Copley's on Palm Canyon Ratings and Reviews
Everything was perfect, wine, starters, entree, dessert, service & setting. A bit more pricey than some places, but worth it. Definitely don't skip appetizers. They are small bites, but divine. I made 1 meal only of starters. Most diners casually dressed, but the restaurant could easily be for a special date or event.
We were so happy to finally dine at this beautiful and delicious restaurant. We had several
mis-haps before.... having to cancel our reservation - but this time was the charm and left us wanting many more meals there. We had the lamb and Barramundi fish -both equally delicious with outstanding sides of fries, parpadelle, and great wine too. Dessert was one of the best ever - the toffee and date stucky pudding with a dab of ice cream and whipped cream. YUM ! Can't wait to go back. It's worth the drive from L.A.
The bread was warm and tasty. The lobster ceviche appetizer was bland and disappointing. The Muscovy Duck entree was excellent. The Seared Ahi entree was very good (a bit too rare though.) The Basil Ice Cream with Lavender Pound Cake was excellent. The ambiance and service were excellent.
Very pricey but overall satisfying. Would eat here again!
Copley’s is our “must do” place when I n Palm Springs. From the first greeting you know you are in for a treat. Service done well and an atmosphere that never seems rushed. It’s dining in a by gone era with service that often seems gone as well. Reserve now.
I was so excited to go back to this wonderful restaurant but this experience was nothing like my first dining experience. Everything was perfect but our server was inattentive to us for the entire meal. He ruined a beautiful evening of celebration and I left frustrated and extremely disappointed. I should not have to request a good server when I make a reservation. I expect good service but it was severely lacking last night.
Excellent service and food. Lovely setting. Sat outside on a cool evening but was very comfortable because of the heaters. Waitress was excellent, very good recommendations and friendly and professional. Food was excellent. Not cheap, but probably not unreasonable for the area.
We first ate here 13 years ago, yet every time we passed through Palm Spring on a Sunday we were to early for dinner. This was a birthday dinner for me, so we drove 197 from Lake Havasu got a room and went for the most tasteful, elegantly and relaxing dining room . With a wonderful staff and a concerned manager/owner that only a great restaurant could have. My words cannot describe the experience, you have to try it yourself -- honestly.
Very romantic dining location on part of the Old Cary Grant Estate. There were a variety of dinner options plus a fully - stocked bar. Very Cody and easy to carry on a nice conversation among 4 guests. Centrally located in downtown town Palm Springs, California.
Guests were visiting from out of town and they were late getting in so we needed to change the time of our reservation and the staff at Copley's were very helpful. When we arrived, we were seated right away and our server was quick to introduce himself and share information about the specials for the evening. The food, the service and the wonderful outdoor seating created a memorable night out in Palm Springs!
Overall, it was an okay experience. For some reference, eating and drinking is a huge part of how I view “vacation success”. Given that we had made reservations as out of town guests to Palm Springs, I wish we had chosen differently — Mostly because the food was eh. The menu looks very appetizing, but we both felt the food fell quite short. The service was above average considering we had to send my mom’s steak back and the bartender basically gave me a pint glass of tequila as opposed to a cocktail. The atmosphere is fantastic though - beautiful lawn dining, fire pits, and great conversation. I would be willing to give it a second chance if I lived in PS, but will choose differently on my next trip.
Excellent restaurant. We go to Palm Springs for vacation a couple of times per year and this is always one of our must-visit places when we are in town. Greg B, the manager, does a fantastic job taking care of the restaurant. All of the wait staff is professional and courteous. The food is great; we had the Berkshire pork chop and Barramundi and both were perfectly cooked. No overcooked pork here! The lavender cake came out warm and was complimented by the basil ice cream. The wine list is extensive, and the Grey Goose martini and Manhattan were strong.
I can't see how anyone can post a negative review about Copley's. After at least 6 visits, we have yet to experience the slightest thing negative.
Tip: if you don't like to valet, and we don't, there is plenty of street parking in the area.
Make sure you make a reservation at least a week in advance during peak season!
Wonderful dining experience outdoors. Little white lights, fantastic food, drinks, service. We had the Barramundi fish and Ahi tuna special with scallop, champagne cocktails, and for dessert we had the chocolate soufflé and lemon pound cake. Delicious. Ate ever morsel of everything. Loved it.
