Great ambience and accomodating staff. Server was extremely friendly and knew exactly when to show up at our table.
Service was attentive. Food was very good, made from scratch-no issues there. However, like most options in this area-very pricey! 16 US for a hamburger? C'mon Orlando-you hijack your tourists.
Good food and service. $34 for 2 small, but excellent crab cakes, for example. A glass of wine was $12!!! Just a little pricey. The service was overly attentive to the point where we were constantly being interrupted. Staff was courteous, very helpful and friendly however, and we know they were trying to do a good job. They were just coming by too many times to check on our needs, so our romantic dinner was not so romantic. The atmosphere was very nice and the bar was hopping. The food really was excellent. Just be prepared to pay. Our bill was about $100 and we didn't order appetizers or dessert.
Food was ok. Service was good. There are other eateries which will get my custom next time.
we tried the food at the downtown wine festival. The restaurant was great. Food was good. The smoked salmon appetizer was the table favorite
My first time. The food was a little heavy on the salt, but very good. I would go again.
We had just seen a movie at Pointe Orlando and were looking for something to eat. I had seen Cooper Caynon Grill on OpenTable before and was intrigued by the menu so this seemed like an ideal opportunity to try it out. We both were thinking salad and lucky for us this grill- known for their rotisserie chicken and other grilled meats- has two awesome salads that were tasty and filling. My dining companion had the steak salad which he said was cooked how he wanted and the flavor of the steak was great. I opted for the rotisserie chicken salad which did not disappoint- full of mixed greens, black beans and corn, jicama, avocado, (of course) chicken and served with both a BBQ sauce and a spicy/chipotle blue cheese dressing. I had contemplated trying the iron skillet corn bread as an appetizer, but we lucked out as a slice came with each of our salads. I'd go back for the cornbread- jalapeno corn! The service was great too- very friendly and anticipated our needs. They have a happy hour during the week and I would definitely be willing to stop by.
Absolutely love the staff, especially Jason. Once, he even came over to check on us because he remembered us and we weren't even his table. They treat my food allergies with special care. It's sad that the Prime Rib is only served seasonal but, the french dip is a nice substitute. I'm actually craving it right now as I'm typing this. Impeccable!
Consistently great food, wine and service. I love the grilled flavor of their hamburgers and my husband really enjoy the salmon salad.
After we dined found out they do not validate for parking, did know this till after we left. parking is kind of pain, you get a ticket, then have to take it with you, then pay when you are ready to leave. Totally pain indeed.
Service was superior and really felt like the servers appreciated me being there .
Food was great and was a value Great cocktails , overall great experience .
We will be back! The chicken salad is delicious and my husband had the pork steak, so tender! Loved the hot banana bread w/ice cream for dessert!
I've been here now both for dinner and lunch now and have been disappointed each time. The food quality is fair and location is difficult to get to (unless you are at a nearby convention). The hostess raved about the rotisserie chicken which I had in my salad but found it bland and soggy amid boring iceberg lettuce. Others at the table were not impressed either. The service was very good but that may have been a function of the low number of guests at lunch.
We all absolutely loved our first experience. Jason, one of the waiters, was beyond amazing. His knowledge of the restaurant & determination to make your dining with Copper Canyon exceptional, was refreshing. We will recommend and frequent without a doubt!! Yummy, yummy, yummy!!!!!
The food offering was great for everyone with a simple menu. The waiter was extremely thorough and everyone was responsive to our table. The only issue was we were a group of six and sat at a booth and the noise level was too high to communicate with the guests across the booth.
My wife and I went there this past Easter. We split a salad (plenty large enough) and we both had the 9 oz filet mignon with spinach and mashed red skin potatoes. The steak was great with blue cheese topping and sauce. The steak was excellent. Both my wife and I thought the spinach could have been more flavorful - many some garlic flavor. Only disappointment was they did not have a fish entrée even though its on the menu and it was Easter.
The restaurant was a little strange. Half of it was like a sports bar and the other half was an upscale/white table cloth restaurant. The menu was limited an a little pricey. I had the ribs, which were highly recommended. They were somewhat overdone and cam with fries and coleslaw for $28.00. I have had much better for far less. We knew we were probably pay more since the restaurant was in a tourist area. I will say the servers were very friendly and the food was brought to the table with little wait. With so many restaurants to choose from in the area, we won’t be back.
