Copperfield Inn Ratings and Reviews
We have eaten here a few times and have always had a good meal. I had a Mai mai that was listed as blackened but I did not want it and they accommodated my request. It came out cooked just right and with a very nice sauce. The only slight negative was that our server could gain a little personality. He was efficient but zero personality.
Waiter was horrible!! I went with 3 of my friends and upon asking for separate checks he literally ripped the checkbook out of my friend’s hands and stormed off and couldn’t even say good-bye or make eye contact with any of us as we were leaving. Also, if you get a salad make sure to ask for dressing on the side.. mine was loaded with oil and gave me a bad stomachache after.
Cold food.Lackluster service. Food came out at room temperature and then sat behind us! French Onion Soup is priced high at $7 and was for some reason sitting at a table behind us for several minutes. We saw it there. When finally delivered it was cold, cheese had hardened and croutons were soggy. Same with entrees. Two veal parmesan, room temperature meals. I believe this is the same waitress whom we had a similar experience with last time. Stay away from her.
I used to get the crepes every time I came, but the last time they were not crepes they were spring rolls. Definitely not as good as the they were before. Also the spice on one of the dishes I had before changed. It went from not being spicy at all to being to spicy so I stopped getting it. Otherwise it was good. Our server was excellent.
We were celebrating a birthday with family. It was a Monday night and only two servers were on duty and both were overwhelmed. It took over 15 minutes from when we were seated to order drinks and, before the drinks were delivered, we were asked what we wanted for dinner! The birthday girl (my wife) ordered the risotto with scallops. The risotto she received was not what was described on the menu i.e. no spinach, no cheese, not sure what it was. Our reservation was 7 p.m. and dinner was delivered at 8:45! Very disappointing.
We don’t often go out to dinner on a Saturday evening because most good restaurants are very busy. The help is usually hurried and stressed and the kitchen is over worked and you can’t enjoy the experience. We generally go out to dine on Thursday and Friday evenings. (And that was our plan for Saturday October 21st.)
However, at about 5:45 PM we decided to break our “Saturday Rule” and venture out. We like the Copperfield Inn so I used Open-Table and reserved a table for 6:45. We were seated promptly. Kathy (a very pleasant and experienced waitress) was our server and as usual, Kathy did a terrific job.
All in all a very good meal and an a most enjoyable evening.

Had dinner with friends from out of town that I hadn't seen in almost 20 years. Food was fabulous, my guests really enjoyed their meal, the house wine was exceptional and the service was exceptional! This was my friends first visit and my 20+ visit. Always a Pleasant Experience.
Our server, whose name I can't recall now, was outstanding! He was very attentive, pleasant, and yet professional. We was good humored about our joking with him. Our meals were delicious and well presented. It was a busy evening, so the dining room was full and the noise level a bit high, but the tables were spaced enough so that it wasn't uncomfortable. All staff were welcoming. The ambience is lovely! Will return often!
First, without coasters, our water with ice made the table so wet my wife had to use her napkin to dry her arms. And the table.
My French onion soup was poor. The croutons were soggy and the mozzarella was impossible to separate. It was one chunk of cheese; I gave up trying to eat it. Has anyone ever made chicken picatta with potatoes? No, it always pasta. My wife’s risotto was gummy/overcooked and sweet. Sweet? It had scallops. My wife set it aside. I thought about desert but my waitress only came around rarely. I didn’t want to wait. Besides, $8 for one piece of cake. I will go to Wegman’s and buy the entire cake – for less.
I liked the singer/guitarist and tole him so.
We will never go back.
