Copacabana Brazilian Steak House - Niagara Falls Ratings and Reviews
We were the first reservation of the evening. They visited the table to check our preferences and were quite accommodating. The various meats were excellent, and so was the salad bar which included some hot sides as well. It was my sons actual birthday so dinner and a delicious dessert was on them!
The staff were amazing, all very friendly and welcoming, always checking on us to see if we would like anything. Even gave us a complimentary dinner for my husband for his birthday! The whole experience from booking the reservation to the dinner was awesome.
Nothing but accommodating ! I walked in and they had my table ready. I did have a reservation , but I was still amazed. I tend to be very picky with wine. The server we had I believe her name was Cassandra. She had let me taste test 3 different till my date and I had found the perfect fit. The food there was amazing as well and considering my date was Brazilian I was expecting them to have more of a higher expectation. Yet, that expectation was exceeded. Thank you for the amazing night with my partner!
What an incredible dining experience! Food was excellent! Our server was a genuine sweetheart who's attentive, energetic, and really elevated our first dining experience here. Live entertainment generated great buzz and the atmosphere that all the elements of a restaurant comes together to create, Cococabana nailed it! Highly recommended and will most certainly return for more!
It was me and my boyfriend’s first time at Copacabana in Niagara, and It was just plain awesome! The food, the customer service provided , it was a bit loud for a date but it was on a Friday night so it was fine! The manager comes around table to table and ask if everything was okay, and looks out after their customers... Other than the noise level, the Overall experience was very good! I recommend it very much. Will come back soon! (:
We had a great time at this restaurant. We wee however expecting some Brazilian dancers however unbeknownst to us there are no dancers there on Sunday evenings during some parts of the year. The food was amazing as usual and I would definitely return but it would be nice to know when the dancers are going to be there for the full experience!
Went there because we wanted to do something different for Thanksgiving. It was a nice treat. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive and the guys who served the meat were friendly and pleasant. Our timing was perfect because we got there at 5 (they opened at 4) and it started to get crowded at around 6 or so. Only thing is we don’t care for the “tourist tax” that we are forced to pay. They call it DSM taxb(or something like that). If you want entertainment, make sure you homin Friday or Saturday night. Other than that, we had a great time.
My husband and I have been before and loved it! So when my Aunt and Uncle came from Edmonton for a visit, Copa was my first and only choice! We are from St.Catharines but we like to "play tourist" every now and then! The meat is perfectly cooked and the flavor... Wow! We all had our favorite, mine was the parmigiano fillet! I think! No one want to flip the card, didn't want to miss anything. Everything about our visit was perfect from start to finish. My Aunt and Uncle were ah struck by the whole experience. Thank you for making our visit together special and memorable!
Site confirmed our 7pm reservation and stated table would be held for 15mins. We were running behind due to a construction detour and parking issue. When we arrived at 7:15pm, the hostess abruptly told us we were late and our table was given away at 7:10pm. I apologized for our tardiness but explained that I understood we had a 15 minute buffer. The hostess flatly advised me ‘it is 7:15’ to which I replied ‘then technically we’re still within that time frame?’ She glared at me and stated ‘you will have to wait for another table’ and turned away from me. The second hostess over compensated and gave me other options in a more welcoming tone. Even my 10 year old step son asked what was wrong as ‘the hostess seemed mad’.
Visited Niagra Falls for a quick getaway with my wife. I had a resevation, so I didn't have to wait for my table. Our table was squished between several other couples who all seemed as uncomfortable as us. The buffet had several options, but none of it was good. My wife made several trips up there hoping she would find something she liked, but was unsuccessful. For the first 20 minutes, we were offered meat twice. Everyone in our area watched as the servers walked past us constantly to take the skewers of meat to the large table next to us that seemed to be getting everything. After about a half hour, the Manager asked us how we were doing and we explained our situation, which he fixed. The food started coming more often, but that's when we realized that the food wasn't even good. We tried every cut of meat and none of it was good. Was not worth the money.
Food was great. Waitress was terrible. As soon as we arrived she was pushy. She thought out reservation was at 6pm and was upset we arrived late. Which we didn't. Out reservation was for 6:15pm. She proceeded to tell us that even though we were late there is a 2 hour limit and that we had to leave at 8pm because she had the table reserved for 8 already. I corrected her and showed her my email confirmation from open table for 6:15pm and gave me a look of disgust and said oh I'll be right back to grab your drinks. At 7:40pm while we were still eating she began to ask is how we were going to divide the bill (we were a party of 10 celebrating a birthday) I had to ask another server if they did anything for the birthday girl who was celebrating 50 years because our waitress didn't noti notice the crown and boa she was wearing with a big 50 on it. That waitress did. I again reminded her that we were still earing and that we had the table until 8:15pm and she just left. At 8:05pm I asked her for the corn bread we never received and she said she would get us some. She left and returned at 8:10pm with our bills and no corn bread. I accepted the bill bur asked her again for the bread and she said it was coming. She left again and another girl proceeded to take payment. When she returned she brought our table of 10 four breads. We left promisong never to return to the Niagara location again.
Service was beyond bad .... food was ok buffet had cold dishes that really should be served hot... the hot dishes looked really old and dry. The music is so loud you can’t talk. The waitress well she shouldn’t be a waitress. Meat was all very rare which my hubby is not a fan of. No option to get a different temp on the meat. That said the meat was all well seasoned and good. Drinks were over priced and weak. Won’t be back.
Copacabana offers a smaller, less formal, friendlier and less expensive alternative for Brazilian steakhouse fare. For locals, the deal is quite good particularly mid-week. If you want to be able to hear yourself think, definitely go mid-week; if you want samba dancers, live music and loads of noise, the weekend is for you. Either way the food is great (some sides are kind of ordinary, but there are always a number of really good ones), the rotisserie meats and grilled pineapple are fabulous.
