We went for Thanksgiving dinner. I was thinking there would be more choices at the chef’s table and for the overall price, we should have been able to get seconds of the meat choice.

To start the staff was great! Very attentive and nice. The location perfect, as we were walking the Mag mile to see the Christmas lights afterwards.
The food however was a bit disappointing for Thanksgiving. Salads were good and the desserts were nice. Then it fell off a bit with Luke warm soup, and mushy deviled eggs. Main courses, prime rib over cooked, ham over cooked and dry. The turkey was fine all the sides were also Luke warm and the stuffing while it had good flavor it was so mushy.
I’m afraid I wouldn’t go again. At $45 a plate it was really not worth it.

This was my first experience at this restaurant. We were meeting relatives from Germany for the first time and there were 9 of us and we were trying to meet them close to where they were staying. When I called to make sure the reservation went through on open table Eucenia asked if there was a special occasion we were celebrating. I told her why we were coming and that we just wanted to be able to hear each other during our lunch. She seemed excited for us as well. When we got to the restaurant I found they had a table for us in an intimate setting off the floor which made it feel very homey and was the perfect setting for this meeting. We were able to talk easily and get to know each other in a setting that felt like being inside a home. The waitstaff and everyone were very accommodating and didn't make us feel rushed at all. The food was excellent, and we loved the vibe of the restaurant. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone I know. It was a wonderful experience and I can't say thank you enough to the restaurant for making such a wonderful first impression.

Good brunch. We weren’t in a rush thankfully, but the kitchen was moving quite slowly. The brunch mimosas are great. We split a savory and sweet item, the biscuits and gravy dish and the pancakes. Excellent choices if you want a taste of both.

Was not impressed with this restaurant. Risotto was tasteless. The skirt steak was tough. Mac n cheese was good. Not very crowded for a Saturday night which should have told us something.

The restaurant was out of the two things we wanted . Had to settle for something else. Menu is limited.

Food was fine. Biscuits worth getting. Service was massively slow. Noon reservation, party of 10, 40% full restaurant. Waited Close to hour after ordering for lunch to be delivered. One of our party had to leave (1:15) without eating. Burgers/salads/risotto. Plenty of other options in the city.

Half of the menu was sold out & it was only 6:30 on a Tuesday. Server & manager were apologetic & offered to comp our drinks but overall bad experience when you have to settle for food that wasn’t your first, second or even third choice.

Our food was fairly good but service was lacking. We had to ask twice for the table to be cleaned of the last customers crumbs and there was trash and dirty silverware left under it. Our starter never came out, but was still on the bill.

We were there on a Friday night, and only two other tables we occupied, that should have been our first clue. We ordered simple sandwiches and burgers, yet the service was very slow, the food over cooked and completely tasteless. Overall, steer clear.

We stopped for lunch and had the calamari fries, deviled eggs, Kale and roasted Brussels sprout salad along with a Turkey and Avocado sandwich. Oww and not to forget their biscuits. Along with the meal my wife had Love Drunk Rose and I had a saison that was on tap. The food and service was exceptional as expected.

Inside was super loud but for a more quiet setting we sat outside. The chicken sandwich needed more flavor. The hush puppies were good. My Malbec wine was good.

They a have nice happy hour. The drinks are reduced in price. The appetizers are reduced in price but they are small. The food was excellent. Be sure and order the biscuits, they are delicious.

We have been there a few times and the ambience is very nice. There are many dishes that we like but this time the food was ok but not as good as I remembered and the service was just fine..I guess the waiter just didn’t have a good day..not a bit of happiness or a smile..oh well, i will probably go back but maybe not with the same enthusiasm.

Tried this place while on vacation. Had one of the worst Cosmos, never had one before which tasted so strongly of Rose’s lime juice. A Gastropub should be using fresh lime juice. Not sure why this 4 ingredient drink is so difficult to make. The wait staff gave the feel of being extremely busy but the restaurant was not full. I had to send back the salmon which I added to my Brussels sprouts and kale salad as it was completely raw in the middle. I finished my salad and told the waitress to skip bringing it back. Only to learn it had been left in the oven and couldn’t be served to anyone! Thankfully they removed it from the bill. Our daughter had the 7 layer chicken salad. She was very disappointed. Corn and black beans tasted like they came straight from a can. Dressing didn’t have much flavor. The two remaining people in our party were happy with their choices - French dip and chicken Caesar salad. With so many great dining options in Chicago, skip this one.

I ordered fried chicken sandwich w/ fries. Chicken sandwich was just ok. Fries were terrible. My husband ordered risotto. It tasted ok but rice was not a good consistency, in part was too done & other parts were not done enough.

This a nice somewhat casual restaurant in downtown Chicago. I had a delicious crispy chicken sandwich. The food was good and our party of 6 was probably in and out of there in 90 minutes on a busy Friday evening in summer. With some meals as unusual as it's name, the Copper Fox Gastropub surely has something for everyone to enjoy. In terms of apps, the #16 biscuits were very good.

We had reservations for noon, we were seated at 11:50, and no one came to our table until 12:15. They were very understaffed and our server could not keep up. The food was good.
Also- if you order a latte, they walk to Starbucks in the hotel lobby to get it and it comes in a disposable cup. Very odd.

I had a great experience here. 3 staff members came to check that we were taken care of during our dinner besides our server. Food and cocktails were delicious. I recommend the pork belly and grits as well as the hush puppies.

Restaurant was fairly empty but we waited FOREVER to receive our order. THen the food was just meh. Nothing inspired and fairly bland. Dinner the night at Doc B's was far superior.
