Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Tampa
We arrived at 12:00. Out of numerous items on the menu. Server was pleasant.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. My husband and I enjoyed it so much we have bought tickets for next months event.
Thank you for seating us a little late! I was rear ended on my way, and was running 15 minutes late. I called ahead and you were all so gracious!
Were not greeted until after 15 min, when we had to ask a hostess whether our table had a server or not. Restaurant was not overly busy. Food came out cold, and was not cooked to temperature requested on steaks. Service continued to struggle throughout the meal.
This was my first experience at Cooper's Hawk that did not live up to the usual high standards. I asked for my flatbread without the goat cheese and instead of leaving the cheese off altogether, they substituted mozzarella cheese without asking. I am eating a plant-based diet, so cheese is off the menu for me. They offered to re-do the flatbread, but by then everyone else at the table had their food and was eating. I think the waitress may have been new, but it was my first disappointing experience.
I really enjoy my self overall but I just wish it was a bigger area for the tasting and to have a large a party
I enjoy Coopers Hawk for the wine and appetizers. The food is marginal at best and terribly salty . Ambiance is nice but the noise level is off the chart! Our last server was flat and unfriendly. Unfortunately, I have eaten my last meal there
Food and service great! All had delicious dinners. Tables close together so noisier than we would have liked. Would go back but not on a Saturday.
Great service love the menu and wine club membership is the way to go!
I had a terrific salad and the service was great. Pretzel bread is underwhelming. Only complaint is that it's absolutely freezing in there! Is that to keep the wine temperature under control? Also, we tried to buy wine glasses and chocolates after the meal and making a purchase in the lobby is not easy. And the chocolate covered strawberries were mushy and old
Nice service quick and attentive and wine tasting was great.
Great food! Attentive service.
We met up with my childhood friend who I haven’t seen in years. Dinner, wine and service was great! Go grab a bottle and have some fun!
One of our favorite go to places to eat and relax with some good wine and food!!🍷🍷😎
The food is fine-nothing crazy special but ok. The server this time had to go back 4 times to just tell what type of truffles did they have. Then came back to say they didn’t have the ones we selected. The “turtle” truffle is really a joke. It’s a couple of pecans bunched together by sugar but really no chocolate in it. The noise level is a big problem with this restaurant. It doesn’t matter if you are at the front area where everybody tastes wines or you are in the restaurant itself. Our throat hurt from screaming to just talk. Don’t know that we will ever go back!
Top shelf service, wine and food. Definitely our go to place for a special meal. Free valet parking topped it off.
Unique calamari with batter dipped large rings that were glazed with chili type sauce. Hubby enjoyed the strip steak and couldn’t get enough of the Parmesan fries. The crispy Asian pork was very tender with a nice crunchy crust but I couldn’t figure out what made it Asian other than a sauce for dipping. Blackened tuna was excellent. They serve a wonderful vegetable medley of carrots, parsnips, mushrooms and other goodies in a wonderful glaze. To top it off the cappuccino was a great cup of coffee.
Food is excellent and service is very good. Can be a little noisy. Larger than it looks from the outside. The bar area is VERY busy and noisy. Good happy hour prices. Highly recommend reservations for dining.
Loved the Pinot Noir. Had an appetizer and the warm pretzel bread. Both were delicious! The pistachio crusted grouper was amazing!
Although the food was very good, it was noisy and a group of 14 raucous women were seated right near us, which kind of spoiled our “quiet date night”. Also I had finished my appetizer before my glass of wine was brought out (which I had to call our server over to ask for), which isn’t good for a restaurant that is also known for its winery.
It is always a treat to be able to dine at Cooper's Hawk. We combine dinners with a wine tasting about once a month. Great fun! Great food and service!
Food was great. Our server was very busy and was slow in bringing our wine tastings to us. It seemed like they were short staffed that night. She was very good at making recommendations, but she just seemed over worked and was doing her best to attend to all of her tables. They were out of one of the wine's we wanted to taste, but when we requested a bottle of something else, it wasn't brought to us until after we had already gotten our entrees. We ended up only drinking one glass each and then having the rest corked to bring home.
Our waitress provide us with an outstanding service
Very crowded for a Wed night and always loud. Much prefer going for lunch
A great way to celebrate my birthday!! This place is amazing!
Food great as always and very friendly server— just took way too long to get checks when we were finished
Delicious as always. Great service and great ambiance
Horrible service. Great food.
absolutely...we were 25 minutes late and had an additional guest. The young man at the front (I forgot to get his name but he was medium height, dark hair, it was ~1:00 PM on Monday, 8/12) was very nice and still found us a great table with only a few minute wait. Food and server were great!
Wonderful night out. Enjoyed the wine tasting beforehand, and the dinner was well-pleasing.
Overall enjoyable dinner, good selection of entrees, and good service for a not too expensive price.
I love the energy of this restaurant. The food is always wonderfully presented, tastes delicious and is of the highest quality. The wines, a fantastic highlight of this chain, are great, too. George, our waiter, was the most engaging part of the evening. He spoiled us and pampered us throughout the evening and we hope we rewarded him enough! One of my favorite restaurants.
Food as always was great and our waiter was outstanding - thanks
My friend who is a high ranking officer in the US Air Force came to town to visit. So, I invited him to join me for dinner to share what I know could be absolutely wonderful experience.
Our waiter, although he seemed competent and cordial with his surrounding tables did not seem to want to deal with us at all.
Our plans was to have a full three course meal and enjoy a some wines from my reserve. He seemed very short and impatient when we did not order dinner fast enough. I asked if we would assist us in getting the full experience with a decanter because we wanted to try a few bottles out of the two free dine in bottles and the other 10 that I had on reserve. He nonchalantly said that they were out of those units. I asked if he would the get us one whenever possible in which he reply ok but we never got an ETA or answer.
After our appetizers was served, he came to our table to ask if we were ready to order, I politely asked for our napkin and silverware. He said ok but and seemed unbothered as he walked away from our table. He walked back to the table and handed us our silverware.
We had not seen each other for a while so we spent some time talking and was honestly not pressed to rush through our meal and mostly wanted to have the full experience but I don’t he think he was trained to see how we were connecting and nor was he concerned about meeting our needs.
In any case, when he finally returned to our table to take our orders but by then we no longer wanted to continue our dinner based on how cold he was to use compare to how warm and friendly he was with a few surrounding patrons. We just decided to go see an earlier movie than we originally planned.
I politely asked for the check and told him we leaving to catch a movie. We saw him for several times attending to the next table but took his time to bring our check. He eventually brought back our check and he dropped the next to me without saying a word.
His level of service was just unacceptable.
Excellent service, food and wine. It was a bit noisy in the dining area, but only due to another group seated next to us that were a bit loud but also having a great time. No complaints, I’ll definitely be back.
The folks where you check in for reservations are never friendly. The experience should start with them. We did the wine tasting and the lady who helped us wasnt friendly either. She didn't explain the wines she only said ready for the next one.
One of my favorite places. Never disappoints. Excellent food, service and wine.
Been to Coopers Hawk a lot - generally a couple times a month for a long time. We have NEVER been disappointed! Quality never changes. Especially great when we get an outstanding server named George! Now we request him because he makes the experience better! BTW: they make a great Cosmo too!
