Nice place for a quiet meal and good conversation. Brussels sprouts were a revelation, best I've ever had by far. Rigatoni was pretty good, and satisfying, creamy etc. But in 5 years I might have forgotten about it. The sprouts, I won't have. Very attentive waitstaff, good recommendations. Would definitely go again.
I was seated at bar. Had the fried avocado salad. It was delicious. Happened to be there when the Chowtown tour was there. Found that narrative interesting.
It was easy to get a table on Saturday morning for brunch. The menu offers a decent amount of options. The food was mostly good. The famous biscuits were delicious as were the breakfast burrito and the egg white frittata. We weren't so impressed with the toast or hashbrowns but those are really secondary anyway. The star of the experience was our server, Juan. He has been working here for almost 11 years and on this block for over 20 years. Talk about a professional!! It just doesn't get any better!
Great food and service. The parking makes it difficult.
The happy hour menu was good - prices were good, but small quantity. Drinks offered for happy hour were specialty 'mules'. I did not particularly like them; however, I was glad to try them at the special 'happy hour' price.
This was my first visit to Copper Fox Gastropub. I had both heard and read positive attributes to the restaurant. While it was St. Patrick’s Day, the venue was initially busy but tapered not long after my party of three was seated. Our order was fairly simply dish-wise. Largely things were positive on the experience. However, our food took an overly abundant time to be delivered. We engaged three servers relative to the status of our food order. Over forty-five minutes after placing our food order, we finally were served food. I will say another server noticed us looking for our server and became an advocate for us (for as much as she could). Likely without her intervention, we would have waited longer. Our foot order was accurate but just warm. Having said that, the second server helped push a partial comp of our bill for which we appreciated. Overall though, I cannot say my experience will bring me back any time soon.
Came here with a friend and sat at a table for 2 next to a chained aluminum curtain. The place was quiet and I got the sense that they haven't been open for very long. Our server was pretty enthusiastic about the menu. We shared a bottle of a nice red (The Prisoner) that my friend was familiar with. We shared the brussel sprouts, after the waiter was really selling it, and I ordered the fish tacos. My friend got the burger with a side of fried avocado salad. For desert we shared the chocolate mousse cake. Everything tasted great and the waiter made us feel extra special by giving us Copper Fox keychains. I would come back.
Loved it here! Brought our 2 sons ages 9 & 13 with us. Everyone was super friendly, great service and excellent food. We can’t wait to go back!
I was overall disappointment in our experience. I found this restaurant so I felt a bit responsible that everyone in our group like it. They had a decent dish but I ordered the fried avocado salad based on the reviews and it was not very good at all. It was overdressed, so sweet and a bizarre combination of ingredients. Hot picked jalapeños, sweet picked beets and tomatoes with sweet dressing. The fried avocados were bland although fried nicely. I ordered a hand crafted cocktail, the “smell the roses” and again it was super sweet and most of the drink was this giant lavender ice ball. The waitress told us the dessert was enough for 4 of us to share but it was tiny. Good thing I ate appetizers before I got to the restaurant because it was kind of a disappointment. The staff was kind but food was really the downfall.
The fox burger is fantastic and so is the salmon. The service was great from beginning to end. Would highly recommend copper fox.
I was looking for brunch downtown for a sizeable group of 10. They sat us in an open, private dining room. It was still morning so the restaurant was not too busy yet. The decor seems upscale but the vibe I would say is more casual. They graciously accommodated the 2 kids in the group and the servers were very attentive. Overall the restaurant is a good value as the food was better than expected for the price. A day earlier we ate breakfast at a really crappy diner nearby and basically paid the same price. So again, really good value for brunch downtown.
Amazing food and ambiance! Love this place and it's cocktails. My steak was perfectly cooked and the biscuits are out of this world! Highly recommend.
Excellent meal and service. I highly recommend!!
Evening started out good with attentive server but they got “hit” early on during our dinner and then we were forgotten. However the food was good, adequate portions and tasty. The manager did excellent with service recovery which makes me want to go back and give them another chance.
We had the Restaurant Week menu, and everything was delicious! We discovered a new place to visit, and will definitely be back.
Excellent experience from beginning to end. Everyone was fantastic and friendly, food was tasty.
Great service and food!
Excellent service, convenient location, very nice ambiance. We had a really nice experience here for a group of 8. Our waitress did a great job and it was quiet enough to have a conversation.
Nice atmosphere. My salmon was okay, not the greatest flavor and was a little dry. Apple pie was great though!
The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly!
Server was very attentive
Wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner!
