Tasting menus were seasonally accurate and perfect for a mid-winter meal. Our server Piper was the highlight of the meal though. She was immensely knowledgeable about all aspects of the service, especially the wine. We were in town for a chefs conference and so glad we found this gem!

This was our second time at CL, the first was a little over a year ago. We both had tasting menus with pairings. The food was interesting and good but not as amazing as last time. The wines we had were more great than not, but two were weak and watery. Seating is too close together, so we could easily hear other complete conversations. Our table was too wide to be able to hear my companion without speaking so loudly that our neighbors would be bothered. Server was nice and knew basic details about the wines. For $300+ tip, I'd expect better tasting notes. It'd be cool if we were presented with a simple list of what we drank. Server left wine glasses longer than I'd like - simple question of "may I remove your glass?" would make the table less cluttered with glasses during a tasting with pairings. Food was good but the overall theme was smoky -- overpowering. The restaurant is beautiful, contemporary and classic Northwest at the same time, and very comfortable. Thank you.

This was and always has been my favorite restaurant over the last five years. It’s an experience not just a place to eat. Everything from the quality of the food to the ambience to the service is all very delightful. I was suggest not only for special occasions but for those times when you just deserve to be treated right. Thank you for the enjoyable afternoon and evening

Copperleaf is without a doubt the star of the restaurant scene south of the city. Amazing cuisine, a great bar/wine list, all in a beautiful setting that doesn't feel like it is convenient to SeaTac airport. The tasting menus are constantly adjusted to reflect the seasonal ingredients.

Excellent food but one entre was cold. It likely was forgotten and sat in the kitchen for five to ten minutes before it was served. The dish was not sent back because the other guests in our party had nearly finished their dinners and were ready to leave.

This is a local hidden gem. It is rare to find restaurant of this caliber on the South end of Seattle. Service is slow –casual yet polite (i.e. the sort of place you have to ask for your tab). I especially love bringing friends here for the first time because it is always a nice experience. Food is great (can be exceptional). On this visit we just came for their homemade donut(s), espresso and coffee.

A hidden gem! Copperleaf Restaurant surprises with amazing, creative, delicious food. The concept is for prixe fixe menus but every item can be ordered ala carte to mix and match to your desires. We ordered different items from several of the themed tasting menus, all delicious. One note though, ask about the dishes and size, I ended up ordering three appetizer items, most of which were cold items (all delicious). Had I realized that, though I probably would have something different and warm for my main but that was solely a preference, everything was wonderful. The pacing of the meal is unrushed, so be prepared for a relaxed evening of conversation with your party. My only reason I did not rate the service higher is that the front desk almost confused about seating us for our reservation and did not seat us until the reservation time was passed.

Have dined there many time being captivated by the menu of dishes I would never make at home, most likely. This time I dined with a knowledgable person with culinary background. Very hit or miss. The tongue was weakly seasoned and salad overpowered all of its nuances. The octopus was perfection. The rabbit with pasta was disappointing. One small chicken finger sized piece of grilled rabbit that was, well, like a chicken finger! The broth was lovely but for the price it was a major miss. My seafood dish was bland. Mussels contained a pea sized mussel. The crab was tough. Fish was just ok. The best part of the meal was the dessert. The tapioca and sorbet with passion fruit divine. All in all a pretentious dinner with costly few highlights.

What a pleasant surprise this was. This is a truly excellent restaurant. We shared a variety of appetizers before moving on to a main course and everything we ordered was superb!

This place used to be a favorite of ours. They used to go out of their way to ensure the service was excellent. The past few times the services was not the best and when you’re having a tasting menu timing is everything. The food was great but often sat for a while waiting for no real reason and the server seemed like we were putting him out.

This was the first time my partner and I experienced such a gourmet dining experience. Isaiah was a wonderful server with helpful insights on the menu and restaurant itself. I would 10/10 recommend the Copperleaf Restaurant to anyone looking for a fine dining experience. There is not a single thing I would have changed.

Our waitress Tanya was spectacular! She walked us through each course of our meal and was incredibly personable. We were so engaged that we hardly even noticed the time passing while we dined.

My husband and I wanted to take out our friends for dinner. I had been at Cedarbrook Lodge for some conferences and enjoyed the food served at those events. Our service was variable. For example, our server was friendly and helpful with the menu. However, when we had some questions about some dishes they said they would go back and ask in the kitchen and we waited for answers (while also waiting awhile for our drinks), but they had to be reminded to go back and ask the kitchen. Similarly we were given different answers about an item on the lunch menu: First the answer was no we couldn't have the item and then later we were told that we could the item. Also, at one point when we asked for some silverware when food was served since some had been cleared away, the server took awhile to return (while we observed them standing and having a conversation with other staff).

The server asked about the timing of having various courses delivered and it appears they held back our main entrees too long, since when they arrived they were barely warm. The dishes were otherwise delicious and we could tell that had they been served at the right temperature, they would have been considerably more enjoyable. Also, one of the dishes didn't have a particular ingredient that was claimed to be included (during our long awaited Q/A process).

We didn't complain about the food temperature since we didn't want to have to make a big fuss in front of our friends and also didn't want to deal with sending our food back. I would have overlooked all the other service issues but when the total cost of your meal is same price as a something like a Dyson vacuum cleaner, my husband and I left disappointed about our meal experience. I know my friends didn't say anything since they were being gracious guests, but their food wasn't warm either.

To note: We did appreciate a staff person approaching our table about the missing ingredient in the one dish, and they removed that from our total bill.

Excellent experience, as always, I’m just a little uncomfortable as to how to close the tables are to each other. When it’s just the two of us, I feel almost as though I’m dining with the people at the table next to me. I don’t really like that. Otherwise, always a wonderful experience.

The food is over thought. Fancy for fancy's sake. The salad was bland and so was the pork belly that was served with it. The other dishes were good, but not 4 stars good. We were relegated to a fixed menu for Christmas day, so the entree I had hoped for was not available. The service was adequate but a little slow. Definetely not a great fine dining experience.

This was a wonderful location in the Southend for a pleasant meal with family. Outstanding wine list and a knowledgeable sommelier, who was most helpful. The clam chowder & the agnolotti were favorite starters & the short rib won the blue ribbon at our table.

We had a 6:30 pm reservation and were not seated until 7:30 pm. The food, overall, was very good; with the exception of the chicken and dumpling. The dumpling had the texture of cardboard; no flavor and tough. We did not get the bill until 10:00 pm...due to poor timing between courses. Also, we opted for the pairing of wine...all lovely wines...however, the wines were served without any explanation as to how they were selected. The server was nice enough, but seemed to be on a race track with lots of time between. We would sit for 20-25 minutes with finished plates. Finally, the perceived value was very low...we expected that for over $500 for the four of us that the Copperleaf restaurant manager would have planned better. Overall, the experience was a disappointment.

Another delightful dinner at the Copperleaf! Two of us shared the Butternut Squash Risotto appetizer, then each of us had the filet mignon with a wonderful bottle of cabernet. Both of us loved the food and wine. The ambiance and the service were both very, very nice. We are local people who stay at the hotel a few times a year to enjoy this restaurant and the spa services for a weekend getaway. We will return!

We marked this stay and dinner as the beginning of our 3 months of travel. It was a mini celebration. A great dinner. I had the vegetarian tasting menu and my husband had the king salmon. All delicious as was there wine.
