Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Town & Country Ratings and Reviews
This is our "go to" for date nights. The tastings are not skimpy half finger pours, they do it right. Also - go off menu on the tastings and ask for something that's new or limited production...and try the international selections!
For dinner - Gnocchi Bolognese w/ braised short ribs
It was a great lunch meeting and we had great service-very attentive without being intrusive.
The food was delicious and I love that they offer a light menu with a lot of healthy selections such as side salads, fresh fruit or vegetables. We love the pretzel bread and have tried several
of their selections. We definitely will be back soon.
This was our first visit to Coopers Hawk. We had received a gift card for the restaurant, otherwise we probably would have never tried it because it's a trek from where we live. The food and wine were good, but nothing was amazing enough to bring us back. We went on a Monday evening and the place was very busy - and very loud. This is definitely not a place for a quiet or intimate dinner. We ordered a bottle of their sparkling wine and were given a couple samples to help us decide - nice touch. Otherwise, the service was somewhat slow and uneven.
We are frequent diners at this restaurant, and wine club members. We eat there at least twice a month. Some of the wine tasting hostesses and some of the wait staff smile when we come in or stop by to say hello while we wait or after we're seated. They do everything but yell "Norm" when we walk in. We had a great wine tasting, were seated on time and then Eric happened, actually didn't happen. When you're seated they place a card on your table with the server's name and table location. When the sever comes by they pick up the card. After 10 minutes of no contact, I moved the card to the end of the table so it would be more visible. After 15 minutes of no contact, I called the Hostess stand to get Eric to our table. After a couple of more minutes my wife and I decided to leave. Keep in mind there were no less than 4 servers in the area who passed us multiple times, a floor supervisor who passed us twice and still nothing. We received no contact, no water, no "I'll be right with you" not even an "I'll get your server." We were invisible. On our way out, the floor supervisor "thanked" us for dining with them, which caused me to let her know exactly why we were leaving. She asked if I wanted to see a manager. I told her to let the manager know Eric should be fired because he lost them a customer. My wife was so upset she immediately cancelled her wine club membership. We will NOT be giving Cooper's Hawk gift cards this season. We will NOT be purchasing their wine by the case for a while. We've dined at several Cooper's Hawk restaurants across the country and never had an experience like this. Maybe there has been a management change at this location or the servers need better training. Regardless, there is NO excuse to let any customer, regular or first timer, sitting at a table for 15 minutes or more with NO contact! If I could give negative stars for this visit, I would.
The service at the restaurant was really good and the waiter was very helpful and attentive to our needs. I had the chefs special which was a ravioli with lobster and shrimp, it was very good . My wife and I both shared an appetizer of the Asian calamari, it was delicious. The restaurant is very loud and that takes away from the overall dining experience.
Overall evening was good with great friends, good wine and an enjoyable atmosphere. My wife and I both had filet Mignon as our entrees. My wife’s steak was good but mine was disappointing, obviously the end pieces of the filet, pieced together with the muscle sheath not removed, making for a tough chewy piece up meat. For a $33 steak I expect higher standards. All the entree sides, Mary’s potatoes and steamed brocolli were very good. For desert we shared salted carmel Creme Brûlée. While tasty, the texture was just not creme brulle like. Overall an OK meal but could have been better.
Another GREAT meal at Cooper's Hawk. I had the Surf and Turf with the Parmesean Crusted Medallions and crab cake and my husband got the Trio of medallions. The steak was cooked to perfection...almost able to cut it with our forks! You HAVE to get Mary's Potatoes and DON'T miss The Mexican Drunken Shrimp....HEAVENLY!!
As usual, we dine a bit early to avoid crowds. The tasting room wasn’t crowded, but service was a little slow. Maybe the evening staff was just getting going. Our table was exactly as requested, and our server Rick was excellent. His recommendation were perfect and so was the food. A fantastic evening. This place never disappoints.
This restaurant was recommended by friends and a family member. All the staff were friendly. Our server was very knowledgeable, attentive, but not intrusive. My fish was prepared perfectly and my husband’s pork chop was extremely tender and seasoned well. We definitely will return for another meal. It was a pleasurable experience.

This was my second time at Coopers Hawk. I had happy hour with a friend a few weeks ago. The happy hour was very good and a nice selection of discount appetizers and drinks. Friday night we were there to celebrate my husbands birthday. My father in law was in from out of town and he was very impressed. The food was good and the men enjoyed their wine choices. My only complaint would be that one appetizer was luke warm at best and it was very noisy. A little hard to concentrate on the table conversation with so many noisy people around us.
All in all a nice evening and good food.
Cooper's Hawk is a very nice restaurant, offering some unique dishes & , of course, a variety of wines. My husband & I went there for our anniversary & we would definitely recommend it. The food was well-prepared...the filets of beef on my surf & turf combo were cooked to perfection & my husband, who is usually quite critical of most restaurant risottos, thought his Mushroom-encrusted chicken with sweet corn & pea risotto was excellent. All in all, our meals, including a bottle of wine, a bottle of Pellegrino, and coffee, were well worth the cost. Our only complaint was the noise level in the restaurant. We were there on a Tuesday evening & it was so noisy we could barely hear our own conversation. Otherwise, it is a definite return spot for us.
Unfortunate there is a $9 corkage for a bottle of wine purchased in your lobby to drink at / with your lunch/dinner meal. Uncooperative/ female employee in your tasting area. She should find a job that she really enjoys instead of aggravating customers
A small group had lunch here on the weekend. Unfortunately, I doubt we will be coming back.
Our experience started with dirty plates and silverware. Either the dishwasher isn't working or people are doing something wrong or something but 2 of the 3 plates were obviously dirty and 2 of the 6 utensils has food caked on them.
The salad that was ordered was very plain and lacked any real flavor. The Caesar salad seemed warm but not grilled. The Flatbread was average and the other dish was not memorable.
The only highlight of the meal was the very attentive servers who were very good with drink refills, etc.
Also, the food seemed overpriced relative to its quality and its competitors.
Always great!! Josh was our waiter and he was fantastic. The Dodici wine was so good. We are regulars, usually go about once a month. My husband and I had the salmon and our daughter had the shrimp and scallop risotto. The drunken shrimp appetizer and brusssels sprouts were also delicious. We will return soon.
We enjoyed the roomy yet intimate feel of the space. A very extensive menu--so many choices. Definitely returning to try more dishes. The lobster crab bisque was excellent and the Caesar salad was delicious. We had a party of 8 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Service was friendly although the food did take a little longer than expected to arrive at our table. This was a work/team lunch so we did not have an opportunity to try any of the wines or drinks that we would've like to try. Don't forget to end the meal with a sweet confection.
