Great value. We had small plates. Ribs were very good. Beer selection was excellent
Nice staff. We were looking for small plates and they had them. Excellent cake balls for dessert.
I absolutely enjoyed going to Copper Resturant, and would recommend it to everyone. My only complaint, which is definitely not the restaurants fault, there were two VERY loud parties. One sat right behind myself, and the other was in the other side of the restaurant. But all around the experience was very enjoyable. Our server was great with recommendations, and able to answer any questions we had. Food-delicious. The atmosphere was great, decor- on point. I was unable to try the dessert (was way too full). But will definitely be going back.
Quick seating for my friend’s birthday dinner on the patio! Lovely staff, atmosphere and food! I highly recommend
The Manager working the hostess stand wasn’t that pleasant, very stressed & not friendly to other guests either. But the food, drinks & cake balls made up for that & our darling waitress! I love this brunch spot! My avocado toast was awesome & I LOVE the white peach mimosas!!!!!!
I always enjoy my time at Copper. They have really amazing specials, so you can get a good amount of delicious food and drinks at an affordable rate. I have had the brussels, biscuits, fried chicken, soup, grilled cheese, and cheese balls and all of it was tasty. I am not a huge fan of their cake balls, though. The place is small so it is not always good for big groups.
Great service and food
Excellent cocktails and snacks for happy hour! Desserts were delicious as well. Service was quick and everyone on the waitstaff was super nice, professional, and have great recommendations.
Awesome food and service from Holly. Suggestion. Maybe have light music. Kind of noisey and replace tables because very wobbly and you could see they were using coasters and folded up aprons to balance them.
I wouldn’t know if I can recommend the food considering we were never seated. They had our reservation written for the wrong time (5pm instead of 5:30). Basically told us they could only hold our seats for 15 mins even though we were scheduled at 5:30 and got to the restaurant 5-10 mins before our reservation. We weren’t given any other options or offered to be seated ASAP or given any timeframe to come back. All we got was “Someone may have written the time wrong. Sorry.”
This may be our new favorite date night spot. Such a gem AND in North Austin. The ambiance is so austin-chic and the servers are kind, knowledgeable and helpful. The menu is unique and the food was absolutely mind-blowing! The champagne flight and brussel sprouts were a favorite, and love the dessert options, as well. Especially the cinnamon rolls bread pudding. The service was a little but slow at points, but otherwise, we had a great night and can’t wait to come back for brunch.
The location is a little tricky to find via map apps, which took us to the back of the building. I’d recommend some signage on that side of the walk way to indicate it’s taken you to the right spot. It’s definitely worth hunting it down.
Terrific Happy Hour offerings!
Great girls’ brunch spot!
Monday night dates are the best! Happy hour extended all evening including starters and shared plates. Service was good, food tasted great. Cake Balls are wonderful but definitely overpriced because of the fancy tin they come in. I could do without the tin that I threw away and take the cake in a box instead to save on price. Otherwise, great experience.
I loved the mix your own mimosas with fresh juices and the copper house coffee. They were perfect for brunch. I had the honey dipped fried chicken with jalapeño gravy and biscuit. It was delicious, I wish I had a bigger stomach just to finish it all. The only thing I suggest is that they get more hot sauce options, siracha does not count as hot sauce it counts as spicy ketchup. The only picture I took was of the brunch drinks because they were my fave. I would come back for a drink anytime.
We attended this for dinner on December 31st. I called the week before to confirm their happy hour was happening as was told yes. Yet to my disappointment when we arrived they were only offering the 3 course meal for $39/person. I love copper but was disappointed I was given incorrect information and from first call the person I spoke to had no idea a 3 course meal was being offered.
My passed experience in restaurants on new years eve has not been great, but copper did a pretty good job. It is a small restaurant and it took a little longer to sit us even though we had a reservation and got there early. Other than that, the food was excellent, came out hot and fast, and the server was great. We will be back!
Copper has a nice cozy yet upscale ambiance. It doesn’t have a lot of room for large groups. The staff were friendly. The bartender needs some training. They made a frozen margarita which was horrible and served it with a straw that you couldn’t even drink it out of. I asked for a different straw and the brought me one out that was twice the side of the glass. I also had to go to the bar during happy hour to get another drink because the waitress wasn’t coming around all too often. The staff were nice and friendly but the service wasn’t that great.
The food here is wonderful. I have never been disappointed by anything that I’ve orsered. The drinks are not only tasty but beautiful too!
I love their apps to unique dinner options! But I go there for the French 75 drink and their wonderful cake balls!!
