Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Orland Park Ratings and Reviews
Overall parking lot is very small and hard to find a parking space didn’t get seated right away have reservations. service was very bad had to ask for things more then once and waited awhile for it to come. Didn’t promote any of the chef recommendations for dinner. Wrong dinner plate came to the table
First time ever experience bad service at Cooper hawk I have been to many of them. Maybe will not return to this location
I have been to Cooper’s hawk a few times for dinner and this was by far the WORST service. Don’t get me wrong the food was great but the server we had was terrible. We wanted to have a relaxing night with drinks and food. When we got in , we had 3 different waitresses come help us because our main server was finishing up a big crowd, which was 100% fine but when she was done and only had 3 tables she wouldn’t check on us until we flagged her down. And drinks? We wanted to have more than 1 drink throughout dinner and only received one after we were half way through dinner. I asked the waitress we aren’t ready to order dinner until the appetizers come out. She promised she wouldn’t put them in until the apps came out. What happened? The apps came out and when we finish the apps the food came out immediately not letting us have a chance to breathe. Overall, I would say food is great, but I would never want that sever again. Not worth the money when you have a terrible server at NINE pm.
When we got seated there was no silverware on our table. As such We weren’t able to butter our bread. And all the bread plates on the table were dirty. Our server and management were quick to rectify and replaced the plates. Took a very long time to receive our water, our bottle of wine and our salad. Server said the kitchen was backed up due to a party. Our food was greatest usual. Driving home we realized our dinner that night was a constant trend we always experience at Coopers Hawk; Which is poor, slow service, good tasting wine but not great nor anything to brag about, and unique entree dishes which taste great.
Phenomenal service and food. Bought my wife for her birthday, she loved it! (So did I!) It was our first time attending a Cooper’s Hawk. Our server was amazing and was on point throughout the night. We were seated within 5min of arriving from our OpenTable reservation. It was Friday evening and it was packed, but our server was so good, we felt like the only two people there. Request the back room part of the restaurant (lights are dimmed-very sexy) We will be returning and joining their wine club.
At one point in time I was in love with Cooper's Hawk. This time my server was triple sat so our service reflected this. Our appetizer was late and the manager came to the table to inform us and that was fine. The server barely cleared our table after each course. The manager wasn't detailed oriented nor personable. He dropped the app off then was asked for additional items that NEVER came. My food was cold my birthday young lady's food was over cooked. They did remove those items but no body came out to ACTUALLY check on us or have a conversation about how badly our occasion was going. I expressed to the server how displeased and disappointed I was in the service and quality of the food. She said the manager should have come and spoken with us and to that I agreed. I paid my high bill and left a tip but unfortunately I WON'T BE RETURNING. I felt umvalued and unwanted
Every place had bad days but you have managers that should be able to recover them with a smile or just genuine conversation
Not happy with this restaurant or the company right now. Very unhappy with this restaurant in particular. Last 3 times we have gone there for early lunch, we have ended up with the same waitress. This time, I went and looked around, and did not think she was there. As soon as we sat down, Tabitha arrived at our table out of no where. Not happy with her service at all. Just coming from doctors appointments for cancer, wanted a good relaxing meal w my family, and they totally screw up my order again. I asked for the 3 mini crusted filets w asparagus. I receive 1 uncrusted filet w brocolli. How does that happen? Not even close. Amy, the manager, more then fixed the situation. Very happy withe the way she handled it and the way she says it will be handled in the future. Not sure if we will chance eating at this one again, but if we do the manager Amy for sure will be requested. She is going way out of her way to fix it all. Thank you so much to her. And also all the great service we have received from Ramon in the past at this location.
Cooper's Hawk is one of my favorite dining restaurants ever! The food is always deliciously prepared with care and originality. Our server Marvin Hubbard was outstanding and extremely knowledgeable of the menu and his manners were impeccable! He presented exceedingly superb service and deserves acknowledgement from his manager. My son's birthday will be especially memorable because of the meal and hospitality. Our reservation was honored in a timely manner as well. We LOVE Cooper's Hawk and will be coming back many more times when in Illinois. Thank you!
Actually had our Thanksgiving dinner there. It was nice that you could order off the regular menu or have a plated Thanksgiving dinner. Despite the servers having to work this day ours was extremely pleasant and attentive. Good wine and good food you can count on there always. They have everything from sandwiches, burgers to steak dinners. There is something for everyone!!!
Went there for their "Thanksgiving Menu" . Food quality was sub standard to what I have had there off regular menu. Server was either new or not good at all....she was friendly, but not a good server.
Food was like it came from a cafeteria...portion was not at all what I had there a few years ago for a holiday menu. The pumpkin cheesecake was "warm" with a dabble of melted whip cream on it. Two dinners and a modest bottle of wine ran over $100. I should have cooked.
Regarding their Thanksgiving Dinner special: All though their food was delicious, it was apparent their thanksgiving meal was prepared for the masses & kept “warm” until ordered. When our dishes were served, the turkey and mashed potatoes were cold, the stuffing was hard, and we had to request our cranberry sauce and creamed corn approximately 10 minutes after being served the main meal (these were two items listed as a given on their holiday menu). I have been to Cooper’s Hawk multiple times, and their regular dishes are always spot on; however, their Thanksgiving Dinner truly left a lot to be desired this year. Additionally, the servers appeared to be spread thin with various assigned tables, and when asked, many staff stated they had to pull a double. Better preparation for 2018, I hope.
We are so very grateful that they were open on Thanksgiving Day. They had a special Thanksgiving Day dinner on the menu that included all of the traditional foods. Everything was absolutely delicious! While we all had the special Thanksgiving meal, their entire regular menu was also available. One of the nicest Thanksgivings we have celebrated together as a family in a long time!
We went on Thanksgiving Day and it was slightly crowded. They had a turkey dinner special but we decided to order from the regular menu instead. I prefer a window booth but due to the crowd, didn't get that but did get a booth at the beginning of that row near where the food was picked up from the kitchen. This made for constant passing of waitstaff as well as people coming to be seated. Not a big deal but it did take away from the ambiance of the experience.
My husband had a surf and turf meal consisting of steak and grouper fish, Caesar salad and lobster bisque soup. I ordered lobster bisque soup as well and my entree was the pretzel encrusted pork chop. As always, it was delicious! Highly recommend that dish. I'd go for it once a week if I could afford it, lol.
The waitress was good and attentive but I had to ask her for my wine club card as I was leaving and she had to find it. As I said it was busy so, understandable.
We are regular customers of Cooper's Hawk and just showed up for our 7:15 reservation for our nephew's birthday. We were told there were 10 reservations ahead of us and they had no clue how long the wait would be. What exactly is the point of a reservation? This was a huge inconvenience seeing as we have 6 people in our party and are now scrambling to find a different place to dine. I understand you can't exactly tell people currently dining to leave, but a simple call by the restaurant to let us know our reservation was severely delayed would have been appreciated.
