Enjoyed all their grilled meats and tapas. All grilled meats are perfectly cooked and seasoned.Amazed by the grilled pineapple cinnamon .
Enjoyed my dinner so much.
We were disappointed in our experience at Copacabana. My friends had all raved about what a great experience it was going to be. This was a surprise party for my boyfriend's birthday. After being there close to one hour, we had to advise our server that we still had not been served/offered any meat. When the meat did come around, we found we weren't getting the variety of cuts/types as advertised (out of the 16 advertised we maybe had 8). I will be back to try Copacabana again but not likely to this location.
Initially the table that was reserved for us was by a window which had a terrible view of the band and the "stage/area" the dancers would be. We requested to move and the hostesses were able to accommodate and we only waited 15 minutes for the next set of tables to clear. I had called ahead in regards to pescatarian rate but received different information when I dined. Cleared up after I spoke with the general manager. Food service was slow at first, then sped up, and then declined again at the end. One member of our party ordered a Canadian and was brought a Stella instead. Another of our guests ordered a beer which was also incorrect. Appreciated the special food requests for one guest who preferred "well done" meat. Grilled pineapple and the mashed potatoes were delicious! Other birthday celebrants had HBD sung to them by the live band however, our birthday celebrant did not receive the same treatment. There were two female and two male dancers the Friday night we were there. Their performance was fun and entertaining. The entertainers were also friendly and allowed us to take pictures with them. The band played nice background music. This location is lower key than the downtown location - be prepared for cramped bathroom stalls. Free parking after 7 PM is a plus.
We went for my dads 60th - I didn't even know there would be a show with dinner - so that was a pleasant surprise!
The performers were awesome and made the dinner much more fun.
Service was great. Attentive and polite/processional staff. The walk-up buffet was full of healthy and delicious options to counter the endless flow of all you can eat, cooked -to-perfection meats !
This was my first time going and I will never ever go back. My boyfriend made a reservation for us and they did not want to service us and started with dessert to try to push us out. The buffet food was not replenished and all dried up and tasted terrible only thing to eat was white rice. We only got to try 3 of the meat options and that's only because we asked for them to bring it out. They were out of the good items no seafood available and everything was salty and covered in garlic. Worst experience of my life and I will not be returning. I work as a executive chef and everyone I know will be told do not attend this restaurant.
We had been walking by Copacabana often as my son lives in the area. We finally decided to go for his birthday. Only disappointment was not going sooner. The food yes was fantastic but the service is over the top. The staff are so friendly and out going they seem to really enjoy their job and that makes your experience there so much better. Would highly recommend. I think there are enough items on the buffet to satisfy any vegetarian and the grilled pineapple was to die for.
We booked ahead of time it was for a Bday...with 4 teenager kids...and got sat to the table closest to the door and right in front of the music...once the music started we had to yell at each other to talk...and this was a time we were looking forward to seeing these friends we don't see often...I told the waitress...as there were tables further back...but she didn't do anything about it...also every time the door opened we froze...didn't plan on warm clothes going to a restaurant...also every time we wanted we had to try to find out waitress to order...would have preferred her a couple of times over our time there to come by and check on us...we have been to other locations of yours and never had this issue...and while I understand that tip is usually charged for a party of 8...I didn't feel it was justified at all for this experience...but had no choice but to pay it...
Nice place but I won’t come with my kids again , my 13 years old and my 6 years old didn’t touch the food , they are both picky eater 😊
I thought to through this in here but of course I don’t blame the restaurant for that
Venue needs a major facelift.
I absolutely loved loved LOVED this restaurant. The food is amazing and the service was excellent. The atmosphere and entertainment made me feel as if I was in Brazil. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.
I came here with some friends for my husbands birthday and we loved the food and the vibe of the restaurant, however the seating was awkward and not very spacious for people to be walking around you during the entire time. We were sat right by the buffet which was nice, however behind us were plates for people to grab and out friends felt a bit cramped. Unfortunately, there were no other tables we could move with more space.
We had a great time and loved the food and staff but the seating was strange and for a place where servers are walking around people with hot food, a more spacious seating area may be a good idea!
