Our own savory recipe made with pineapple and spices
Two Eggs over a thick slice of ham and grilled English muffin smothered in Hollandaise sauce. Served with fruit
Enjoyed dining for lunch at the Copper Cafe today.
Belgian Waffle delicious. I would order again. Especially when its strawberry season
We had a great morning and the whole staff was amazing
It was a perfect spot to eat dinner while staying at the hotel. The ambience made it totally worth it. There is also a nice selection of food. Would definitely eat here again.
A wonderful app that allows me to make reservations the same day! I was greeted, seated, and immediately attended to. The wait staff especially the waitress, was exceptional and very attentive. I asked for a sample of the soup and she gladly brought it to me. I would recommend this coffee shop, especially for tourists!
Extremely bad service. Took about 40 mins for anyone to address our table. Comes off as a poorly ran cafe which obviously stems from management. Manager seems to have zero interest in making the customers experience a good one. Only the hostess was friendly. The waitress and manager did not display any customers service skills.
Delicious food and great service! Lovely friendly vacation place. Can't beat it.
Server very kind, attentive. Food was great. Portions were BIG. Overall had great experience.
Heard how light fluffy pancakes were mine over cooked
In a hurry for us to leave felt rushed
Went to celebrate my daughter's Birthday. It was a perfect evening.
The food was good although high priced for breakfast. All items were ala carte, adding to the overall price tag. Good place for special occasions.
IT'S OBVIOUS THAT COVID HAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE DECLINE IN THE QUALITY OF FOOD. I HAVE BEEN A PATRON OF THE MADONNA IN FOR OVER 20 YEARS. THIS IS THE FIRST REALLY BAD MEAL MY FAMILY AND I HAVE EVER HAD.
THE SERVICE WAS " EXCELLENT" THE FOOD WAS BAD.
Staff were great!
Had reservations and showed up a few minutes early. Waited for a table. Family came in with reservations a half hour after us. It was given our table. They set us by the kitchen. Very disappointed because they gave our table away and acted like we were not there.
Amazing and staff was great
They lost our food order ticket is what the waitress told us …but she didn’t tell us until we had been waiting a long time and we’re already frustrated and ready to leave.. so we ask our food to go and will probably not come back
No to go, not even for reservations. No COVID precautions. Unfriendly staff.
Well wife's drink started out wrong and the worst part was somehow waitress thought we only ordered 1 main course Halibut plate so I ate a side salad for my dinner and was to frustrated to wait for my order to be fixed. But made the best of it shared food with my beautiful wife. Happy New Years everyone. Just got a bad waitress.
Food is excellent and the ambiance is so fun! Love visiting the Madonna Inn while on the Central Coast!
Great staff! Fun ambiance.
Mediocre for a restaurant we expected more from. Disappointing food, but service was okay.
Bad food and bad service. The soup came cold and the turkey burger not fully cooked!
Their Monte Cristo sandwiches are the best! The service left nothing to be desired, and they anticipated your every need.
Out of town family
Took my family to experience the Christmas decor and have some dessert. As always it was delicious. Our waitress was accommodating but very busy and I’m sure they are understaffed as everywhere is right now. But overall, we had a lovely evening
We get this is a tourist trap but the food is disgusting. Go visit but do not eat here. The waffles tasted like a shoe, coffee and water like toilet water , sour pancakes.
We were not seated until 15 minutes after our reservation. Were not acknowledged with coffee or water for 30 minutes, and only, then, because we tracked someone down. Bacon was very salty, eggs, hash browns, and toast were nothing special, I will save my breakfast money for the steak restaurant.
It was great food and wonderful ambiance.
The Christmas decoration was nice! We were served coffee and water immediately. We ordered waffles, it was good!
We had a reservation and were 5 min late due to the severe rain all along our 3hr drive from the Bay Area. We still had to wait 20 min to get seated. Server had zero interest in service. Didn’t smile once. The few times he came to either get our order or drop off food, he seemed extremely perturbed by our presence. I’ve been a server at several places and know it’s not easy but this guy should really not make himself do this job if he hates it so much. My sandwich was not made how I ordered it(wrong bread & cheese) but was still good so I didn’t say anything. I was really looking forward to dessert we were ordered to go, but server did not specify there were 2 types of Black Forest (1 without cherries, which he very unfortunately brought us and didn’t clarify). I didn’t realize I had the wrong 1, because I had no idea there was a wrong 1, until we got to our destination. We had to-go
Containers but server did not ask if we needed/wanted a bag, which we had to go hunt someone else down to get. Food and atmosphere were great. Server was rude and not good at his job.
Unfortunately, the food was not as expected. I ordered a french dip with french fries. The sandwich was very small, which was fine for me, but for the average person it would be considered inadequate. The fries were not eatable. Very disappointed with the wait for food & the food itself. Ambiance was great.
The Cakes! Especially the Toffee Crunch Cake and The Champagne Cake-which is like beautiful Wedding Cake. Worth the drive for these alone. And an old-school atmosphere that you rarely can find anymore.
Breakfast is amazing, banana cake is delicious, service is good, unique ambience, very good prices, if you are in SLO do not miss the chance go.
The staff was very nice and helpful with food recommendations with the restaurant, chocolates, and bakery. :)
Sausage starter good and enjoyable but swordfish and halibut entrees overcooked and cold. Most of the food was generally poorly cooked and badly presented.
Server was offhand and disinterested . Not good value.
We were so excited to go to Madonna Inn to eat at the Copper Cafe and Bakery. Unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations. The staff was not attentive and seemed very rushed. The 22.95 shrimp cocktail had cut in half shrimps around the rim of the glass. All in all it was a big disappointment.
Food came room temperature and took very long too arrive at the table. The ambience is great though.
My family and I had a great time here, the food was good and the staff there was really amazing. The only compliant I have is everything took forever, despite having a 1:15 reservation we didn't get seated til 1:45. We ordered our food at 2 and didn't get any food til 2:45. Also a nice heads up would be the main dining room in all the photos doesn't open up until 5 pm. We were disappointed to sit somewhere else.
The food is always excellent. Highly recommend getting a reservation.
