Copacabana Brazilian Steak House - Niagara Falls Ratings and Reviews
Site confirmed our 7pm reservation and stated table would be held for 15mins. We were running behind due to a construction detour and parking issue. When we arrived at 7:15pm, the hostess abruptly told us we were late and our table was given away at 7:10pm. I apologized for our tardiness but explained that I understood we had a 15 minute buffer. The hostess flatly advised me ‘it is 7:15’ to which I replied ‘then technically we’re still within that time frame?’ She glared at me and stated ‘you will have to wait for another table’ and turned away from me. The second hostess over compensated and gave me other options in a more welcoming tone. Even my 10 year old step son asked what was wrong as ‘the hostess seemed mad’.
Visited Niagra Falls for a quick getaway with my wife. I had a resevation, so I didn't have to wait for my table. Our table was squished between several other couples who all seemed as uncomfortable as us. The buffet had several options, but none of it was good. My wife made several trips up there hoping she would find something she liked, but was unsuccessful. For the first 20 minutes, we were offered meat twice. Everyone in our area watched as the servers walked past us constantly to take the skewers of meat to the large table next to us that seemed to be getting everything. After about a half hour, the Manager asked us how we were doing and we explained our situation, which he fixed. The food started coming more often, but that's when we realized that the food wasn't even good. We tried every cut of meat and none of it was good. Was not worth the money.
Food was great. Waitress was terrible. As soon as we arrived she was pushy. She thought out reservation was at 6pm and was upset we arrived late. Which we didn't. Out reservation was for 6:15pm. She proceeded to tell us that even though we were late there is a 2 hour limit and that we had to leave at 8pm because she had the table reserved for 8 already. I corrected her and showed her my email confirmation from open table for 6:15pm and gave me a look of disgust and said oh I'll be right back to grab your drinks. At 7:40pm while we were still eating she began to ask is how we were going to divide the bill (we were a party of 10 celebrating a birthday) I had to ask another server if they did anything for the birthday girl who was celebrating 50 years because our waitress didn't noti notice the crown and boa she was wearing with a big 50 on it. That waitress did. I again reminded her that we were still earing and that we had the table until 8:15pm and she just left. At 8:05pm I asked her for the corn bread we never received and she said she would get us some. She left and returned at 8:10pm with our bills and no corn bread. I accepted the bill bur asked her again for the bread and she said it was coming. She left again and another girl proceeded to take payment. When she returned she brought our table of 10 four breads. We left promisong never to return to the Niagara location again.
Service was beyond bad .... food was ok buffet had cold dishes that really should be served hot... the hot dishes looked really old and dry. The music is so loud you can’t talk. The waitress well she shouldn’t be a waitress. Meat was all very rare which my hubby is not a fan of. No option to get a different temp on the meat. That said the meat was all well seasoned and good. Drinks were over priced and weak. Won’t be back.
Copacabana offers a smaller, less formal, friendlier and less expensive alternative for Brazilian steakhouse fare. For locals, the deal is quite good particularly mid-week. If you want to be able to hear yourself think, definitely go mid-week; if you want samba dancers, live music and loads of noise, the weekend is for you. Either way the food is great (some sides are kind of ordinary, but there are always a number of really good ones), the rotisserie meats and grilled pineapple are fabulous.
Arrived to hostesses drinking Tim Horton's coffee while trying to find us a table. We had a reservation, but they were to busy chatting with each other to listen to us.They sat us outside on the patio (end of Oct).We asked to sit inside, they said 'oh those are for reserved people only'. She then proceeded to sit us next to the live band, still on the patio, our friends commented it felt like we were at a cafeteria.I asked to sit inside and she said there were no tables and we should have reserved.I said I DID reserve a table for 5pm.She walked away from me.Another server walked by,asked to speak to the manager,in which he said they were fully booked and can't put us inside.I explained I made a reservation and his reply was I am shocked you got a reservation for 4 people.(We've been there MANY times and booked online for a table~first time with a problem). He said will see 'what he can do'.He lead us to a booth on the upper level, that was really for 2 people,so 4 of us were squished into a booth. We asked to move to a table and he said they are for people who reserve.I said we DID reserve. But he said that's all he has.All those empty tables that we walked past, remained empty during our dinner. Our waitress was ok,do not know her name as she did not tell us.The meat server (Brian bearded guy)was the BEST out of the entire experience. He made sure we had meats, kept asking what else we would like to bring out.He was on par with everything, unlike our beginning experience. We spent $300+ for the 4 of us in the restaurant. However, the next morning,I received an email from open table reservations saying that we MISSED our reservation.I was livid.IF the front hostesses weren't so busy drinking their Tim's coffee and chatting when guests arrive, none of this would have occurred.I have sent off an email to the Mgr,have yet to hear back from him.Not going to recommend this place to anyone.Need to get your act together and not accuse us of missing our reservation when indeed we were THERE.
Always love the show. The gentlemen with the meat were fantastic great service. The waitresses not so much .... poor overall service, asked for a napkin and they never came back, sat with our plates empty and clearly done our meal, waiting for an offer for desert for over 10 minutes. We would have ordered a few more drinks if anyone had bother to check on us.
Copa was very good. our first time in Niagara falls and wanted something different. out on the street the band was pretty loud but inside was good. You could still have a nice conversation. the salad bar/ sides were not the greatest but it was OK. We were there for the beef! The carvers started coming around right away and kept coming with about 20 kinds. All were cooked just right and had excellent flavor. Brazilian dancing girls in costume came out mid dinner. GREAT PLACE!
First time at this restaurant and it was disappointing.
I have been to similar Brazilian bbq places and this was disappointing.
Staff went by our table numerous times a we were told three times someone would be over shortly before we finally had someone take a drink order.
The salad bar was a bit sparse compared to other similar places I have been.
The meat was seriously undercooked and was very slow coming. It felt like perhaps they were caught by surprise as it went from no one to full in short time.
All in all it was okay but could have been much better.
Came for my boyfriend's 25th birthday. We had a good times food selection was decent, was told there was over 16 different types of meats but we only got 7 options, which is more than fine regardless. Our server did her best, we were 12 ppl so she handled it well for our size. The only real complaint was that our table was dirty. There was a previous large table before us so I suppose they had to rush to reset, however table maintenance needs attention. Overall good experience, worth the price ($45/person) and would return.
Went for my brother’s birthday. It was great for food and entertainment. How do those beautiful dancers walk in those heels? Amazing!
The live band was pretty cool too. Played everything from Bruno Mars to Daft Punk to Snopp.
Their tiny strawberry d’aiquiri was delicious.
The experience was great. My friends and I really enjoyed ourselves.
The only 2 things that we noticed was that after a while it was difficult to get a waiter come to our table. We would see them walk by but had difficulty getting there attention
The second thing was that we waited nearly 45 minutes for our bill. It didn’t bother us much but we were happy we didn’t have other plans
We were doing dissapointed when they asked us if there's was anything we'd like to see and my daughter requested the top sirloin and it never came. We were asked by four people. Finally after 1hr it came after being asked again. Also the chicken was quite cold and I was disappointed in the selection of sides. I wanted some roasted potatoes as I was told they're were good.
