About
Our wine list will be modest in size and primarily focused on wines from California, France, New Zealand and Argentina. . We will also feature a moderate international beer selection on tap and in bottles.
Great job, staff are very nice and the Tandoori Chicken is a home run
Great food and service. Wine was underwhelming. Don't order red wine. Not good!
They were out of the Drinks that we ordered, the portion size was so small (Drinks and Food). We couldn't order so many items from the menu as their Chef was not out. The food quality and taste was not something special and we would not recommend this to a friend and will not come back to this restaurant, considering so many other better options. No value for money, horrible experience!
It was fine. I've been here before for lunch. And it was okay. I'm kind of not in a good mood right now, so it's difficult to know.
This was our second experience here and we won’t be back. The food was mediocre, the Indian rice pudding was inedible. The naan was decent and the rice was plentiful.
The food was excellent. Their dishes had a unique taste. Great service.
very poor service - food was mediocre at best. will not return, very disappointed.
Simply great Indian food, well worth a visit, everything was delicious.
Really wonderful flavors!
The food was delicious, and they accommodated our need to leave in time for our event at Target Center. They even offered to keep our leftovers properly stored if we wanted to stop back after the show. The sad thing is there was only one other table occupied - and we were there from about 6-7:15 in a Saturday evening. Great food, service, and value - why aren’t more people going there?
We had the best time! It was our first time there and the server offered to bring us a selection of items to try. What a great experience! We will be back and will try the lunch buffet...so many fabulous flavors!
One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to. Located downtown with access to the light rail and many activities
Wonderful food and friendly prompt service. They have a nice menu selection and some delicious signature cocktails. Can't wait to go again!
This may well be the best Indian food in town, with a number of out-of-the-ordinary dishes to complement the usual tikka masala and butter chicken. However, on our most recent visit on a Saturday, they were crowded (not a bad thing in and of itself) and not staffed to handle the crowd. With only two people to handle the dining room things got very slow. We had made a 6:30 reservation to have plenty of time to catch an 8:00 show across the street and wound up just barely making it.
Fun place, bit small, really good drinks.
An excellent choice for Indian food before any of the Hennepin theaters and shows. Good food at reasonable prices. Great service.
First, I was accosted coming in when I had a reservation. I was going to the bathroom and the owner jumped me. He apologized after I stewed in my juices for a half hour. The drinks were mixed up and the food was weird. Don't waste your time. The noise at the Pour House at 9pm was unbearable.
The server recommended awesome dishes. Everything was delicious and authentic! Loved it!
This was our first experience at the Copper Pot. The service and food was excellent. Very interesting drinks.
The food was good with recommendations from staff when requested. Would definitely eat here again. Hopefully they aren’t out of goat next time.
We ate at the Copper Pot on the way to a concert at Target Field. The service was friendly and attentive. The appetizer samosas were spicy and just the right texture. My vegetable biryani was delicious, but I would have liked more vegetables in it. The other diners at the table were delighted with their entrees. We will be back. Their cocktails were unusual and very good.
We enjoyed a delicious meal of tikka chicken masala and lamb biryani before a concert at Target Field. The naan was outstanding! The restaurant is an easy walk to this venue.
I really enjoyed the raisins and nuts naan, and the food we had was really good.
Went to Copper Pot to celebrate a birthday. Had mentioned that in the booking, but nobody seemed to know anything about it, at least they never mentioned it.
Buffet was good, but not great. Food had just the right amount of spice though. Much better than "Minnesota spicy".
The entrees the other had were good, but again not great.
Although I would return here, it would only be if I was in the neighborhood. I would not make a special trip.
Wonderful food and great service. Good pricing as well
Great food
Very attentive staff and excellent food.
If you like Indian food the Copper Pot in Minneapolis Theatre district should be your go-to place. We like spicy, which is hard to achieve without losing flavor. The food we had was spicy and with lots of flavors. I highly recommend the Kebab platter, a little bit of every kebab. It was very good. We also enjoyed the restaurant Mom's recipe. I don't remember the actual name, but it is tasty. They were also very accommodating with our children. I enjoyed their tumeric cocktails, unusual and delicious. We will be back.
Went before a concert. Service, food and atmosphere was great. After dinner they even packed up our leftovers to be picked up after the concert. That is GOOD service!
If you like South Indian (VERY Spicy hot) food, then this is the place for you.
We sat at the bar. Service was great and good conversation also. Food was wonderful. We will be back!
Wonderful evening! We had dinner after the Brave New Workshop Conedy Show - a quick walk from the restaurant even in freezing weather.
The food was outstanding and the service was just right - attentive but not overwhelming.
We will be back!
Had a tasty, flavorful meal before seeing a show at Cowles Theatre. Thank you!
We have eaten here many times, and neither the food, nor the service, has ever disappointed. Highly recommended.
Told the server a little about what we liked in general and asked him to surprise us. We were not disappointed! Food was delicious. Spice level was right on target. Veggies were cooked to tender perfection. Cauliflower appetizer with saucy batter was fantastic.
Only negatives were;
Lamb was a little too firm, considering that it was a stew.
They forgot about our request to remove an ingredient due to food allergies. But they did whip us a new dish moderately quickly in response.
Delicious! Everything was amazing. Very nice staff and helpful with recommendations. The chicken dosa (Indian crepe) was HUGE and SO good! Highly recommend if you love Indian food or want to try it for the first time.
Excellent dinner. After chatting with the owner, he said he wanted to select and make us three dishes; one meat, I've chicken and one veggie. Everything was delicious! You can select the degree of heat/spiciness. Naan was great too!
Great food choices for restaurant week!
Copper pot has fantastic food, try the niligiri korma-so good! We order takeout a few times a month and had a great time eating here before a show.
Some of the BEST true ethnic Indian food I've ever had!
