Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Wheeling
Service kind of slow, pretty pricy lunch for 4 at $166 with no alcohol. Did have dessert.
Samantha was wonderful!
We started with the shrimp appetizer with guacamole; it was outstanding. The potato-crusted scallops were unbelievable!!! The potato crust was light and crisp. I had the pistachio-crusted grouper. The fish was very good. The 'crust' was a bit disappointing as it soggy. The asparagus was fresh and nicely roasted. The mashed potatoes were luke-warm and kinda hard.
The Cooper's Hawk chocolate cake was our choice for dessert. It was good.
Another delicious meal with great service
Delicious food and wine. Somewhat loud, but overall good experience.
The service and food were excellent.
My husband & I went for an early dinner. Had not been there in about 2-3 years. Had great service and everything we ate was very good.
I love meeting and dining in the bar. We get so much done in such a lovely and lively atmosphere with delicious food and wine.
The Thursday night wine tasting and dinner my wife and I had on 1/23/20 was outstanding at every level. Susan at the wine bar was helpful, complimentary and thorough in her presentation and recommendations for our wine tasting. An in-house reservation would have caused an hour wait, but a quick visit to the Open Table app got us seated 30 minutes earlier. Our waiter Jacob, was pleasant,
informative and provided timely, attentive service. I had the bourbon braised pork chop and lobster bisque and my wife went with the chicken breast sandwhich with bacon and French fries. After a double round of warm bread and whipped butter the entrees arrived and were perfect. The pork chop was tender, juicy and served with loaded mashed potatoes, 3 large lightly breaded onion rings and sauted kale. The bourbon sauce worked well with all the items on the oversized plate. The chicken sandwhich was cleverly served cut in half and piled high with fresh tomato and lettuce. Again, tender and delicious. Modestly priced for the quality, we left a 20% gratuity and still only spent just over $70. An excellent experience & value.
The food was delicious. I ordered salmon and asked for everything to be made as dry as possible. They prepared it exactly as ordered and it tasted delicious!
Service was subpar. Granted they were training but the waiter walked away in the middle of taking our drink order, served food completely overdone and couldn’t be found when we were looking to pay the check
I really enjoy my visit time every time I come to Copper’s Hawk.
The food was good. Our server did a good job as well. We had a $15 birthday credit and a $25 rewards credit to use, but were told we could only use one. Not sure why that would be, oof you’re not willing to extend the expiration date on the one we didn’t use. That was annoying. The pork belly tostadas were fine as an appetizer.
Birthday with my wife
I love the wheeling location because all the servers so friendly & helpful
Excellent service great food
Service and food quality was excellent as usual. While one of our two orders was either ordered or prepared incorrectly, our server and one of the managers quickly addressed the issue and re ordered the meal. The manager returned soon after we received the entree, apologized again, and comp’ed the entree. This was above and beyond what was necessary and refreshingly satisfying. Few restaurants provide this level of attention. CH, keep it up!
Love to wine test and pick up my wine and we always stay for dinner. Everything is tasty. My favorite is the Mexican drunken shrimp. My husband had short ribs with mashed potatoes delicious. Warm pretzel bread to boot. So good !
Our server Pam was wonderful. She went over and beyond to make our dinner a wonderful experience.
Food is delicious but not exceptional. Decent value for the money. Ambiance is really nice. Wines are very young but there is quite a selection
Server and manager were rude. Brought out three meals and two were incorrect. Took forever to get them fixed and server and manager had nasty comments when delivered them etc. friend also had avocado in hers twice and is allergic. Was not good evening.
Food was good and service was good. Wine was tast!
Excellent service by Samantha!
I dine at Coopers Hawk every time I visit the area. The menu is large, innovative and the value is amazing. The service has always been excellent. And don’t get me started on the WINE!
Noise level was extremely high - we should not have been seated between two large parties. One person’s food was not cooked properly. Situation was handled by the manager but she went without her meal for a long time while we ate.
Great food A little loud so at times it was difficult to hear each other.
Very nice birthday celebration
We had a wonderful experience. The cauliflower soup was the winner at the table with their chicken and pasta entree's a close second. The restaurant was conversation friendly and the staff made us feel welcome. Definitely recommended.
Our server and wine tasting host was AMAZING. The hostess was VERY rude. She gave us a hard time about our reservation. We had a few joiners and we got to the restaurant an hour early for wine tasting and I told the hostess we are having a few joiners and she told us well I already have your table set and that we couldn’t add a few chairs.
I have been to their other locations and they were great. This one was not. Food was very mediocre, service very slow.
Wonderful dining experience as always!!