The ambiance, staff, and food were all excellent! The staff, especially Carrie and Kirby, made the experience like we were dining with family! Not only was the staff amazing but the food was also excellent! I will definitely be back to this location in the near future!
In town on vacation with my husband and six year old. We had dinner at 5.30 and requested a booth which we received. Our son was super thirsty and told the hostess and we had a drink about 1 minute later - big win! They brought out some free fruit for him and brought his entree asap which is what we asked. The whole time our sever was highly attentive and very helpful.
We had the free biscuits (from yelp coupon check in) which were a little too dry for me. Also had the pork belly app (yum!) followed up with a seven layer salad (huge) and flat iron steak (delightful). I sipped several “one flew south” drinks which were a cherry delight. My husband had the pecan old fashioned which he really enjoyed. In all, a great dining experience close to the Mile and they were on it serving our son which is highly appreciated as parents. When restaurants do that, parents can actually enjoy their meal.
We were in town to celebrate Christmas with my niece and nephew . The server was very attentive and friendly as was the person who refilled the water. The head chef came out and checked on our satisfaction of the food.
In town for convention and was trying to find a place within an easy walk from our hotel. Our server, Lindsay, was great at explaining what was in the menu, steering us towards popular items and giving her own favorites. We both had the crispy chicken sandwich, shared a starter of the bisquits (free by checking in on Yelp) and had a local brew. We were there before 6:30 on a Wednesday, so we actually got our entree, beer and a bartender’s choice shot as a combined deal on the happy hour menu for just $18. Probably the best chicken sandwich I have had that I can recall. The “twist” they put on the recipes as a “gastropub” definitely added some flavors that set the items apart. Would definitely go back.
Nice spot for a nice lunch. Reasonable prices. Modern look, not really a "cozy romantic" feel but OK. Mac and Cheese ok but maybe a little bland. Brussel Sprouts were awesome. House Mule with tequila was very good. Great waitress.
We didn't know what to expect, but we were extremely pleased with the tasty food and the value of our meal!!! All around a winner evening!
Mac and cheese was a winner!
Their mussels are phenomenal. The wine was good. Their salmon was quite good and their Nutella dessert as well. I do not recommend the crab and shrimp sandwich, I didn't feel well after eating it.
Food was overcooked and underseasoned today. The waiter was great and accomdating, but for 3 out of the 4 dishes to come out badly was disappointing. The calamari fries were good as usual. The biscuits were dense and almost hard bc they were so overcooked. The crispy chicken sandwich did have any seasoning in the breading and all of the condiments were concentrated in the middle. The steak sandwich was dry - the steak was well done and there wasn't any sauce so biting into it was really dry - disappointing for $17. And the fries seemed like the frozen kind. Been here a few times and never left as disappointed as today..
The noise level was off the charts because there was a very loud and drunk guy at the bar using profanity. The bar tender didn't say a word to him. The food was very god though.
This was my first visit..i was celebrating my birthday alone and felt completely satisfied....my server and host were very attentive and cordial. The food was very good. My server went out of his way to make my exeperience A pleasant one ..I will be back.
I can only speak for Thanksgiving day but the food was awesome and the service was fantastic.
The turkey was some of the best I've ever had as was all of the sides except perhaps the green beans (ordinary). One of the most exceptional experiences was the #16 biscuits. They are sooo good.
Our party of 6 sat in a small private dining room. The food was wonderful and service was excellent. Highly recommend the Brussels Sprouts!
Good food!! Mac and cheese is very good and can smell it when you walk in
My mother was in town for a business trip and we chose this location due to walking distance of her hotel. I'm glad we did. We found a great hidden gem for breakfast/brunch. The pricing was very reasonable, and the food was excellent.
I'd highly recommend this to anyone. The staff were incredibly friendly as well.
Excellent food but but there was 3 little potatoe slices, and 3 pieces of spinach😥not suffiecent for the amount we paid, they could of added more spinach and a small side salad at least
We have dined at the Gastropub several times when staying at the attached Courtyard hotel because of the convenience for my handicapped wife. The food is above average. The service is good. The calamari fries were good, but lacked the flavor and tenderness of calamari rings. The fish tacos were delicious, but contained only tiny pieces of fish. The shrimp and crab roll with rosemary potato chips was also delicious and of ample size for my wife. The wine list has good selections, but be prepared to pay 4-5 times the retail store price for a bottle. The strawberry shortcake disappointed because the biscuits (a stated house specialty) were apparently left over and very dry and tough. The restaurant was quite noisy due to a very active happy hour in the adjoining bar. Will we return? Yes, with a choice of other menu items. Breakfast at this restaurant is always enjoyable.
Loved the ambiance and the food was excellent. Great for business meetings.
