Copper Café and Bakery, at Madonna Inn
Adjacent to the Copper Café, guest enjoy the Madonna Inn Bakery featuring world-famous cakes, pies, cookies, along with French and Danish pastries, all made daily with the finest ingredients.
We let our server know it was my Mother's 82 Birthday and she didn't even bother to put a candle in the cake, had an attitude with every request we made or anything we asked for. It was extremely disappointing and put a damper on our celebration.
The Burger of the week was amazing. We love the Madonna Inn!
My wife and I agree that this will be our restaurant pit stop any time we're heading up north on the 101. Service was great. Food was excellent. Drinks were fun. Thumbs up all around.
The desserts are really scrumptious! Try the champagne cake.
The food is delicious and priced right and the ambience is unique, fun and entertaining.
Their cake is the best. The noise level was high but service was great and the waitress was very pleasant.
Sweetest server, funky ambiance, water glasses in every color of the rainbow that are heavy as heck and would seriously hurt someone if thrown BUT YOU WON’T DO THAT in such a fun gorgeous place like the Madonna Inn. And the cake which we used to chase down the breakfast was chocolate covered sin.
Incidentally they have the waterglasses for sale downstairs across from the pink bathrooms mentioned in one of Weird Al’s songs. Bought two for science experiments, self defense, and arguments. They are also pretty.
Fantastic way to celebrate a friend’s birthday lunch!
We go here all the time, but our waitress wasn’t as good as the times we were there. We had to keep asking for things we ordered, and my daughters dinner came 10 minutes after everyone else’s food. The waitress told us that she forgot to put her order in, and she acted like it was our fault. I will not probably have a holiday meal there again, the staff seemed off their game.
We have a tradition of stopping for brunch at Madonna Inn when we go from the Bay Area to Anaheim, but I was a bit worried about finding space on Easter Sunday. So, we used the on-line reservation service to book our space. It all worked like a charm. Our table was ready when we got there and, despite the crowds, service was just as fast as always, and the food was just as wonderful as it always is. The only thing I might wish for at Madonna Inn is more shaded parking, but that’s because we travel with our dog.
Had a fun lunch break on our drive down to Solvang. Food was great, shops are fun to poke through. Haven't had dinner here before but maybe next time....
We loved our time here. The atmosphere is unique and the food delicious.
Loved dining here for Lunch. We can't wait to go back and eat at the Steakhouse! Very yummy food!
Seated promptly as we were on time for our reservation. Hostess was friendly. 2 men who did not have a reservation and were seated after us were treated first by the server. Our server was really friendly and gave a great suggestion that I should get the sweet potato fries. Best thing that I ate. My husband really enjoyed his Avocado salad. The chili was amazing! Maybe the best I've ever had. Patty Melt was bland and dry even though I ordered medium rare. The cup of clam chowder was smaller than I expected for the price. It was just okay. My son had the hamburger, it looked nearer to medium rare and he ordered medium. We were seated near screaming kids. Annoying, but we managed. This is definitely a whimsical establishment and we will come back to try dinner.
Food was excellent, service was impeccable, price was reasonable, ambiance was attractive. There is little more I can say!
We reserved a table for 8 for brunch and everything was delightful! Our server totally read the groups vibes and had a wonderful sense of humor that added energy to our experience. This was a wonderful experience and I'd definitely recommend for a larger group who is celebrating something fun! Thank you!!
The pastry’s and cakes are the best I ever tasted!!
Such a fun place, I would definitely recommend it 😀
The Madonna Inn is a tourist attraction. You don't go there for the food. It's so so. Be sure to tour the main dining room and lower level men's room (quite unique).
Stopped in for breakfast. It was fun.
I reserved a table over a month ago for husband’s 80 birthday and when we got there it was taken. Very disappointing as we frequent this restaurant on a regular basis. This is the third time this has happened. It’s like they don’t honor your requests. No recognition of his birthday as I’ve seen with other patrons. Very disgusted! Will think twice before I choose this restaurant again.
Very interesting spot to visit. The food was very tasty and the waitress was top notch. Could have been a little cleaner. Would recommend as a quaint spot to see and get some pics.
I always enjoy the Copper Cafe and look forward to coming again but our service on this visit was atrocious.
Everything was great. the Toffee Crunch Cake the best!
We always have birthday breakfast here. The food is usually good and we enjoy the
There's a lot of pink, pink decor, pink sugar, pink napkin. It's a tourist spot, so it's worth visiting. Food is good, but nothing special.
It was awful. Poor quality food and the restaurant was dirty. Ugh.
Took our granddaughter there for her 20th birthday. Really loved the food and we bought extra cake so she could share with her roommates at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
We had a great time for my daughters 18th birthday! Ali and McKayla were amazing and so sweet to my daughter. She was made to feel very special and she had a great time. The food was delicious and we loved looking through the little shops after eating. This is our third year of doing this for her birthday and we love the tradition! It was something my grandfather did with me before he passed. So many wonderful memories! Thanks for making this a great tradition I can pass on to my daughter! We can’t wait for next year! :)
Food can be improved.
Very good reception.
The service was excellent, my daughters birthday and the waitress made it very special Doherty and the whole family.
Excellent choice for a special occasion. We made a reservation for 7 of us including two kids. We chose this location for my four year old daughter’s birthday. It was perfect! From the colorful goblets, to the coffee, salads, and sandwiches, everything was perfect! My daughter especially loved the pink sugar on the table for coffee, the mini bathroom for girls and the Shirley Temple she enjoyed with lunch. We might even make this a annual ladies’ luncheon event. I honesty can’t say enough good things about this choice!
The menu has something for everyone. I enjoyed my hot open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. Good old-fashioned comfort food. Bought cookies at the bakery counter for later. The oatmeal raisin ones were my favorite. And the Angel cookies are melt-in-your mouth tender!
A very special place. My first time to visit; took a good friend. Will return...
I ordered the prime rib steak sandwich.
I requested medium well and that’s what I got. Unfortunately, it was chewy and dry.
They were really busy, but met the challenge well. The waitress was genuinely nice. My slice of pie was warmed (I love that). I love this place.
Enjoyed an enjoyable lunch with a great waitress (Katy). The seating request was fulfilled to perfection. The sandwiches and desert were delicious. Made for a great birthday celebration. Would recommend the Copper Cafe and Bakery to friends and all. Will be going back for more soon.
Disappointing on so many levels. Cheesy interior, touristy atmosphere. I ordered the brisket with broccoli and my husband ordered filet mignon with mashed potatoes. Food was flavorless and brisket was tough and chewy. Overpriced.
The food was average at best. The tri tip was tough. The gravy was cold. French fries greasy. Pastrami was chewy. Not a good experience.
