I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. The ladies restroom was very dirty. There were 4 stalls and only one was acceptable, there was another lady in the room with me and her comment was, you would think the ladies bathroom would be cleaner than a men’s bathroom! The other issue I had was every time a table was cleaned near where we were sitting it smelled like a dirty dish rag was used.
It was just not what I expected- we live in Indiana and have been at the Cooper’s Hawk Winery in Merrillville and went to Orland for something different- and it was disappointing.

My family came to town from Michigan. While dining it was raining and the roof was leaking directly above our table. When we complained about it, the waitress said that there weren't any other tables and we could shift the people at our table around the leaking puddles. As dinner progressed the downpour leaks increased in locations around our table, somehow this seems like a health code issue as well as this was dripping from the ceiling into our food. The manager came over and apologized and said she was embarrassed for us having such a bad experience and she would give money off our next meal (nothing off this one). As we were talking, the water was coming down directly in between us. I explained my family was from out of town and she said they could use the money off when CH builds a restaurant in MI. We asked where in Michigan and she had no idea. Later she gave us our desserts free and nothing else. Cooper's Hawk is definitely going down hill. Perhaps growing too fast. The roof leaking into your food is definitely not sanitary eating conditions. I was very excited to take my family out to this restaurant and was so disappointed.

The food was good and the service was great. I was however disappointed after waiting 45 minutes to be seated even though I had reservations.

Overall very good. Unfortunately we were seated next to a couple where a very small baby screamed for at least 15 minutes before they finally left. We could not hear anything.

Once they left it was very enjoyable. The wait staff should have probably asked them if they needed anything but it didn’t seem like anyone knew what to do. We almost asked to be moved.

We haven't tried an appetizer that we have not lived they! From drunken shrimp to chili calamari to meatballs... Amazing! Desserts are also fantastic with the chocolate cake being one of our favorites. We went for a regular chimichurri steak this time and didn't feel it was as good as the rotating specials menu.

We were not seated until 8:30pm for a 7:30pm reservation, even though we arrived at 7pm. I ordered wine braised short ribs that tasted like that had been microwaved in plain water. The accompanying root vegetables were tough. The complimentary glasses of wine are a nice touch but not enough to go back again.

Our reservation was for 6:15. When we checked in after our wine tasting we were told it would be 15-20 minutes more than our reservation time as they were running behind. Finally 45 minutes later at 7:00 we were finally seated. Our server was newer, but very good. The food was very good, the service was very good, but the check in just was not.

I had the lobster bisque soup and a wedge salad. Both were very good. The complimentary pretzel bread was rock hard and not edible.

We are regulars here. We prefer to sit in the bar but make reservations to make sure we have a table if the bar is full. Reservations are always recommended here. It's always busy. The appetizers are great and the selection is so wide we generally just make dinner out of the appetizers. The rest of the menu is great too and of course the wine is great. I particularly like their Bordeaux blend

Our server, Kelly, was very absent. Slow at getting our order and never followed up. The food, though it came out quickly after we placed order, was all cold. When I am spending over a hundred dollars for a dinner for 2, I expect more. I have been to other Cooper's locations and it has been much better. I probably will not return to Orland Park location. Spent almost 2 hundred bucks after tip (still tipped well because I'm that kind of person), but it really wasn't even close to worth it. Cold food, poor service. We aren't complainers so we put up with it, but it wasn't good at all.

We felt very rushed by the server. I ordered Dana's chicken and it was very dry, the server didn't have any sauce suggestions to help with the dryness. The fried sea food appetizer was soggy, and we waited 10 minutes before anyone checked on us to get lemons for it. I don't normally write reviews but this was my girlfriends first time at CH and it did not leave a good impression on her.

We did the wine tasting first which I would highly recommend. 2 lists to pick from: one a dry and one a sweet fruity. Each list probably has 30 wines to choose from and you get 8 tastings for $7.00. Definitely have to try it! Then dinner was outstanding! Highly recommend the Tostadas and the egg rolls..both were delicious. Absolutely worth going to. A little higher priced for what you get, but for a special occasion give it a try. It is a very busy place so I would reserve using open table! :)

The food was wonderful detail and the service was nice. However when I ask about a small tasting at our table our server said only if I decide to get a glass. Which I had planned to and did but felt she should have just let me have my two tastings so I could decide if I wanted to try something else. I just went with my usual. So that was a disappointment. But the food was great
