We have enjoyed Copley’s for quite a few years, but our recent meal was mediocre. I think the menu is over-due for a total overhaul. It was nearly 100 degrees in the evening and most of the entrees were not seasonally appropriate. They look and sounded heavy and somewhat tired. We consider this restaurant a “ step up” from a regular weeknight out, but it didnt present itself as that this time. Very disappointing.

We went for restaurant week with the fixed price menu and it was just not good. Have been here before and it was a lovely ambience but a lot of $$$ for about half excellent and half average dishes. We were excited to go back for $59 and allegedly get regular items off the menu. I certainly hope that wasn’t true because out of the four of us the only dish we liked and thought was normal quality from the menu was the Caesar salad. My duck was tough and bland, and the pasta was over cooked and had very little flavor despite one large lovely scallop. The desert was meh, and you had no choice. The bottle of wine we wanted was out of stock, and the humorless waiter tried to upsell us on a $200 bottle of Chardonnay…which did make us laugh. As restaurant week diners they treated us like the ugly stepchildren and had us up against a wall where there was no view, which was a shame because each of us had dressed up and still spent over $100 out the door for a truly mediocre and forgettable meal. I had been bragging up the experience to my cousin before we took him, and was pretty embarrassed. Not sure we will be back.

We were underwhelmed by our experience at this restaurant. Parking wasn’t available at the restaurant, so we had to park a few blocks away on the street and hoof it to the restaurant. Parking is very limited. No valet parking. Service was good. Food was somewhat eclectic. Good for some perhaps but a little over the top for our liking. It was the first day of Restaurant Week so the menu was fixed. Annoyed that they charge $8.00 for 4 dinner rolls! It’s not the money, it’s the pettiness of charging for bread. The atmosphere under the trees looked very nice, however we were seated as far away as possible next to the service stand in what appeared to be the dog park. Dog water bowels were at several of the tables around us, some with dog and sime without. This was a birthday dinner for my wife that was indicated on our reservation however nothing was acknowledged at all. Didn’t even ask if we were celebrating anything. Disappointing !he chilled soup was inedible. The Duck was extremely gamey! Very disappointed! Unfortunately we cannot recommend this establishment.

Everything was wonderful, except the parking! There was none. They used to have valet, but no more. Their lot is very small and the large empty lot next door was inaccessible, had to park a few blocks away. Otherwise, great evening.

We sat 20 minutes before we asked for our server. Once the server came, he took our drink orders and then wanted to immediately take our food orders. We asked for more time to be able to enjoy our drinks. Our salads were delicious; however, I found my barramundi fatty. Copleys is also charging for a bread basket and when we ordered it, there were only 4 very small pieces of bread. The table location we had was ok, but the chairs were too low for the table. It has been awhile since we dined at Copleys and we we’re looking forward to it, but it didn’t seem to have the charm and overall service we anticipated.

Restaurant week review. I'd expect a restaurant to put their best foot forward to lure new patrons during restaurant week. Copley's did not disappoint. I've lived here for 7 years and yet to visit although it's always been on our list. Restaurant week was our excuse to finally visit. Every course was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Kudos to Copley's. They have a great reputation and following such that they probably didn't need to participate in restaurant week, but did anyway. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Totally overpriced and underwhelming. Four of us had a $400 plus dinner this last Saturday night, the start of Palm Springs restaurant week . The price wouldn’t have been an issue if the food had not been so totally mediocre . We all ordered Caesar Salads that were just so so. My wife and daughter ordered the Barimundi entree which in truth we should have been sent back … it was simply flavorless and unappealing. The $10 surcharge for a bread basket was simply déclassé . If you really need the extra revenue them amortize it over the food Items. We had several expensive meals in the Coachella Valley last week and all but the meal at Copley’s were enjoyable and well worth the expense. The outdoor setting here is lovely but if this is truly one of the valley’s best restaurants….then please consider driving to Los Angeles to experience the real thing .

We have dinner at Copley’s once a year. We’ve always had beautiful experiences. Last night was a notable exception. Service was overwhelmed. Meal requests went unanswered. Pork Schnitzel was undercooked. It’s hard to accept from a place with legendary reputation. I think it was our last visit. We understand everyone has an off day. It was disappointing and not a manager in sight to support the service team.

Our waiter, Chad, was a truly seasoned professional. He provided very timely service without being ever present and came by our table when we needed service, as if he intuited our needs. He was also, funny, charming and interesting, making the meal a unique experience. The meal and service were therefore exceptional.

Always love this place, although it's "special occasions" on my budget. Love their combinations and preparation. Instead of my usual favorites, we both had one of the specials which were amazing! Wait staff was attentive and friendly amd the experience among the best I've ever had. Only "downside" is that with the new ecinomy and inflation, they charged for bread. Even so, the rolls were a delicacy and worth the price.

Imagine my surprise when the hostess personally welcomed me back using my first name. I have been to Copley's a few times in the last 12 months but never have I been greeted so warmly at any other restaurant. That was just the beginning of a magical evening. Our server sensed that we weren't in a hurry and perfectly orchestrated the pace of drinks, salads, entrees and wine. The roasted beet salad was true to its name -- not a lot of lettuce (I don't think there was any) but perfectly roasted red and orange beets with a wonderful but not overpowering sauce. I can say the same thing about the duck entree -- medium rare and perfectly executed. It's rare to have such a complete dining experience where you're happy to let the establishment guide your evening since they truly know what they are doing. Stellar.

Our second trip back, and blessed to have the same server, Chad. Chad is like a docent at a culinary museum, celebrating the consumption of art. And our barramundi fish was artful—the accompanying farro, pesto, roasted Campari tomato, asparagus—every bite was different. An Aviation on the side, and a special chocolate soufflé for my wife’s birthday. Lots of fellow diners, well dressed—a real energy, and a must return to enjoy an evening with Chad’s charming service. Bravo!