We had an assortment of plates for a late lunch/ early dinner Burgers, fish and steak Everything was excellent Waiter was attentive It gets busy and noisy as the night goes on So go early for a quieter meal!
I have been for dinner here on multiple occasions. The food is always excellent. The staff are hyper attentive. The setting is great.
The issue I would have is that the service is simply too quick. You are in and out with starter, main course and a desert inside an hour. It's not cheap and feels very rushed. At these prices you should be able to relax and not have your main course arrive before you have gotten half way through the appetiser. When it's busy you almost feel like they don't even want you to have a dessert but would prefer to turn over the table to the next party.
It's not McDonald's although at times I have spent longer having a meal in McDonald's!!! I will go back for the excellent food though.
My wife and I brought our young boys there for dinner . The menu read like a novel, with each each description espousing how they take painstaking care for each dish, everything made fresh inhouse, specially raised, blah blah blah...
The food was average at best. My wife chose the Rattlesnake pasta which was barely warm, the pasta was not fully cooked and the chicken tough, with barely any flavor.
I chose the chicken pot pie ( highly recommended by the waitress) which contained barely any chicken, but instead filled with a thick paste like substance and a few undercooked potatoes. The crust was heavy and dense as well. Bob Evans makes MUCH better pot pie.
The pretentious staff didn't seem to communicate among themselves very well, with several mistakes on our order.
Finally, they were out of many basic items and condiments.
This was our first visit, but it will not be the last. Our service was fantastic, we liked the fact everyone of the staff works together. We could ask anyone for anything we needed. This is a rare find in the world today. The Wood Roasted Chicken Dinner was truly amazing. Can't wait to try the ribs. All the plates were large enough to share. That includes the desserts. Strawberry Cheesecake and not just warm, but HOT out of the oven bread pudding.
They get very busy, so it is best to make reservations. Nice place for for a date, celebrations, girls night out.
Join the Woodfire Club. There is a 1 time fee for it, but you get that back the first time you go back. This gets you a special bar menu from 3-7PM DAILY. Not just drink discounts, but food also. Check it out.
The hostess for the evening set things off to a horrible start. Rude, short and clearly stressed about the expected crowd. Perhaps front of the house is not the best place for her.
Wait staff, food, and subsequent experience was wonderful. Quick and attentive staff. Amazing food from appetizers to dessert.
Second time dining with you. This was better than the first, but still things to improve upon.
They served an undercooked burger to my customer. We sent it back and it came back still undercooked for his preference. Seemed to take a long time to get the servers attention. They removed the item from my bill
The food was very good and had generous portions. It was cooked to order and all at the table were satisfied with their choices. The desserts are very large and very good. The service was excellent. Staff refilled glasses constantly. Stopped by often to ensure all was well.
Coming from NYC, my wife and I had very different expectations for dining. Going down to Orlando, and trying to not be snobs, we were skeptical that food would be tasty, healthy, and up to the par we are used to back home. Randomly selecting this restaurant, we were very surprised at what a great experience we had! Food is all locally sourced, tastefully made, and delicious! Service is fantastic - our server was friendly, kind, and genuinely interested in the food also - so great to have someone who cares about the food they are serving! I had the meatloaf, which is something I never order at restaurants - such a great choice! We wrapped up our meal with dessert...literally was brought 1/3 a key lime pie as my slice. Needless to say there was much late-night munching on our leftovers. Such a great find, definitely recommend!
We ordered the house special roasted chicken and a Caesar salad. The chicken was perfectly seasoned; the Caesar was good, too, although a little unusual with added red pepper and cornbread croutons.
We love the smoky flavors in their meats. Happy, upbeat wait staff. Good wine and cocktails.
Everything in this restaurant fullfil my expectations. The food, drinks were delish!! I would come back and recomend to others. I only wished they were closer to lake nona area!
I have been dining at Copper Canyon for many years and their quality has not wavered one bit. Still a wonderful experience.
Food was great and the staff very attentive. Our party had the smoked salmon, crab cakes (pure crab), and pepper crusted steak. The bacon, mac and cheese was unexpectedly spicy but good.
