Was not happy, they did not turn on the heaters for me as we were cold and had the heaters right next to us....
Wonderful outdoor space for dining! They truly take it to another level with their service, food, decor.
amazing as always. food is great, service is great, and on top of all that - they are exactly the type of restaurant I want to support during a tough time for restaurants. good people making good food and helping to make boston a little better.
Food is delicious and tables are socially distanced.
The best pizza in Boston, honestly, fabulous. Had the arancini & wood roasted romanesco- highly recommend.
I just love this place in the south end. Great food always!! Thanks, y’all!
Delicious fresh pasta and spacious patio seating along the sidewalk.
We’ve been many times and always enjoy the experience! 10/10!
Everything was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive.
Excellent - as usual
Sat outside on a Sunday afternoon, split 2 pastas (cavatelli and fusilli) as well as the cauliflower, meatballs, and ceviche. fusilli was our favorite! also recommend their tiramisu which had like a chocolate ganache (not typical tiramisu) and the pistachio gelato.
No e environment. Very well made and interesting food. Not standard...very creative flavor combinations that work.
My husband and I hadn’t been on a date night in so long. Coppa made it feel very special and we were so happy to get out of the house and enjoy a delicious meal!
A beloved South End favorite. Truly delicious Italian food is rare, but Coppa delivers it over and over again.
Tables outside are cheap and flimsy, no propane in any of the 8 heaters they had. Overpriced drinks, didn’t stay for the food
Great service and food. Super efficient and really helpful
The outdoor seating area is amazing on one side but it’s pretty sad on the other side of the building. Food was solid. The waiter didn’t seem like he was enjoying his night which put a damper on things. Not good enough overall for $150 bill for 4 people.
Such a disappointment. The server was preoccupied yelling to her roommate who was across the street on her way to a Halloween party in the middle of taking our order. They had heaters as it was freezing that night but either they didn’t work or they were trying to conserve the gas and refused to turn them up. I asked if one could be moved closer to us but was told it needed to by as close to the best table to keep everyone warm, makes sense, but nobody occupied the table while we were there. Final straw was at 9:30 when we had just ordered a second bottle of wine and were hovered over and told to “chug it” so they could close and put everything away 15 mins later. I’ve been trying to support restaurants I like during the pandemic but it’s hard to do so when they don’t seem to be giving it their all or stepping up to make some semblance of positive dining experience. Sorry Coppa but I won’t be back, there was plenty that could have been done to create a cozy outside experience despite the snow and cold. Start with being a bit more generous with heat of your going to expect people to dine outside in 25 degree weather, and tell your server I’m not interested in her roommates cow costume she was wearing to attend a party she probably shouldn’t have been going to.
Amazing as always! I thought Coppa has done a great job transitioning during the pandemic and we were cozy enough sitting outside in 50 degrees with the heat lamps. Food was outstanding as always. We came for brunch this time and of course for the the grinder, cacio e pepe scrambled eggs and the delicious zucca!
It was nice to be able to go out to eat. We have been apprehensive due to Covid to even eat outside. The staff was great and the food was good. The hot toddy Which was delicious, was not hot but I decided not to return it in our environment of Covid. I wish it had been hotter but it was really good. The hangover pizza was superb as with the meatballs. We would go back, we had a really nice time.
They do not promise your food will come to your table all at once. Some of us got entrees, then others had to wait and often did not receive their food before others finished their meal. Two of our six entrees took over 45 min and we complained. The manager took care of us and it was okay. However, I still think they should tell you their norm is that your food does not come out all together. When you’re dining with others and some people are eating while others are not it’s just weird. I don’t want to give them a bad review as the food was great, but I would have wanted to know their method of food delivery before we went so I could decide if this was a place for us.
The food at Coppa was fantastic. I would give it 5 stars if they had not forgotten to put a candle in our dessert for my boyfriend's birthday. I not only wrote a note on my reservation, but I called them that day to confirm they could do this for me. I was very disappointed that they forgot, especially since I would not have bought a dessert there if I didn't think they would do this. Little things like this can unfortunately put a damper on a great restaurant.
This was our first visit to Coppa. The overall impression was really just ok.
The bread came in a brown paper bag, and it tasted like the bag.
Found that surprising considering the peperoni pizza was so delicious. The pasta was good, not great. Stella (RIP) is a high bar to measure up to.
The sorbetto was really great. So the start (the pizza) and the finish (the sorbetto) made for a pleasant experience.
Coppa is always good. I love it here. It's getting colder and unfortunately many of the propane heaters were broken. The times prevent new heater purchases, so be sure to dress warm. Perhaps seat cushions to keep the metal chairs a bit warmer, or just BYOB - bring your own blanket!
Woodfired baked chicken sandwich was outstanding. Coppa has nailed outdoor dining.
Coppa has a charming outdoor setup - lots of dog walkers going by on a lovely Boston street, but not heavily trafficked. Food is amazing - their Italian grinder is the best sandwich I have had anywhere. Service was great. Wine by the glass is overpriced though for what isn't anything all that special.
Amazing place. Great service and lots of space between tables outside.
Outdoor on a lovely night. So nice! Food and service excellent.
I go to Coppa almost every weekend--it is one of my favorite places in Boston!
The food is always amazing and the staff is always friendly!
Service was exceptional!
My husband and I came to Coppa for brunch and it was delicious! The biscuits and gravy were amazing! We will be back!
Brunch at Coppa is always a treat, but especially so now (during the COVID pandemic) because of its expanded outdoor seating. The ambiance is like being in an old European city (Paris, Madrid, etc.), with friends, couples, families, single diners, folks with dogs, young, and old all enjoying a relaxing respite on the quiet side streets of the beautiful South End. The scrambled egg cacio pepe was reliably delciious, as was the special (homemade) pasta.
A few things: 1. Don't get the cheese plate. $14 for a dollars worth of cheese.
2. The pasta dishes are good but not exceptional. There are many Boston Italian restaurants with better pasta dishes as well as a much more expansive menu. 3. While the service was fine, they rushed you off of your table.
Overall OK but I would not return.
I follow a vegetarian diet and the choices are good and the quality is very high. Tiramisu was a heavier version than I prefer but still good.
We took our daughters who attend BU to lunch there. Loved the pastas and pizzas! Arugula corn salad was amazing! We had dinner there in the late winter and were so impressed we plan to try to eat there every time we go to Boston. One of the best places we have eaten!
The food and drinks were wonderful and wait staff pleasant. Our outdoor patio seating could have been a little more comfortable to enhance the overall experience. Would recommend for a nice place to go in the South End!
What a great experience for outdoor seating amidst COVID. They took precautions that seriously and maintained a great atmosphere as you dined.
Eating outdoors had a European vibe and I loved it. Everything was perfect and the food was delicious.
