Coppa Café is an extraordinary restaurant in Flagstaff where husband and wife owners and chefs Brian Konefal and Paola Fioravanti favor house-cured meats, ingredients from nearby farms and ranches and foraged foods found in the forests to incorporate into their award-winning dishes.

We were passing through and wanted something healthy and tasty... this was it! From the starter (Carrot soup & bread) to dessert (French macaroons) everything was full of flavor and made with care.
You can't beat the food. My wife and I are foodies and have lived in France and spent a lot of time in Italy as well. This is on par with the better restaurants in those countries. The only complaint has nothing to do with the food or service- it was a little too cold inside and every time someone walks in the restaurant you get a little blast of cool air. Not a deal breaker at all. The food is amazing and the wait staff were great!
Amazing as always. Excellent food, great staff, just great. Deserves a Michelin rating, a 3 star experience worth a trip to AZ just to dine here.
Food was incredible. Service was delightful. Decor needs updating. Bathroom needed service. Normally, the last two things would be a dealbreaker for me, but the food and service was so outstanding that I will go back again.
My husband and I went there for dinner and loved all of the food. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We were delighted with the entire evening.
This was wonderful, unique, beautiful and tasty food. We ate here our first night in Arizona and were so happy. We travelled all around the state and never had another meal as good as this one. All the staff was excellent . Don't let the funky location fool you, this is a very wonderful restaurant, not to be missed . I wish we lived closer! Hoping they stay in business a long time for us to get back to Arizona!
This is our second visit. We really enjoyed both experiences. Good quality ingredients, creative menu, great service.
Our Friday evening meal for six was good. We came back Sunday evening for the Paella party, which was less than stellar. The place was super noisy and the Paella was dry, lacking saffron and overall not that flavorful. The mussels were good, but not enough chicken and too much of the calamari and other seafood. Where was the chorizo or sausage? Won’t come again for Paella, particularly at the prices charged.
This restaurant satisfies the foodie in you!! The Chef is very creative yet traditional. Great wine/cocktail selections. Don't miss dessert
It really is a foodie kind of place...the menu is limited and you have to be a little experimental. That said, everything we had was delicious. The place has great atmosphere and the wait staff was excellent. It's just a charming spot - which surprised me given it's location off Milton.
Coppa is outstanding you will have special dinners you won’t find anywhere else but not so unusual and will appeal to a large clientele.
Coppa is a wonderful place for a special meal. It is the most creative restaurant I have been to in N Az in over 30 years! The chef uses many local ingredients to create a meal that satisfies and surprises! It is a bit pricy though, so I couldn't afford to go there often! Only complaint - very small martini (though delicious).
The Mushroom Lasagna was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. Glad I split it. The other half of our meal was steak frites. The frites were fabulous. The steak was too salty and cut into strangely perfect rounds, the size of a quarter. I'm used to a good hangar steak, so this was a bit of a disappointment . It was grass fed. Desserts are terrific. very sweet.
The best is that they play lovely jazz that doesn't get in your face. No deafening beat that mostly ruins a nice dining experience. We will definitely go back and try all the other things on the menu.
Food was awesome across the board - from appetizers to dessert. Definitely try the local specials - especially if it is mushrooms. Yum.
Fantastic gem. Don’t be fooled by its plain exterior or it’s being in a strip mall. This is seriously good gourmet quality food with an emphasis on locally sourced and home grown ingredients. Great cocktails too. Equals the top restaurants you would find in NYC, LA or SF!
We are so lucky to have Coppa in Flagstaff. This place competes with the best of the best in LA and NYC. Pickled coral mushrooms. Bolete gel. Oyster mushroom foam. I would love it if it wasn't in a strip mall and had cozier seats/lighting/atmosphere but I guess I love it anyway. Thanks, Coppa, for being so incredible.
This would be considered one of those “hidden gems” tucked away in a strip mall. Limited menu choices, but all selected items were delicious, including the cod, mushroom lasagne and steak frites. Fresh crusty bread and butter was served before dinner. We selected a bottle of wine that was discounted that evening and enjoyed that. Only complaint was that a 20% service charge was automatically added on total bill even though we were only a party of four.
Delicious. Really enjoyed everything from apps to dessert.
This was my husband and my second visit to Coppa. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We started with the special appetizer of locally-sourced chantrell mushrooms with a Jerusalem artichoke puree and porcini mushroom foam. It was sensational. We shared the lamb casserole special and the mussels with pomme frites. The lamb dish was rich and scrumptious. I finished with two delicious flavors of gelato and hubby had the seasonal blueberry tart. Our dishes were beautifully displayed with fresh herbs, and other interesting sprigs of pine ....
