Copley's on Palm Canyon Ratings and Reviews
Copley's has been our favorite restaurant in Palm Springs since we moved here in 2005. We have seen many improvements since then and have always felt like family thanks to their wonder staff. The chef is one of the best in the valley. Greg is an outstanding host.
The consummate Palm Springs dining experience, you cannot find a prettier location to enjoy dinner. I always request an outside table, in Winter they have plenty of heaters but still wise to bring a sweater/jacket. The owners do an excellent job of keeping the menu fresh, but leave some old favorites on there for the frequent-guests who enjoy the cozy atmosphere and home-like feeling. Wine list is very good, a wide selection at all price points. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion or just getting together with old friends.
All 4 at our table are regulars here for years. Food & service is always outstanding and were happy to see there was a special on the menu we had not seen before: Boneless short ribs. Two of us tried it and it was as excellent as everything we've ever had before. Copley's has been and remains, our favorite restaurant in Palm Springs. You just can't beat it for the consistency of food, service and outdoor dining.
5 Stars! Thanks for doing it right. The roasted butternut squash & date salad had awesome flavors which complement each other for a refreshing taste. I had the duck which was served with duck bacon and foie gras which was excellent. The duck breast was meaty, no fat, no skin, and cooked perfectly. Nice wine list, had champagne at the bar, Rombauer Chardonnay by the glass and Treanna Cab/Syrah with dinner. After dinner we had a chocolate martini by the fire pit. It was perfect and doesn't get any better than this, I can't wait to go back.
My girlfriend had the sun her duck back and she got the wreck of lamb instead and said it tasted very well I had to special pork chop and it was okay. I have to say the service was above reproach. I would have loved to have seen a different type of menu because nothing on the menu seem to arouse my interest. It was an okay experience I think a little bit overpriced.
This restaurant has always been on our "favorites list" but last night was a little lack luster. I had a party of 26 there last November for my birthday and it was amazing and memorable. The food a couple of night was good but not "wow". The lamb was very nice and cooked perfectly but the duck wasn't as we remembered from past visits. Not as flavorful and odd texture/color. Also a tad disappointed that they don't change up the menu after taking a month or more off for their summer break. Note "value stars" would go up in direct coronation to my "food stars".
My husband and I ate at Copley's two years ago for my birthday and once again decided to go to Palm Springs for this birthday so we went back. And so glad we did. The ambience is lovely. Our waiter just enough presence without too much. And every bite of food was yummy - from ahi taco to salads to steak and yet more delicious ahi. I might improve on the bread a bit and go for crispy vs soft and dense but that's a pretty picky mention and who eats the bread anyway (we do!) And besides all that the gentleman who was the manager/owner (not sure and don't remember his name) remembered us from two years ago. Doesn't get nicer than that. OK maybe the homemade basil ice cream with candle. So thanks Copley's and see you again soon!
We have been to Coply's several times and it was-OK but for this reservation the food (steaks) (one filet & a New York)where not good, in fact poor. When you are paying over $100.00 for a meal, at those prices it BETTER be good. Sorry I have had a better steak at Sizdler. The other two people at our the table, one pork chop, way over done and dry, the other a New York was like mine, tough with a lot of grisel. The cold potatoe soup was not COLD--in fact worm. The only thing that was good was the desert and the wait staff. Also the restaurant was very worm ( it had been a very hot day in Palm Springs, and the air conditioner was not doing the job. Not enough for me to spent $200.00 for dinner.
This was truely a great find. Planned on going for years and somehow never made it. That ends now. We are in the process of moving to the PS area and will probably from this time forward, celebrate our special events here. Thank you and see you in the near future
Copleys is one of our favorite restaurants in Palm Springs and our most recent visit contributed to support that fact. Our server, Alexandra, was truly phenomenal greeting us with a genuinely warm smile. Alexandra was a fount of knowledge about the menu and assisted us in making our selections after hearing our food preferences. She truly made our experience a stellar one due to her professionalism, attention to detail, and engaging personality all of which combined to create a sense for everyone at our table that we were well cared for. Our meals were exceptionally well prepared and the duck beast, ahi tuna, short ribs were standouts. The setting at Copleys is romantic and relaxed with incredible mountain views from the patio. For excellent food, service and ambience, Copleys is a great choice.
Just divine!!!! Halibut was moist and perfectly cooked. Loved the lobster potato. Duncan is the best---took care of every need. Lovely outdoor setting. Able to have a conversation without loud noise! Bravo to the Chef and crew for delicious and artful fare! My first time but definitely not my last!
Nice, relaxing atmosphere, good food, great drinks. Service was exceptional. Staff was attentive but didn't hover. Weekly menu afforded various options for appetizers and entrees...something for everyone. Ahi taco appetizer was fabulous! Portions are perfect. Didn't leave feeling overly stuffed. We didn't feel rushed. Recommend outdoor seating. A bit spendy but worth it, especially for special occasions or a fun night out.
