Copper Canyon Grill - Glenarden Ratings and Reviews
The trout was amazing! It was a very large filet that was well seasoned & just a little overcooked. The greatest drawback is the decibel level: Extremely noisy. I could hardly hear my friends, both of whom were sitting next to me on either side. I could not hear my other friend who sat across from me. Disappointing. Service was fair...Food was good.
Hands down the meatloaf is my favorite! The chicken potpie came in as a close second this trip! The noise level is quite high with families bring children and girlfriends celebrating occasions , but you should be able to lean forward and speak normally with your party. But- you go for the food, not the drinks or the conversation!
I will never return to this location! I made reservations for a friends birthday via OpenTable, keep in mind the site request if there are any special occasions and it was specified to provide a candle on dessert. Upon approaching the hostess to check-in, the lady didn't even look us me rather grabbed menus and passed them on to another person who didn't speak to us. He dropped the reservation card on the table and kept walking but never told us that it was our table. We sat down at 7:25 and we both ordered drinks from the bar but only 1 drink arrived to the table at 7:45. I finally received my bottle of wine around 8:05 (yes I timed it having been a waitress before, it's difficult not to). When the entrees arrived, his Mahi was overcooked and my mash were cold and the crab cakes were just warm. There were so many servers at least 6 that I wasn't sure who to ask for help, just confusing. On top of everything, dessert was dropped off w/o a candle which threw me over the edge because we watched 3 other tables with candles. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and will NEVER return to this location. I chose to dine here because of the awesome experience I had in Columbia. Even after all of that, I still mustered a tip. The manager tried to make things right and comped 1 meal and desserts but they had 1 chance to get it right and to me it was an epic fail.
A convenient place for friends to meet for lunch. Good parking, easy access from beltway. But as usual the service is slow. My companion got his drink but I had to remind the server to bring mine. Then someone else brought a drink but not what I ordered. I don't go often, but when I do I am reminded why.
I come to this venue on a regular basis. Mostly to bring my Mom after church. On other occasions, I meet up with friends. All my visits thus far have been early afternoon around 2p. Each time, I've used OpenTable so getting seating was a breeze as this is a very busy restaurant and guests are always in the lobby waiting to be seated (I assume most didn't make a reservation). The food is delicious and well seasoned. I can't wait for my next visit, which will be a Sunday afternoon in the near future!
We were entertaining a couple that were in town for their daughter’s funeral who had died suddenly. We were asked before our meals were finished if we could be moved to another table because of a birthday party. We said no at first until the manager came over to ask again and said he would reduce our bill. We moved. We should not have been seated in that area. Ironically, the same thing happened to a friend’s group that were celebrating a pregnancy at brunch on a Sunday. They were asked to leave for another group. We feel management is not handling seating and timing too well. The other group will never return.
We decided to get together for a mid-week girls night out and have dinner. The food was great (as always). What made the evening enjoyable was our server. Malcolm was our primary server and he was training David. David was polite and had a great smile. We asked Malcolm if "David the trainee" could tell us about the specials. We all laughed and then David became our primary server and Malcolm the helpful assistant.
Both servers were helpful and pleasant. Malcolm recommended an "adult beverage" for my friend that she could mix with lemonade. She loved it!
A great girls night out!
