dinner for four on Saturday night. Every dish from the starters to desserts was perfectly prepared. The servers were attentive. Each dish was throroughly described as it was served. You feel like you're a personal guest of the chef. I had the venison. It was tender, lean,, and seasoned deliciously. Others had sea bass and chicken and dumplings. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. This was truly one of our top dining experiences.

Beautiful bar and restaurant with service to match! The amuse bouche treats are such a nice touch. Duck, delicious. "Chicken and Dumplings", delicious. Save room for dessert and be patient waiting for the souffle.

Let's start with the basics. This is a lovely venue, very close to the Seattle (SEA) Airport. It was a conference center that became a hotel. The Copperleaf Restaurant is a fairly new addition to their rebranded property and has achieved a good reputation in the time open. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, sort of a lodge-type feel. They have chosen a unique layout for the restaurant by putting it in the center of what one would think of as the hotel lobby. There is a full restaurant that goes unused off this area, so am unsure why this makes sense, but it was fine. Service in both the bar and restaurant was excellent and the servers fun and knowledgable. I was with two relatives who love good food. The menu showcased two choices for a tasting menu. I decided to splurge and got the more expensive one, paired with wine. It was, I believe, $130 pp. Now, I've traveled all over the world and have had tasting menus galore. For this price, I was sure it would be exceptional. Honestly, I was deeply disappointed. The items presented were tasty and pretty. But the portions were ridiculously small and there just never seemed to be anything substantial. The bill arrived. $429 for three people. With tip, a whopping $500. Now, for three people, paying that amount should have been a spectacular culinary moment in time. Instead, I felt completely ripped off and wished I had taken them to other options where we would have had an outstanding meal with wine for half that price. Needless to say, I won't go back. Those are the sort of financial wounds you don't forget easily.

Enjoyed a lovely birthday lunch with an old friend. Service was attentive but not overly so. food was tasty, presentation was also good. We shared a table on the edge of the room with lovely, serene views. We were encouraged to split orders that would have been too large for either of us. Altogether wonderful!

We have been here a few times and have always enjoyed it. However, this time my husband
had a New York steak and it was filled with gristle, a lot of it not even edible. He should have sent it back, especially for the price, but he didn't. I had the sea bass and it was OK, but not the meaty kind of sea bass that it usually is. We had great drinks in the bar before dinner and the service in the bar and restaurant was good and attentive.