Service was personable and thoughtful. I love that this restaurant uses locally foraged ingredients. The chef is innovative, and I wish him continued success.
This is an outstanding restaurant! From start to finish . The vegan lasagna was over the top delicious and the chef had foraged oyster mushrooms from the forest . Unbelievably delicious. It is the place to go in Flagstaff !
I was disappointed they did not have foie gras (which was shown in the Open Table menu) but the Beef Tartare was incredible and pretty big. Nice little restaurant and the service was terrific.
Incredibly solid food in a light and rustic atmosphere. Wait staff were knowledgeable and the owner stopped by our table. Excellent small plates that are locally source, where possible. Desserts and pastries are excellent and so is the wine list and cocktails. Interior is rustic farmhouse and open. It could be noisy if at capacity. We were there this past Saturday evening at 745 and only two other tables were occupied.
Amazing food and service! The owner greats most tables and the waitress creates craft cocktails.
Excellent!!!!! Wonderful food!!!! Hope they can expand to a larger venue which they so richly deserve!!!!
We enjoyed a fantastic lamb dish and grass-fed beef. The service was outstanding, the food delicious. It surprised us, given the strip mall look to the neighborhood, but we highly recommend the experience!
My husband and I went up to Flagstaff to celebrate my son's birthday with him. We enjoyed our dinner at Coppa Cafe. The menu was creative, had vegetarian options and delicious dishes. The delicious bread and salad with lemon vinaigrette dressing reminded us of France. we tried the soup of the day which was a garlic leek soup which was quite unique. My husband had the cod special which was also great and my son and I shared the vegetable lasagna. It came in a Le Cruset type pot, well baked with cheese, shredded carrots, and spinach. It was also creative, unique and very delicious. We topped off the meal with hazelnut homemade gelato and flourless chocolate cake. The owner and staff were all helpful and extremely nice. Can't wait to return for another great experience.
This was such an unexpected treat. A real gem with talented chefs who create original food with creative flare and delectable. A must to experience when in Flagstaff.
Outstanding as always. Original and delicious. One of our favorite restaurants anywhere. We drive an hour each way to come here for dinner and are never disappointed. Highly recommended!
Enjoyable evening with friends at this delicious and delightful restaurant. While this is not an inexpensive place, I felt that considering the quality and taste of the food, that it was worth the price. We are infrequently in Flagstaff but after our experience, this will be a must stop place when we return.
As always, the food and service was terrific. It was NAU graduation so the noise level was higher than usual.
Coppa is one of our favorite places to eat but not accommodating for large parties. Delicious food for sure. Unfortunately, we booked for ten at 7:00 pm and ended up with a discrepancy of seven for 7:00 pm. Staff made the change in error when confirming reservation. Overall friendly staff.
Excellent!!! Even the owner chef came by our table. The food was amazing, you feel like you’re in Europe. Make reservations!!! Desserts were delicious. We have nothing negative, only positives. Don’t let the store front fool you, the food is amazing in a cozy atmosphere. It is worth the money!
One of the most amazing plates, both flavor and presentation that I have EVER experienced in all my travels and to not have to pay a completely ridiculous amount. Somewhat on the pricier side but not outlandish. The chef even went above and beyond to prepare a unique vegan option entree for myself and my partner!
Everything was delicious.
Some of the most inventive (and delicious) cuisine you will find in AZ. Friendly and attentive staff who seem truly excited about the food. An experience worth seeking out.
Out of the nice places to go in Flagstaff, Coppa Cafe falls behind when compared to Josephines in everything but plating.
The cuisine was imaginative and well orchestrated, with intriguing ingredients. But, I cannot honestly say that the cost was justified; this is an expensive restaurant.
disappointed It was the worst French food I have ever had.
Not recommended for a Valentine’s Day date. Spending close to $250 should leave us feeling like a first class customer with a most flavorful experience. The service felt so rushed that any question or need from our multiple servers seemed like an inconvenience. The gratuity was automatically added, of course, so there was nothing we could do about that. Food lacked the wow factor.
We really wanted to love Coppa Cafe because we heard so many good things about it. We may give them another chance, just not for special occasions.
Valentine’s Day, more crowded than normal. It was a fixed menu ,but for us served as a sampler of their dishes. Service was good and not rushed, especially given the crowd.
Plan to go back and try some of their other dishes off the menu
