I have been coming to Coppa for the past 7 years, it’s always great good , new dishes to try and some classics on the menu . Love the extended outdoor dining .
Mouse in da house
A great menu, with interesting takes on classic dishes; superb pizza, great service, outdoor patio dining, love this place.
Love Coppa. Continues to be a south end favorite. Everyone is super nice, the location is great, and the food is fantastic.
Haven’t been in Boston for three years. This is my favorite restaurant in Boston. I was very pleased that it is still here and that the quality is as good as I remembered.
Amazing food and service as always!
We love Coppa more and more every time we go! Thanks for a great evening!
Best italian food I have eaten, highly recommend going here
Went for dinner with some old friends. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time, and it wasn’t really acknowledged at any point. Our server was super nice, and gave good recs. The food came out in a really weird order (mains / pastas first, salads / starters last). Food was good. I get that there’s a COVID labor shortage going on, and am empathetic towards that, but some of these things just felt like poor communication / service unrelated to a labor issue.
Everything was fantastic from the tuna crudo to the spaghetti carbonara with Maine uni!!!
Food is ok but it's overpriced
Amazing pasta!! We went for gluten free night and it was one of the best gluten free pasta dishes I have ever had! My non-gluten free friends even loved it! The hazelnut gelato was incredible.
Nice neighborhood restaurant. Tapas were delicious.
We actually really loved the food at Coppa, however our waiter was aloof and barely friendly, let alone attentive. This definitely affected our experience. His wine suggestions weren’t our favorites (yes we explained exactly the style we liked and brands we usually like). The pizzas were spot on and the specials were great. We sat outside and ended up switching out our metal chairs for some other more comfortable plastic ones. I realize the service industry is having a hard time right now, so I will give them a pass for the bad service - but not for long.
Food was delicious but my boyfriend received his pasta, waited for me for five minutes when I told him to go ahead and start, finished his meal and we still waited another five for my pasta to come. Really ruined the vibe of date night when you’re not eating together.
South End neighborhood gem! Nothing else need be said.
Every single dish we had was phenomenal. We're from NY and relatively critical, and were amazed at the food at this restaurant we stumbled on a block from our hotel. We almost didn't make it there- the hostess said they take walk-ins on the phone but when we got there shortly after said she can't accommodate us. Two mins later we spotted an open reservation on OpenTable and snagged it. So after the hostess rejected us outight the first time, we were back with a reservation 2 mins later (she swears she was really, really hoping to accommodate us...). We had pizza, snap peas, arancini, prosciutto/melon salad, and spicy rigatoni, and all the dishes were fantastic. The cocktails too and even the cookies & cream gelato. Sat outside which we wanted, obviously the ambiance is somewhat limited on a street corner, but they have string lights, etc.
Make a rez in advance and enjoy. FYI they do add 3% to bill to compensate non-tipped employees or something.
I went to Coppa a few years ago when they opened. Food was spectacular. One of the best restaurant in the city. I went yesterday again. It was average at best. My order was so salty I had to send it back. I took the carbonara tagliatelle instead. Nothing special. Neither bad nor good. Plus side is Shawmut, a quiet street, ideal to eat outside.
Fantastic as always!
Patio dining held notes of nostalgia from Summers past. Some intimacy lost, but the food was the focus. After a year and a half hiatus, this was my third time there this month. New faces, familiar flavors. Satisfied that my happy place has survived.
Coppa is always outstanding. Love the outdoor seating and extra space it provides.
The food is excellent however no AC very hot in the Summer months
Food was excellent, server was wonderful. It just seemed like the pasta was taking forever to come out of the kitchen.
One of our last meals before leaving Boston. It was super hot out but the staff was still energetic and enthusiastic. Food is always amazing.
Sat outside. Food is excellent. Service was great. Enjoyed the night.
I usually love coppa however last night was quite off its game. The food was salty and room temp service was meh and overall was a poor experience for the cost. disappointed.
Always a delicious and amazing meal
Coppa continues to please as a neighborhood "go to" place -and that says a lot given that it is in the South End. Last night, a friend and I met for a light dinner and wine, and reserved outside. It started to sprinkle, so they moved us under an umbrella to share with others. Everyone was asked, and everyone agreed, and the waitress could not have been more accommodating. In the end, we got pretty wet - and the food was so good we couldn't have cared less.
Food was on point for my third time here. Dining in Boston is very expensive of course, so the value has to come in service, presentation and atmosphere. Pastas were perfect, cheese and meats are delicious, but the waiter made us feel like we were an afterthought to him. Barely checked on us, made decisions on our order that we didn’t ask for, and did the minimum to keep up with drinks. Might do takeout next time.
Best Italian food in Boston, great for a summer evening out.
the restaurant was so hot everyone was just sitting inside baking. how do you not have AC in the dead of summer?
Delicious as usual. Ate there 2 times a week when I lived at 505.
Great food !!!
Nice staff !!!
A great place to bring your family or a date and your pets too !!!!
The food experience was stellar. All of the 5 appetizers and 4 entrees we ordered fantastic. The was a once in a lifetime experience it seemed that all of the stars aligned food quality and speed of service, friendliness of the staff and the wine selection were all outstanding.
We had to wait a while after our reservation time but the food made up for it!
Excellent food and service! I enjoyed the meatballs and rigatoni. I was blown away by the deliciousness! Can’t wait to visit again the next time I’m back in Boston!
sadly, is a different Coppa, Im assuming is a pandemic hangover.
The food was great- and the service was thoughtful- wonderful experience
Great team service in a comfortable and relaxed setting. The patio is great and so is the food. We were delighted by not only the execution from the kitchen, but the seasonal produce was amazing.
Food is good, service is okay (slow, food comes out at different times, and forgetful)