Fried Chicken with biscuits and gravy was amazing, as was the coffee - sourced from Cuvee!
Went to copper for a double date, our service was terrible, we waited over and hour just for our cocktails and then another 45 mins for the shareable plates we ordered at the same time. It work over 2 hours to get all of our food. When we ordered another round of drinks they too took forever.
My flight of wine was forgotten until I asked for it twice, which when I finally did get it, I got three random glasses of wine placed in front of me. No order, was not told which wine was what it any information.
We were still hungry after our shareable plates but did not order anything else as we would have to wait another hours but by the time we got our check it was so late to go anywhere else. It was such a disappointment
Service was quote poor for a Tuesday night. There were plenty of open tables and numerous appetizers were forgotten. Drink service was lengthy as well. Felt like we were neglected as a big party (10 people), where smaller tables seemed to have slow but better service than us.
All day Tuesday happy hour was a plus on the drink and appetizer specials. Food tasted good.
Love copper great food at great price. Be sure and check them out for yourself.
The food was below average and drinks were watered down to the point I don't think there was alcohol in it
I met a friend for drinks and dessert and it was delicious! We ordered dessert first, THEN dinner. :)
I love this place. I have never been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered.
Went in for a bachelorette party with reservation at 8 and there was not many people in the restaurant when we arrived the last person to arrive in my party ordered a drink and it took over 15 minutes for it to arrive we ordered food that was mediocre at best and the truffle aoele fries were horrible they didnt event taste like fries or garlic. Then at the end of the night someone else tried to order a drink and she was basically ignored. Everyone was given the wrong ticket and he couldn't even be bothered to try and pass the tickets back out after we paid.
I visited this past weekend for the first time and it was great. The service was awesome and the chicken and biscuits were just PERFECT. I actually hated the cobbler (which the server recommended- maybe it was a bad batch??) but the make-your-own-mimosas were genius and delicious! I will definitely be back!!
Although short list of food options, everything we ate was excellant.
Servers were very welcoming and friendly. We had a great time catching up with our friend there while eating great food. The chef came out to our table and chat with us. His recommendations were great! We will definitely go back again when we visit Austin.
In a nutshell, the service was poor and the food was under seasoned or just not made well. The server spent most of her time chatting with other employees and did not bring the drinks out at the right time and took way too long to bring the cheque or the to go box. The appetizer was bland and the Shepherds pie was a soup. You would think either the chef or server would have noticed that the dish was too liquidy. Despite tasty cake balls, this was not a good choice for a dinner out.
Awesome little spot tucked away in the Domain! Great food, great service and Austin Cakes Balls to boot!
Really outstanding food. Our server was friendly and thoughtful re suggestions.
We went originally for the Austin restaurant week menu but as it was Happy Hour pricing decided to order off the regular menu. The new cocktail menu and small plates; goat cheese balls and crab shrimp tower were excellent. After ordering ribs, which I was really psyched to try with trash fries until being told they were out of those and hamburgers. This was at 5:30. So I had the buttermilk fried chicken, which was fairly one note and texture. I was not impressed. My wife the blackened redfish which was neither spicy or lemony, fairly non descript flavor wise. I had much higher hopes for our date night.
We went to Copper Restaurant as one of our picks for Restaurant Week. The server mentioned it was only her 8th shift as a server, so we weren't expecting fantastic service. And we weren't disappointed. And the music was too loud for any real conversation. But what it lacked in atmosphere, it made up for in food.
The Blackened Red Fish is AMAZING!!! I would go back there just for that dish, but the each appetizer, entree, and dessert we had were worth it.
If you make a reservation, and weather permits, sit outside. I suspect the energy will be less frenetic and the sound much more reasonable.
Super impressed. I didn't even know they served food - only aware of their amazing desserts. We found them listed on Austin Restaurants Week and couldn't be happier with our choice. Small restaurant - service was amazing. Our reserved table was waiting with our name and the waiter was very accommodating. Food was prepared very well and everything we ordered was to our satisfaction. Happy there were four of us so we had lots of things to sample. ( Various appetizers, Shrimp and Grits/ Steak / Fish - all very nicely done!! ) Can't wait for our next visit. I am a Crème Brulee snob. Would have rather had something other than expresso flavor but the texture and consistency were so amazing I ate the entire dish. Even top end fine dining restaurants can sometimes miss the mark on this classic dessert but Copper hit a HOME RUN in my book!!
Service needs work. Hostess was pretty much clueless. Waiter seemed very confused.
