Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Town & Country Ratings and Reviews
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I was disappointed that the server did not go through the normal information about the wines and the history of the winery. I had guests with me that had never been there before and I had previewed the experience with them.
We easily checked in for our dinner reservation, and were seated quickly. Our waiter, Jim, was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. He explained the benefits of the wine club to us, after we had made a wine selection and wanted to purchase a bottle. He was very patient with us in making our dinner selection, and helped us in making great choices. The food was really delicious and I was pleased with our choices. We'll definitely be back, and will be requesting Jim as our waiter.
The whole experience from the wine tasting and appetizers to dessert was fantastic. I do remember it being pretty loud where we were seated, but I'm not sure if it was a rambunctious group or building acoustics. Either way it was a great meal with top notch food and great tasting wine.
The reaturant, bar & tasting room were all lively & packed. It’s a huge place. It’s a whole experience where you’re anle to have a progressive evening in one spot.
Startvat thectasting room. Move to the bar for a drink then finish off w dinners. What fun! I’ve only been there twice, but Bc of the size & crowd I never have high expectations, but both times the food has been delicious & has exceeded me expectations. The chicken potstickers & the Brussel sprouts are both delicious. I love that they have healthy options too w yummy entrees ranging from 560-590 calories.
I will keep coming back.
I was very disappointed that the waitress mixed up the leftovers. So I was not able to enjoy the Chef's Special recommendation the next evening - squash ravioli with seafood. I had only eaten half the dinner so I could take it home. This has never happened to me at any restaurant.
We have been here before and we always enjoy the food. It is pricey for just the two of us. It was my husband's birthday and I treated him here because we love the place very much. I do not recall us being here just the two of us before at about 7pm. I think it was either late afternoon or somewhere after lunch hour and it is not too bad, I mean the noise...This time with just the two of us and my husband has a little issue with the noise. The ladies almost near our table were having a good time and very noisy. They were enjoying themselves but I wasn't used to the noise either. Maybe next time we will go here in between hours like around 3pm or two hours before lunch so there will not be many people, quiet time. It was wonderful to go out but there are people who just cannot help themselves with being too blabby. I wish the owners will do something about installing a noise absorber in the ceiling. P.F. Chang has it...I think. It can be done.
We were greeted with a complimentary glass of their seasonal Riesling at the door. We sat at the bar while waiting for our table and the bar staff was super friendly and prompt. Our waiter, once seated, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I loved Dana's chicken but my husband thought his rigatoni was "okay". I would definitely go back with girlfriends for a wine night! (My husband doesn't like wine so he didn't appreciate the experience as much as I did!)
We went for the holiday. And this was distance for us to drive, so we considered this a destination restaurant. The entrance is inviting. There is a bar area and a place to buy wine and gifts. And then a separate bar and seating area. Then the full dining room. The noise level was bit too much for the night we went. Our server was very good - no complaint there. My dinner selection was over priced for the quality received. The trio of tenderloins were not cooked to order and actually each were cooked differently. The toppings on each were forgetable. The green beans were overcooked. And the potatoes were over processed. The shrimp appetizer was ok, but i would have left off the watery guacamole which was not necessary. When asked about my meal I did mention the beef preparation inconsistency. The server said the manager would come speak to us. It took awhile for that person to come to our table. When they arrived they offered an apology for the temperature mistake. I was still in good holiday mood, so I didn't press anything nor did i really want to wait for some type of change and they weren't really offering anything either at that time. Just about the time the check came, the waitress said we could have a bottle of wine compliments of the house. It has an extensive menu and I would try one more time since my dining companion enjoyed their selection. My companion enjoyed their gnoochi and salad. Overall I would still like to try this again during the week for dinner or maybe lunch because their were elements of this place I liked. The menu is large and I think during the week the atmosphere would be more relaxed and maybe the noise level would be at a moderate range.
Disappointment does not begin to express how we felt about the thanksgiving dinner. If this was our only dinning experience at Cooper's Hawk, we would likely never return.
We understand that the Turkey dinners were brought in. I Based on the reaction from the surrounding tables we could feel the air of disappointment radiate throughout the restaurant.
I was only able to eat a few carrots from the plate. My wife ask for a to go container in hopes that the food might be better the following day. No such luck.
Foulest Thanksgiving ever
Our party of ten are Thanksgiving dinner here. It was SUPERB! Everything was perfect. The server, Ann, was outstanding. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had on Thanksgiving. From the Butternut Squash Bisque to the turkey with all the fixings-everything was outstanding. My one and only complaint was that I could have used more gravy on my meat. The turkey was very very moist and succulent. The pumpkin cheesecake was out of this world. At $27.99 a person it was a great value. I’d go back for Thanksgiving dinner in a heartbeat! Thank you, Cooper’s Hawk for a wonderful dinner!
We came as a group of 4. Three of us ordered the Thanksgiving turkey dinner; the turkey was moist and tender, the stuffing and vegetables were tasty, and there was more than enough to spare. And the pumpkin cheesecake was fabulous. Also, my husband ordered from the extensive gluten-free menu, and enjoyed the parmesan crusted chicken. We'd gladly recommend Cooper's Hawk to friends, for any occasion.