Not well managed, kept getting scrapes or wouldn't get a server to come by for a long time until I complained about it. Serving was also unorganized, they came with deserts before any meat came through and 'requested meat' would take upto 30mins + reminders to show up at the table. The entertainment is almost non-existent compared to the downtown location. There isn't much for atmosphere, tables are tightly placed, interior decor isn't much better than most low end restaurants ... overall for celebrations or dates this is not the copa location that you want to be at. This location really needs investment/ new management.
Most terrible experience ever, I have always heard good things about Copacabana, but this time it was completely unacceptable. I have scheduled a table to celebrate my birthday with my friends on Saturday night, it is my first experience at Copacabana and I told my friends we will have a blast together. They were looking forward to it since Tuesday and have drove all the way from Waterloo and Buffalo to celebrate with me. I was so excited. On Saturday, they have came all the way from different cities and we were about to meet up, I called Copacabana at Eglinton to confirm, however I was "just" informed that their grill has broken down and the appointment has been cancelled. I was speechless, I was planning to celebrate my birthday with my friends and they drove hours to try this amazing restaurant. No one has informed us. I was unhappy but I still speak nicely with the Manager, Nira, to see if we can work something out, unfortunately the other locations are full. Disappointed, I have to call all my friends to cancel our dinner plan, it was the worst birthday dinner in my life. Nira promised to call me back on Monday but I still haven't heard back from her, the service is terrible and disgusting.
1) No one has contacted us in regards to cancelling the booking until I proactively called, we wasted my precious birthday night and disappointment along with my friends
2) I was promised to hear back from the management on Monday and however until now I still haven't heard back.
My booking was on march 31, 2018 @ 7:30, you have my contact info. My name is Jason and I'm more than happy to share my experience with everyone.
Food and service was outstanding. The person who processed our payment (wasn’t our server) expressed disappointment at our 18% tip. (Table of 2). Really tacky and unnecessary.
Absolutely fantastic dining experience. The servers were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had the opportunity to taste all the types of meat. They had wonderful suggestions and were an absolute pleasure.
Fully recommend this all-you-can-meat restaurant!
Excellent service and food
I found the food salty in general. Everything else was okay.
I always love the atmosphere and the food!! The entertainment on the weekends is amazing.
I’ll be back
The food and service were great. Thank you again for a lovely meal
Excellent dining experience as always. Delicious food and great service. Definitely a great dining experience in Toronto.
Not a lot of options for a Brazilian BBQ Steakhouse. The buffet had a poor selection and not very appealing. Minimum space between tables (I guess to maximize the till). Not worth the money.
Service, on the other hand, was great. Friendly, accommodating and looking to help at any point.
We love coming here, the food and service is ALWAYS great. One of our favourite restaurants in the city. Worth the price, stay the two hours and get loads of meat. Take your time here, don't rush.
Very good food, the 2-hour limit is annoying...
The food was what I expected and good as usual, but the service was deplorable. Will not return to this location.
Service was great and so was the food . The grilled pineapple was fantastic !
I attended here for my father's 70th birthday. Asked for wall side seat which had better lighting as my father wanted. They refused at first and only moved us to another table ( still not wallside) when I asked to see the manager. Waitress said they had reservation of 19 who specified for the wall seat. I watched for an hour and a half I was there the wallside tables stayed vacated for other then 2 different tables which were definitely not group of 19. For 70 dollars a meal and a special occasion such as my father's 70th birthday, you'd think they'll at least give you the unoccupied table you ask for. not at Copa Cabanas Eglinton.
Nice food and drinks didnt wait for long time to get our table even though we reach 20 mints early
From the outside, you could walk by and miss this restaurant very easily. Don't be fooled by its simple exterior... inside is very nicely decorated (though the tables were perhaps a little tight together).
The wait staff were fantastic, buffet filled the gaps and the skewers/selection of meats were fantastic and cooked to perfection!