Food was good and service prompt. We would return if back in Orlando.
The wait staff was great! Knowledgeable and friendly. We were seated right away and never felt ignored the whole time we were there. They were great with the kids and the food was excellent. I have a gluten intolerance and they were able to provide lots of options!
I took my wife here for Valentine's Day dinner. Our first time here. She had the tortilla soup and LOVED it, she kept saying how it was the best soup she ever had, and that the whole meal was one of the best ever! My Caesar was excellent, came with warm cornbread which was good but an odd pairing, so were the strips of red pepper in the Caesar, I mostly pushed those aside. I had the smoked salmon, which was overboard on the smoke flavor, and I usually am a smoke flavor fan. Wife enjoyed the cobb salad but it was too big to finish. We shared the key lime pie, my wife's favorite. It came with a mountain, I mean a HUGE fistful of whip on top, and even though I don't normally eat key lime pie, I couldn't stop eating it! My old fashioned was nice and smooth with muddled orange and cherry. The crowd was lively and mixed between couples, families, and groups of singles. They were busy but service was very fast, and accurate. We will be back!
We have lived in the Orlando area for 30+ years and are always looking for somewhere new to eat. Looked online for somewhere that was taking reservations for Valentines Day and this came up. Decided to try it and would highly recommend to anyone out that way looking for a great dinner. Would return again. Service was great and the prime rib was excellent.
I made reservations 1 week in advance, when we arrived we were seated outdoors (55 degrees and windy) and were told there were no available seats inside. The restaurant was EMPTY. My reservation was not made so we would be forced to dine outdoors in the wind and chilly air. We asked for a table inside and were told no. So we left. Marlow's Tavern was AMAZING! Great service, great food and amazinf prices, and it's just down the street from Copper Canyon.
I called 3 weeks before to reserve a lunch for 5 people at 11:30 on Feb 10. When we arrived at the appointed time, the dining room wasn't open and there was a line out the door. I was told we would still be seated as soon as our number was texted. I went to the hostess stand 3 times. No one else in front of us in line that I talked to had reservations and were all seated before we were. We were finally seated at 11:50. As a result I was late to my 1:00 appointment.
I've been to this restaurant before and thought it was pretty good, so I returned again. There was a very large group of us and we had fantastic service. Some of the best service I've ever had actually. Aside from that though, everything else was just ok. I had the ahi salad. It was good, but nothing to write home about. We also had the calamari, coconut shrimp, and spinach dip. All were good, but nothing special.
Refreshing to find a restaurant who is not trying to be everything to everybody. They stick to their
American roots and get it absolutely right. We've had burgers, slow roasted chicken and meats around the world and kudos to Copper Canyon for hitting the bullseye and keeping it real. Great burger, OUTSTANDING french dip sandwich - not to be missed. They keep it simple and delicious, I couldn't be more impressed. Pricing is absolutely reasonable for quality and service was excellent.
Drinks were well prepared, and while we didn't have dessert, they looked and sounded delicious. Wish they had more locations on the East Coast. Might have to make a trip to Md.
It takes a lot to get me to go anywhere on International Dr. because I live near UCF, and I don't like crowds; but I would go to Copper Canyon Grill anytime that I eat out with friends for a relaxing, special meal. First Pointe Orlando is so special, someone in our party commented that it was like eating in Europe! And it was like being in a small European town with shops and small streets. Then the Copper Canyon Grill, so nice inside, spacious, and the smells! The staff was so friendly! We were seated right away in a huge booth and asked what we wanted to drink and almost immediately they arrived. I knew what I wanted to eat because I checked out the menu on line; we ordered and had amazing food! We weren't going to get dessert because we were taking food home, but when our waiter talked about them we got two to share, Key Lime Pie and Carrot Cake. OMG! Each piece was large enough for three huge servings, and honestly the Carrot Cake was the best I have ever, ever had, and the Key Lime Pie was great too - wonderful crust. We ate all we could and still took some home. I can't say enough good things about this place, oh, and get your parking ticket validated before you leave.
Service was terrible - very loud environment - I am a very easy to please diner and have never written a negative review in my life, but this was just really an awful experience. I had the chicken which tasted wonderful, but the noise level and service were not good at all.
