Another delicious meal! Enjoyed St Paddy’s Day sitting at a window table watching the Burlingame Ave scene.
Having dinner with my neighbors and their two kids. We all enjoyed our meals. Had a great table by the window. Food was excellent and service was great. Everybody enjoyed their meal. My husband (now deceased) and I used to have breakfast, lunch and dinner very often as well as visits for coffee and delicious pastries. Great place.
Service is excellent as always and food is very good, hearty and homey. We used to love coming here but now we are very sorry to see that prices have been raised significantly and the formerly included soup or salad with entrees and specials has been discontinued without any logical explanation. Note to management: the prices shown on your Open Table menu are the old prices and you still indicate the soup or salad is included. The prices of the entrees my husband and I had this visit have increased by 21% and 32% (Frikadella and Chicken Schnitzel). The food is still great with ample portions but there is no new value or improvement in the food, decor or experience, considering the huge price increase and exclusion of the first course. I would completely understand raising prices OR eliminating the first course but to do both seems overly agressive.
Prices have been raised, and the option of soup or dinner salad included with dinner is no longer an option.
Good middle of the road food and service. Conveniently located.
Disappointed for the first time ever. The salmon special was over-cooked and dry with very boring tarter sauce instead of the usual nice sauce. Is there a new cook? The food just didn’t seem as great as usual. Salad or soup is no longer included with the specials but they are included with “regular” entrees. That doesn’t make any sense when the specials cost $8 - $10 more. Service was very good as always but this meal was disappointing.
This is a gem in the neighborhood! Usually known for the outstanding bakery, also offers a delicious lunch and dinner menu. I had the chicken fettucine with an amazing sauce! Lots of locals like the relaxing atmosphere.
We are return happy customers and love this restaurant!
Although we have bought items from the bakery many times over the years, first time we ever had dinner at Copenhagen. Food was excellent and pricing was reasonable. Service was okay; would be better if staff was increased. Except for having assistance clearing the table, waitress had no help for our party of 7. Water was not refilled, even after one member of our party accidentally spilled theirs.
We have lunch and dinner at Copenhagen quite often.
The food is consistently good, service attentive.
Food is served at the right temperature, the vegetables are fresh.
Copenhagen is not fancy (meaning not stuffy) and not too expensive.
We enjoy Copenhagen.
Have eaten here often and the quality has always been consistent and enjoyable! Will be back again soon.
This time the Copenhagen restaurant gave me the worst possible experience. I had the reservation made and arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes prior to my reservation of 6:30 pm.
The hostess Nuri took me to the table in the back. My friend had not arrived as yet, I asked for table in the front by the window but she refused to give the table to me. She said the party was coming. The entire section was empty except the middle row for six people which she was expecting. My friend arrived and saw me sitting at the back and did not like to sit there. The hostess reluctantly gave us the table for two by the window. We finished the dinner and the front area was still empty except table for six in the middle.
The hostess Nuri was arrogant and rude.
This has been a favorite restaurant since Copenhagen began serving dinners. The food is consistently good & is better than most restaurants on the Avenue even though it is mostly a bakery by day and restaurant by night. The servings are generous and the food always tastes so fresh.
You can always count on Copenhagen for good food and service. Food is always fresh. Great kids menu too.
Always a favorite with consistently good food and great service.
Always a wonderful dining experience at Copenhagen. Never disappoints.
Food is solid here..bakery is good , great pies
Service is efficient
Always good food and good value. Service is good as well.
Food is always good. Great at lunch for a salad or sandwich. Dinner, pasta or evening special ,always fresh food.
Been to this restaurant many times and have always enjoyed the meal. There are a group of us that go once a month for dinner for many months and never once have had a complaint. Great for lunch, also.
This is my go to place in the neighborhood for homey beef dishes.
This is a great neighborhood restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Fresh food, great salads and always good service.
My my never get tired of this place. The only place in Burlingame you can have a quiet conversation over dinner. Delicious and memorable Chinese chicken salad and so fresh veggie soup.
Great, As Always! My mother and I eat there often, and we love it. The food is really delicious.
We have eaten here many times for lunch and dinner. Never had a bad experience or meal.
the food is very eye appealing and tasty. Our waitress for dinner was efficient and unobtrusive. Knew her menu and friendly.
Great bakery & some Danish specialties.
What a pleasure to dine here.
Great service with dimple and delicious comfort food!
We love the copenhagen restaurant, the young women from Peru are so friendly and ingratiating.
Service is slow and they have increased the prices on the menu but have not changed on the internet menu.
Presentation of main course was excellent - food was nicely prepared and enjoyable. The desserts were right from the bakery case, including the muffin papers. Presentation could have been better than just taking baked good out of case and put on plate.
Good food and good service. Parking was a bit difficult, but expected on a Saturday night.
Very Good, As Always! I eat there often, and it is always good. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. I recommend it!
We had a group of 6 plus one under 4. They were very accommodating and brought our orders quickly. Everything was piping hot and delicious. I had the chicken schnitzel, which I've never had before, and it was delicious. What I liked was they didn't over-fill the plate with the sides. The served it with polenta and roasted veggies. The polenta was outstanding. My husband had the Chinese chicken salad and really liked it. He's really picky so for him to say he enjoyed it and he would come back again, means it's really good. My kids got the kids pasta and they enjoyed theirs as well. I ordered a slice of the princess cake for dessert (not on the menu - but because they had it in the bakery, it was available). It's my favorite and it didn't disappoint. Upon arriving and sitting down, I ordered a Diet Coke and then proceeded to spill the whole thing on the floor. They quickly cleaned it up, got a new high chair (no, my kid wasn't in it) and a new diet Coke all within minutes. Very impressed and appreciative.
the veal was not the best but everything else was good. and very nice to be right next door to their good bakery
I've noticed that on the last two occasions, that we women diners are given less than desirable table choices, even with reservations, and we are rushed throughout the meal. There is no reason or excuse for this. I love everything on the menu, but I might choose elsewhere based on the service.
Restaurant is much quieter during dinner time than hustle/bustle of breakfast and lunch times. Great for conversation. Restaurant's location was chosen for convenience of members of our group, halfway between San Francisco and Los Altos. Parking more available at dinnertime than earlier in day.
We love this restaurant and have been going for years. The chicken schnitzel is the best! Everything is always piping hot and delicious. Family favorite!
Copenhagen wins again!! I was craving some serious comfort food, because it has been so windy and cold in Burlingame this winter. So I tried Frikadeller, which was absolutely perfect!! The meatball, the potatoes, with the sublime gravy was delicious. My boyfriend selected the Shrimp Scampi and he loved it!!
Of course, the desserts were excellent as to be expected. I ordered a large Hot Chocolate , while my partner in crime selected the Hot Fudge Sundae. Both were beyond my wildest expectation. Yes, I did partake in a bit of the sundae.
As to the Hot Chocolate, there is only one other place I know in San Francisco- Boulette's Larder (SF Farmer's Market at the Ferry Plaza Bldg.)that can hold a candle to this. Decadent and delicious, in a most delightful way.
The location is great for people watching if you sit by the front windows.
Great food and awesome desserts.
Our favorite, consistently excellent.
