Italian
Coppa is an intimate enoteca tucked on a quiet side street in Boston's South End featuring Italian small plates created by James Beard Award-winning Chefs Jamie Bissonnette and Ken Oringer. Everything is made with locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. Coppa has an eclectic wine list, and unique cordial-based cocktails.

Please note that our patio is first come first serve and reservations are not accepted for outdoor seating. We only accept reservations for the dining room. A few tables as well as the bar are saved for walk ins. Due to our cozy setting, for reservations of parties over 4 people please call Coppa directly.

As Coppa is a small intimate restaurant with limited seats, we do ask if you are running late to please call and alert the host. If the party does not show up, the table is given away after 15 minutes. Thank you in advance!

We were psyched to try out Coppa for my fiancé’s birthday after reading and hearing the rave reviews. Our waiter was phenomenal and directed us toward excellent wine choices. Other that that, our experience was quite abysmal. Food wasn’t very flavorful (we ordered the appetizer special, a plate of cheeses, and two pasta dishes) and took a long time to come out. We had very high hopes for this birthday dinner but it really let us down!

Food is great, service is awful. Hostess and waiters are not up to the food quality. Pizzas are great. We loved the wine. Avoid the Tiramisu, it is mainly Nutella cake.

We had a wonderful experience at Coppa. Delicious food and excellent service. Awesome and unique cocktails! Due to the small size, it does get a little loud making conversation more difficult. Looking forward to coming back in the warmer months to sit at an outside table.

Celebrated my mom's 75th. Terrible food and service. Really felt rushed and it detracted from the experience. None of the dishes were anything special. I am not sure why this place is always busy.

Excellent food, wine and service! Only issue was we had an outdoor table, and when we ordered the tasting menu it was too small for the five plates served. They staged the servings well enough that it wasn’t a big deal, and on such a beautiful night I was thankful we could eat outside. Reminded me of the little, laid back places in Italy that served outrageously awesome food.

This place was absolutely amazing. We had reservations and we were sat down as soon as we arrived. It's not too big but not too small, very quaint and comfy. The food was to die for. The meatballs are the BEST!! Our waitress was an absolute delight, she was very pleasant and knowledgeable. This is definitely a place that I would go back to anytime. Great job!!!

I always go to coppa for dinner and never tried their brunch until today!!! Me and my friend ordered some salumi and cheese, a hangover pizza and the fried ricotta donut. Everything comes in generous portion and tastes great!! Definitely will come back for brunch again and try other items on the brunch menu!

Our food was, for the most part, amazing and the service was lovely. The whole place was packed, and the acoustics aren't great, if you care about that kind of thing - sitting inside it was hard to have a conversation. That being said, it was a wonderful dinner. It's certainly pricey, but not egregiously so. With two healthy appetites, we shared three small dishes and a pasta, and had just enough room to share dessert. The arancini, shishito peppers, and meatballs were very good. The tagliatelle with meat sauce was out of this world. The olive oil cake with figs and balsamic reduction - the cake itself was absolutely fantastic, but the balsamic reduction was too sharp and vinegary, it took away from the rest of the dish. The house red was really enjoyable.

Amazing little spot in the South end. Homemade pasta at its best-bursting with flavor! The Italian Grinder was outstanding too-meats were cut to order! Don’t miss it!

My wife and I went here for our 4 year anniversary, and we had a great time. The food was amazing (duck prosciutto FTW), the service was stellar (never an empty wine glass), and the atmosphere was poppin. It is a smallish space, so the sound inside carries, but you adjust. Overall, we had a lovely time with some great food!

Coppa is a wonderful intimate setting in the South End full of charm and delicious food. The pizza is always cooked to perfection, the pastas both creative and classic, and the wine is second to none. I always like coming back to one of my most favorite places in Boston when I am in town.

This is a neighborhood gem. In the winter, it is cozy. In fair weather, the sidewalk tables are wonderful. Salumi, pizza and pasta - all delicious with a special appreciation for the meatballs. Warm, professional service. A favorite place in a lovely neighborhood for years.

I would recommend it to a friend since the food itself is very good, but it's crazy loud inside and the service isn't friendly. Nobody was rude, as others have commented upon, but the staff is unsmiling and not warm.

Coppa is always a solid dining experience. Their servers are very knowledgeable to give good recommendations to give you a sampling of the menu and pair it nicely with drinks. This is a small plates style restaurant so instead of having an entire plate of pasta or pizza to yourself it is best to share amongst the group to truly have the full Coppa experience. For a group of 4 or more definitely start with some meats and cheeses, try the celery Caesar salad, you can’t go wrong with the meatballs and/or the arancini and try at least 1 pasta. They cook it perfectly al dente with the right amount of sauce to pasta ratio. Their pizzas, while small, are wonderfully crisp with fresh flavorful toppings.

Pork special was delicious. But went to the restaurant for hand made gluten free pasta due to allergy. Unfortunately informed that gluten free pasta is cooked in same water as gluten pasta. Thankfully server let us know. But a bit disappointed that I was not able to eat it.

Had a delicious dinner at Coppa this past Saturday. The duck procuitto was delicious, as was the pasta special we had that night (pork shoulder tomato and pepper ragu with a hazelnut pepper pesto), the pizza was flavourful due to toppings but no where near as amazing as the pasta. If going back would skip the pizza in favour of the delicious pasta.
This was the only restaurant I encountered on my whole visit to Boston that would not serve alcohol unless you had a MA ID or Passport. Given that I don't carry my passport around I was unable to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner, SO other travelers be prepared!

I ate dinner here a while back and loved it, but the brunch is very limited, especially for vegetarians. Portions are small as well— and I’m not a large portion eater. I wouldn’t return for brunch although sitting outside was nice enough.

Copp’s felt like a neighborhood restaurant. The quality of the food was outstanding and we felt that the price point was on target. The wine choices complemented the food well and the pours were generous. We would definitely return. Because of the size of the restaurant I would definitely recommend a reservation.
