In dealing with the COVID protocols, the staff at the Copper Chimney have done an excellent job. The menu is smaller but the selection - even on the compressed menu -- was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed it and felt safe at all times.
Delicious. Their food is amazing. So flavour-forward.
Nice and quiet place. Service was excellent. Ordered the butter chicken and garlic Naan. The rice was so fluffy and nice. Would go back again for sure.
Pretty good time out there
The food is pretty bad, some of the worst Indian food I've had. Service is slow, staff looks bored.
Dine out Vancouver, first time at this restaurant. Starter was delicious, stuffed naan. The main was lacking flavour, very plain, very cheap, 4 or 5 shrimp on some rice. Extremely disappointing.
The food was average. Nothing to rave about and the cost was way to high for what you got.
Amanda was an amazing staff. She was prompt, caring and knowledgeable about the food. Our food was delicious and price was reasonable. Great ambiance. We’ll be back.
We decided to order off the regular menu instead of Dine-Out . The lamb curry was excellent and so was the beet salad. This is obviously a modern take on Indian food with many fusion dishes such as chai infused creme caramel. The quality is definitely there and the drinks were outstanding. The place is decorated beautifully and has a quiet upscale bar feel, relaxed and clearly a hit for the modern Indian families.
Nice spot. Service was a little off but not horrible. Food was tasty, portions sizes were smallish. I’d go back for sure
We had the dine out Vancouver menu and everything was delicious. We’ll definitely be back to try their full menu
The best service and atmosphere for gathering friends and family! We had exceptional food that was full of fabulous flavours and textures. Recommend the sharing plates, they will not disappoint.
The service was terribly slow. We spent close to 2 hours here because our 3 course meal took a really time to make... Although the portions were small. I don't understand why there was a hold up - it wasn't that busy and they didnt apologize for any delays.
Although our reservation was for 11:00 am, the restaurant was closing at that time as it was Christmas Day. However, they very graciously seated us and served us a delicious brunch. We could not have been happier.
Great food - we had the platter to sample more and staff were very accommodating for us to mix up the options. Everything tasted wonderful. Great service, nice ambience, very comfortable seating. Would definitely recommend.
hopefully, an isolated case, but five of us received our meals at roughly the same time, but the sixth person waited at lease another ten minutes before his meal arrived.
but that would not stop me from returning - unless it happened again.
Very good Indian cuisine. The chicken kabob and palek paneer were perfect. The service was good. A little slow on drink delivery but it was crowded for a monday afternoon. I enjoyed the meal.
Great food and fantastic service as usual. Highly recommend.
I was very disappointed upon arrival - I made a reservation sometime ago and the table was not ready. I specifically asked for standard seating in my reservation. However, I was offered the bar. This was not the seating that was conducive to my guest and me. I am a regular - lunch and after work -- and felt that this was rather shabby.
Wanita, our waitress - made us feel very special, welcoming and comfortable. The food as always was YUMMY! Authentic Indian food in Vancouver! I definately recommend this resturant if you are in dowtown and want to have a cosy and classy evening with delicious food! Overall experience was wonderful and my husband had a lovely Birthday! Thank You!
Reservations don't have much effect. Even with reservations, it is still first come, first seated
We made a reservation drove all the way into vancouver for them to tell us they had a private event and would not take us in. Not sure why they took our reservation if they where booked out for a private event
I am disappointed with the menu. I was led to believe that there was a new chef and expected a new menu. While the meal was good the selection was okay. The chef does need to change the fries — the casaba fries are stodgy. The need to be boiled first and then fried. Otherwise bring back the regular spiced fries.
Just an overall great experience
Service was slow. Server was inattentive. Food overpriced. Will not return nor give a recommendation.
Really loved the thalis. We had the beef one and the fish one and shared. PLENTY of food! Waitress was a little odd, actually, but the food servers were nice. We'd give it another go.
We had some family in town and they like Indian so we thought we’d give this restaurant a try. We were very pleased. The food was great. We tried a big variety of dishes and they were all good. Is definitely return again.
Lunch was warm at best and the rice was bland. Ambience was lacking as the restaurant was quiet and lacked energy.
Always tasty with great service.
Some of the best Indian food in downtown Vancouver.
Finally found the best Indian food in Vancouver. Breads thali and tandoori specialities all worth trying
Good food choices, our server suggested two of their platters for our party. A great suggestion. Great variety and delicious. 😀
I did have a mysterious charge of$5 called open food which I didn’t catch I. Time to ask about/ but we had not had anything extra at all!
Food is good, but not really Indian. LOTS of meat. The restaurant interior is beautiful. We generally pay with VISA and do not have foreign transaction fees so pay in CAD. However, the waiter wanted to "show us" what it was in USD, and then he pushed the button before my husband could - point is, charge was between $4-5 more for us.
The assortment was very nice. The food is slightly spicy so I would recommend choosing dishes that are not spicy.
Good food, and quiet atmosphere. Excellent location with easy parking and accessibility.
I am a little bit disappointed with the menu. However, I am told that there is a new chef and am hoping that this will improve the selection. I used to love their menu and then they dropped favourites and changed other standbys. The staff is fabulous and the venue is lovely. They need to improve the selection.
Thank-you very much for the review and return business. Yes, the team is correct we have a new (award winning!) Chef and will be updating the menu again before the fall. Let's see if we can get more stars from you later this year?
Disappointing we could not get a table upstairs. I like the food, however the nosie level downstairs is too high to comfortably carry on a good conversation. They should always have the upstairs area open for people who prefer a quieter area.
Thank-you very much for taking the time to write your review. We share all reviews with the team and will look into the upstairs/downstairs suggestion and perhaps serving you upstairs someday soon.
A friend and I were there for lunch on Monday. It wasn't busy. We received good service.
Thank-you very much for your review. We share all reviews with the team and hope to serve you again someday soon!
Dinner was delicious, tasting menu provided a nice selection and atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. We were able to enjoy our meal and have a conversation. I will definitely go back!!
Thank-you very much for your kind review. We’re glad you enjoyed your experience. We share all reviews with the team and hope to serve you again someday soon! Yes, tasting menu and Thalis are a wonderful way to try lots of different items on the menu without ordering too much food. We're happy you enjoyed.