First time here and it was Absolutely amazing. Friend had recommended for my birthday best choice ever
Had a reservation for 8PM and was seated at 8:40PM while watching people come in after us getting seated while we stood and waited since there was nowhere to sit at the front. Once we were seated the table was dirty and had used cutlery from the guests before us. The table was in a brightly lit corner right beside a cold window and to top it off it wobbled so much that our drinks would spill everywhere. We asked for another table and 15 minutes later they moved us. The floors were very beat up and dirty that my wife slipped and almost fell on her way to the buffet. The buffet was a basic salad bar with not much choice. Very unimpressive. Bathrooms were filthy. One of the meat servers was quite rude. The only good thing about this place was the meat, if you could flag the servers down. There are many other Brazilian Steakhouses around that I can choose from. I will never return to this place.
We always have a great time. Atmosphere and service are amazing. Highly recommend.
The meats are very tasty. I like medium rare. If you're more of a medium or well done kind of person, this is not for you. The meat portions are incredibly skimpy, basically 1-2 bites per serving, but they came around often enough that you weren't waiting long. The buffet table could use improvement. It is very limited.
We were celebrating my husbands birthday. The servers could not have been more rude. The service was incredibly slow. We waited 20+ mins for our bill and before it arrived another server asked us to leave because there were people waiting for our table. We've been multiple times but we won't be in a rush to get back.
Food and service were both very good, lots of choices with the skewers of meat, I would go back for sure.
The hostess at the door was awesome! She was very accommodating and pleasant.
There was only one server I think so it was a bit hard to order drinks. But the food was good and the atmosphere was really nice too. I wouldn’t go too often as it’s quite pricey, but for a special occasion I think it’s worth it.
Make sure you make a reservation beforehand, it is a busy place .
Valentine is very special day to us so we made a decision to choose Copacabana as we had a great experience with the branch at Niagara Fall. The service was poor as all kind of meet were raw and waitress was rude to our family.
My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day dinner and we had a great time! The entertainment was definitely the highlight of the evening - there was an acoustic guitar player /singer who played a great selection of songs throughout dinner, which really set the mood for a fun night. I settled for a ginger ale and my boyfriend ordered a white wine, but there was a mix-up as the waitress thought he was asking for a white sangria - we were situated right in front of the performer so it was hard to hear ourselves and the servers. When we mentioned that she mixed up the order she didn't really apologize, but my boyfriend just took the drink anyways. The food was pretty good, but definitely pricey. The buffet had just the right amount of selection and the quality of the food was a solid 7/10. The quality of the meats really shows why people pay $50 per head. The meats were all served hot and right at the table side and were all seasoned very well. My only complaint was that the portions vary on how the server cuts the meat and how much the server still has on the stick. Another issue we had was that there was no clear or consistent manner in which the meats were served. We sometimes had meats coming one after another and at one point had it be so long as 15 minutes between servings. When the dancers are performing all service to the tables stops (which makes sense) but we found that after the show it took a while for the service to pick up again. We mentioned it to the waitress who apologized as soon we mentioned that our table was being ignored by the meat servers. I can definitely understand and appreciate them prioritizing the tables with newcomers, but I just didn't see or understand the system in place for serving the tables. All in all, this was a great night with really great food. Understandably it was a busy night for everyone and I think the staff really pulled through considering the craziness. We would probably come back again, but maybe avoid holidays
They upped the price for Valentine’s Day without telling people beforehand and also overbooked completely so when we showed up on time for our reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes. the server was all over the place and I felt the meats weren’t being distributed evenly and properly. Also the parking area and construction of where this copabana is located is a disaster.
Went with boyfriend for Valentine’s Day. Was put on a table near the door. Felt that the environment was crowded. As people were huddled beside my table and people would keep the door open, so it was cold. Also the hostesses were blocking my table and the tables behind me view during the performances. Also felt that the meat were coming inconsistently. Asked several times for the salmon, shrimp and pineapple if they are coming as they didn’t come to my table. They didn’t come and would go to other tables near me, and would try to call and they said be right back. First time at this location, been to the one in downtown and Vaughn. The food/meat came various times as I tried everything. This location wasn’t able to try everything as they missed my table and were inconsistent/ unavailable.
