I enjoy eating at the Copper Cafe
It was such a beautiful venue. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was delicious. Our waiter was the sweetest! Will definitely be coming back!
Reserving a table is really the way to go
It was a nice afternoon snack of Black Forest cake and coffee. It was very busy and very noisy, but it was the day after Thanksgiving so to be expected. Delicious food and good service. The Madonna Inn is all decked out for the holidays and looks beautiful. The Copper Cafe is worth a stop for a meal or a fun afternoon recharge like we did.
You just have to see the Madonna Inn. It's a classic. The Copper Cafe and Bakery was a perfect way to experience it. The staff is really quite fantastic and we enjoyed our meal here.
OUR server was Makala and she outshined thre other servers that pass by our table.
Great choice for a family friendly, fun dining experience. Noise level is up there...so be prepared.
Always a great experience at the Madonna Inn. Both the Gold Rush steak house and copper coffee were awesome. Great service and great food!
Best eggs Benedict! Good portions, a family favorite
Food, service and holiday atmosphere was the best. Just what we needed to get in the holiday spirit.
We are locals who live in Arroyo Grande, I had been to the Copper Cafe last Thursday and thought it would be fun to bring our two your grandsons and our daughter to dinner because your decorations for Christmas are so beautiful. I made a reservation but when we arrived we were told that the table (booth) they had for us was behind the counter, closest to the kitchen and with no Christmas decorations in sight, VERY disappointing. We were told that that was the only table they could give us because I had not made a special request for a different table. I had no idea that there even were tables in that little back corner. The food was fine EXCEPT for the Pink Champagne cake. It came to us without a single curl of the pink champagne confection that is usually all over the top. I had a piece of it the previous day, and it was both beautiful and delicious. Overall, the evening we quite a disappointment, something that we have never experienced a Madonna Inn EVER. Of course, we will be back but this was a sad evening for us and our family.
Food not so good but it was a nice place to go and see.
My meal (tritip with broccoli) was only okay, my husband's ribeye was good. Our poor server seemed to be working too many tables and we only got our water refilled when I begged another server. We ordered cake. First choice was out, second choice was out. We finally got our third choice. Overall the ambiance was great not the service and food were a bit disappointing. Will try again.
Long time family favorite! You can't get a better open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy- love!!
Came in for breakfast to celebrate my husband's birthday. Having made a reservation was a good idea because we were seated within five minuets while parties who didn't have one were told it would be a 45 minute wait. Both the host and the waiter we came into contact with were very nice and helpful. You always know what to expect at The Copper Cafe!
We LOVE the desserts! Always stop by when visiting our college kids.
I would recommend because of the ambiance and dessert but the food was not good. My sandwich was very dry, the bread didn't taste fresh and my sweet potato fries were burnt.
When I made the reservations I stated we were celebrating my daughter's birthday and end of chemo. When we walked in they were very nice, table was ready and they said we'll get your balloon which they didn't bring.
Sorry, but this was very disappointing for a Sunday brunch experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was cold and confused. We waited 20 minutes to get our drinks. The eggs were watery, waffles weren’t tasty, and the server never checked on us. There were several large parties and it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other across the table.
Great Place! Great Service! Service from another time.
Just a very cool place to go. Food was exactly as ordered and it's so great to have a place you can make reservations at for Sunday breakfast.
Food was a little disappointing and service was slow. I guess you come here for the decor and grounds. It's an experience!
We had a very large party that came in for a very special occasion. The service was wonderful. Everything was ready to go when we got there. The manager was present and spoke to us. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
No matter how early it is or what you order for breakfast, lunch ... follow it with a cake!
The Monte Cristo sandwich was great and hard to find these days. The service was very friendly
Fabulous place to go especially for celebrating a birthday! They give you a balloon and let you pick out a free dessert from the menu. My daughter got the slice of champagne cake and it was big enough to share with all 7 of us. Thanks Madonna Inn! I also recommend the horseback riding at the stables as well.
Just slow in initial server contact after being seated. About 10-minutes. Other then that great service and food.
A large party of us went to lunch here for a farewell / birthday party. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Of course, it is a very unique place, so your eyes don't get bored looking around. I was told the corned beef hash and eggs was a famous dish and people traveled from afar to order it. I tried it too. It was pretty good. I don't know if I would travel a long distance for it though. Overall, a pleasant experience.
Love this place!!! It was first time and I loved it! Will be back again!
Really average roadside dining. Nothing more, nothing less. Food was ok. Service was excellent.
It was great
Great vibe, great food and great staff! Would absolutely go back when in the area.
This was, in all honesty, the worst time that we have spent at a restaurant in years. We were only going for dessert. I followed local recommendations for places with good desserts in SLO and found this to be the exact opposite of top reviews. Most of the menu items were not in stock. The few that were, milk shakes, sundaes, etc. , were horrible. Even the cakes and pies that everyone raved about were like eating week old items from the discount table at Safeway. I was so disappointed and embarrassed to have taken family, in a limo, to this place. I promise that it will never happen again.
Very good food and service. The noise level is loud, but I'm not sure you can do anything about that..
Funky decor worth seeing. The menu has good choices and the food was tasty. The server was courteous and we didn’t have to wait long for our meal. The restaurant next to it is even funkier and worth seeing or dining at. Reservations are recommended.
The steak was amazing! We also had a slice of lemon coconut cake and banana cream pie for dessert. This restaurant is 5 star all the way!
We were first timers at the Copper Cafe. It was a “girls day” for us and we were celebrating 3 birthdays. Wanted some place special, and we definitely found that at Copper Cafe! Thank you for awesome service and really good food!!
Bad food, great service fixed all left happy. Bachelorette party next to us at noon on a weekday very innaproproate language
My wife ordered the halibut and says it was good. I ordered a Rueben sandwich, not good. There was no thousand island dressing on it, very little sauerkraut, bread was stale, meat dry. Also had coleslaw as a side. It was also very dry, basically just cabbage. Would not recommend this restaurant. Very expensive, all show and no substance.
Lovely one of my favorite places took beautiful pictures in front and worked up an appetite was not disappointed great meal. Treated to a pink cake for an early birthday party! So yummy!
Decent breakfast fare in a pretty trippy place. Our large group was sat 10 min after reservation. Service was great!
