We were really hoping for a spectacular dinner was great service. What we received was an average dinner with average service which was disappointing. The food really wasn’t anything special for instants my redfish was dry and not well prepared and the shrimp in my wife’s pusstasted frozen as opposed to fresh.return
The food and service were excellent. I've eaten at Copelands for years in a number of places. This one in the Hilton Hotel at Southlake Town Square Dallas is probably the best one that I've been in.
Great food omg everything we order was delicous
I love this place, I took my mom on Mothers Day and she loved it. So for her birthday she asked me to take her back and once again the service and food was amazing to say the least and we will definitely be back. It's always a great experience every time I go.
Staffing was lacking, they were out of certain food items and overall experience was only marginal. They were turning customers away stating that they were booked but we had a 6:00 seating and it appeared that they were closing as we were leaving. Not a good experience.
I made the reservation for 2 pm Christmas Day. When my 82 yr old mother and I got to the restaurant we were told the reservation was for 2:30. Not a big deal. Before we could take a seat in the bar we were told a table was available. We say at least 10 minutes before a server asked if we had been helped. We said no and were told someone would be with us soon. After about 15 more minutes another server asked if we had been helped. Again we said no. This server brought water and menus. 15 minutes later a third server took our order. And then the wait for the food started. People seated after us were finishing their meals before we our food arrived. My mother ordered the crab cake and shrimp alfredo - almost no sauce on the pasta and crab cakes were dry. I ordered the filet cooked medium and the steak came very rare. And the coffee was cold.
It was overpriced bad food and worse service - $80 + tip. And I only tipped because it was Christmas Day.
I booked a reservation to have Christmas Dinner. Thought they would have their everyday menu but instead they had a Christmas menu. No problem because I had oyster dressing and gumbo.
Great food & service.
It was very good. We have been a number of times on special occasions and it is always very good.
Fabulous meal. Our party of twelve for a birthday celebration was offered the private dining room! Orlando, our waiter was amazing .. accurate, efficient, pleasant, tolerant of children etc. Jonathan, Manager was very attentive. Delicious food. Would highly recommend.
Menu is authentic cajun. Awesome.
It was a mediocre dining experience. Anything that I might complain about was a management problem and not the staff. The bar was out of 3 wines that we ordered. The bartender was sweet and felt badly but she is clearly not responsible for ordering and stocking. The waitstaff was very overwhelmed and working very hard but left us unattended most of the meal. Our server was apologetic and felt badly that she wasn’t very attentive but we totally got that they were short staffed, again ...management problem. Bar drinks took forever, 20 minutes to get a drink and we were done eating when they finally arrived.....short staffed, management problem. It is the weekend before Christmas!!!! Staff your damn hotel!!! Salads came out with entree, waters were empty the entire meal. I’d expect quite a bit better from this location. 3 stars is just because of how hard these poor kids worked. Really closer to 2.
Birthday for a friend and Christmas
I don't know much about New Orleans seafood but the food here is really tasty. Service was exceptional, our waitress was attentive and patient with all of our requests. Planning on returning soon.
We were first-timers here. Food was delicious and service excellent. We will be back.
The bread pudding is an attraction to us for the special birthday guest in our group. The restaurant was out of bread pudding. This was on a Sun evening, early and the place was not even busy. The service is routinely a problem at Copeland's - slow and in attentive. It proved the same this time, but we wen it knowing that. The manager promised free desert next time, but we found that tacky was to recover from the situation.
Service was good. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. We use to frequent the Copeland's on Belt Line many years ago. He was able to get the kitchen to make my entree the way it use to be. Very quiet. I would go back.
Great food. Great time.
Good as always although they were out of several things.
Was our first visit
Food was great
Will come back again
AWESOME food, especially for a hotel restaurant. Hilton got thos one right. Orlando is the bomb!
This unique restaurant is one of my favorites because of its New Orleans theme. First class service and sauces are why you return again and again.
Took my Brother and his girlfriend and they LOVED it, especially the blackened catfish and thecrawfish bread appetizer.
Will be back
Very disappointing experience, the food was bland, (not sure how that happens at a Cajun place?!?) poorly prepared, did not taste fresh, but, the biscuits were good. I don't believe that is enough for me to ever go back.
The service was excellent from the reservation desk through the meal.
I shared my birthday with my sister here this past Saturday 8-26-17 and the Food, Drinks and Service was Excellent. Most of our dinner guest drove 45 mins to an hour to get here and it was Well Worth It!!! John Paul was our server and he was fabulous!!!
Food was good, service sucked
The flavor of the New Orleans dish was awsome. However, the fresh water shrimp does not compliment the dish. I would pay extra for fresh gulf shrimp . The fried catfish had a fabaulious flavor and texture.
