Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Richmond
Exceptional food, service and WINES
Great time. We were there for our anniversary. Had a 7:00 reservation and were seated right away. No waiting for anything.
The entire experience was amazing. We had a reservation for 7 and the service was great. Thanks so much for such a great night.
We eat at Cooper’s Hawk on a regular basis. The food is always great, and there is a wine that can always be paired with anything on their menu. Our service tonight was one of the best in the many times of going there. Gabrielle was attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. Definitely one of their best.
I had asked for a booth and none were available. Unfortunately was interviewing a candidate.
Excellent food and impeccable service are the norm for Cooper's Hawk. We have never been disappointed. The lively menu has us trying something new every time we come!
First time here , overall a very pleasant experience I’d recommend to friends
The service was not good
Great good and service. Pricey but great quality. 😊😊
We had a very nice time -the food was excellent , Cornell was awesome (our waiter) and the atmosphere was nice.
Food was terrific. Huge menu. Wines are ok It took more than 15 minutes for us to get desserts. It wasn’t terribly busy. Dinner and apps came within very reasonable time.
Rebecca our waitress was courteous and professional! Food was amazing!
Kitchen continues to have problems. They forgot our appetizer/ salad and brought the wrong entree.
My boyfriend and I went there to celebrate my birthday had an absolutely amazing experience. We started with a wine tasting, then had dinner. I start with the Lobster bisque and then had the Potato Crusted Scallops. My boyfriend started with a Cesar salad and than had the chicken and Capper pasta. We paired everything with the Scarletto wine. Everything was amazing and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. The only downside was the noise level. Most of the time, earlier in the day is quiet.
Our server, Stephanie, was excellent. Service and food have always been very good when we have been there. Our only real negative is the noise level.
The food was great. The service great. Wine great. Noise level was the worse I have ever experienced. We had a table for 2 beside 2 large tables who were having a great time but sooooo loud. I love Cooper Hawk but if I had to sit there again I would leave. It was unusual to not see a manager but I did not ask for one. The waitress and receptionist both apologized. Very disappointing.
On a high note we were able to pick up our wine and had great food.
They were 15 minutes late seating us for our reservation, the restaurant was painfully noisy, and one of our entrees was served at least 15 minutes after everyone else. The food and wine were good, but I promise it would be quieter to eat dinner in the middle of Penn Station. It felt has if they just didn’t have their act together despite having so many employees milling about. Our server did the best he could under the circumstances, however it’s a one and done for us.
Great food at Cooper’s Hawk! When I’m in town, I always make a trip. They have a dedicated gluten free menu that is rather extensive in comparison to other restaurants, which I love. Their wine flights are fantastic. My only slight complaint is that on a busy Friday or Saturday night, it can get rather loud and difficult to hold a quiet conversation. All in all- highly recommend!!
Although we had a reservation we still had to wait almost 30mins. Food is good, service was good but restaurant is so loud! They were playing a song over the sound system that had so much base all you heard was thumping because of the noise in the restaurant. I’ve been her numerous times, food is good, wind is good, ambience would be a lot better w/some noise control.
We all enjoyed our food very much. Our first time at Coopers Hawk with friends who are part of the wine club so we enjoyed two bottles of wine. Great first visit! Will return!
