I have been to Coopers Hawk before for couple wine tastings and a few dinners. When my sisters and I went on Monday it was not that good. The service was not good like it usually is. We had to ask for place settings 3 times and again when the apps were served. She never opened the bottle of wine or poured it. At one point we had no wine and no water. Nothing to drink during our meals. She never offered coffee either. When it was time for dessert she never asked us if we wanted any dessert. She did bring a plate out with a chocolate covered strawberry and said "happy birthday we normally put truffles on the plate too but we are out so happy birthday" We were very surprised with the service for Coopers Hawk We were seated way in the back and it was dark and uninviting.
We had the best server named Molly! She was attentive charismatic and made the whole dining experience enjoyable
It’s always freezing in there. We ate with our coats on. Waitress was forgetful. Food was awesome.
Everyone enjoyed their food entrees - vegan and non. Our server was attentive and pleasant. The menu had so many choices - we had vegetable side dishes, flat breads, soup, healthy lunch choices, and salad. All were delicious.
The food and service was great. The wine tasteing was nice.my wife like go try different wines your wine tasteing works out great for her.we had a wonderful time.
Wine tasting was amazing. Corned beef was excellent. We always have a great dinner at Coopers Hawk.
The food is always fantastic and this time was no different. Our server was not only efficient, but very personable and took great care of our table. And then there's the wine--you would be hard pressed not be be able to find one (or dozens) you like.
We were seated right n their private dining area so it was much more quiet than usual
Great Restsurant and good variety.
Amazing, per usual!
Sam was our server. It was our 15th wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday. She was awesome, took excellent care of us while we were there. Thank you for an excellent evening, it meant a lot to us.
This was my first time at the Orland Park location and with my husband but wasn't let down. He absolutely loved it as much as I do. All the locations that I have been to have amazing food, drinks, and friendly employees. Definitely would recommend it and I will be back.
Food was great and service was good.
Great service and recorded wine we did not finish. Was full after appetizers. Free sample of barrel reserve wine and great dessert options
All around a great experience!
My fiancée and made two separate reservations, due to having a large party.
We were taking her Aunt, to her first CH experience for her 60th birthday.
Despite all the care made by both internet and in person, we were treating RUDELY by the general manager. He attitude was horrible, she would not listen, and actually ruined the plans we'd already made and confirmed with the hostess. I guess your establishment in Orland doesn't care, because they're just SO busy. We left before any actual service was done, due to being treated as if we were back in the 50s in the Jim Crow south. Orland's notorious for racism when I was growing up. Guess is still continues now, with a tighter mask.
Food and wine was great. Service from waitress was great. Disappointed we still had to wait 1/2 hour for a table even though we made a reservation days in advance. Poor communication from hostess.
Service and food were very good. This restaurant is consistently good.
Our waiter was below average. Forgot the bread at table, had to tell him, forgot one side for my daughter... brought them like 5 strawberries “to share” because he forgot about the bread then asked for my daughters chocolate covered strawberry she got with her meal and he said oh I brought those other strawberries, but brought it anyway for her. She was supposed to get that and another side!!! He didn’t deserve a tip in my opinion. Also not many options for allergies. Husband and one daughter have dairy and egg allergies and had only a couple options. Horrible in this day and age with so many food allergies out there. Also my salmon was the tail (would have preferred a nice meaty center piece) so was a bit dry. Will not be returning...
Food and service were great. Had an 830 reservation and was seated aroundb835.. There is a fruitful issue though like other people mentioned in their reviews...
Good place to go for any reason. Date night, family dinner (yes even with well behaved kids just avoid Friday or Saturday night), friends night out etc. Cooper's Hawk makes for a nice night out just make sure to make a reservation as this place gets packed.
The restaurant felt and smelled dirty. The menu pages were sticking to each other, when I walked in my feet were sticking to the ground, and there was a bug flying around our table. I never experienced this before at the Orland location so I was very surprised and disappointed.
Birthday dinner for my sister
The food was delicious as always. It's nice that they change up the menu seasonally! Unfortunately this restaurant isn't conversational friendly, but I'm really not sure if anything could be done to change that.
The food is average and over priced. I've been there a number of times and have never had a great experience.
The food was excellent, the service was great I had a wonderful time.
The food is always great at Cooper's Hawk. The service is wonderful too.
Celebrating my birthday at my favorite place!!
Dinner and wine were excellent as always!!
I’ve been a wine club member since the beginning! I credit Coopers Hawk for introducing me to so many different kinds of wine that I would have never tried!! ❤️
Waited 20 minutes to be seated with a reservation
Food took over 50 minutes to come. French fries cold and never brought new ones.
Bill was adjusted by manager
We had to wait 15 minutes after our reservation time for 5pm.
The server was awkward but attentive- it when downhill when we waited for an hour for our food to arrive. When it did arrive after the excuse that the kitchen had multiple large tables to handle, the food was cold! They did take care of the bill to make it right, but the the experience was not enjoyable.
Normally I have always loved, enjoyed, and raved about Coopers Hawk, however this meal was rough in comparison. The wait staff was friendly, but he forgot an appetizer, all of our meals came out very late, he never asked us if we wanted refills on our wine or drinks, and he did not give us a reason as to the many delays. Normally we stay for dessert, but we opted to leave due to the delay and the experience. Still incredible food and wine; I am hoping this was a one time thing.
Our waitress obviously didn't want to be there, never gave eye contact was not interested at all...we were seated by the kitchen/doorway and it smelled and there were bugs flying around (kid you not)...food was mediocre at best. was my friends b-day and stated that when I made reservations, nothing was said or done. This restaurant USED TO BE nice.
It was our Anniversary, so I decided to try them, nice ambiance, what I didn’t like was that our entrees arrived and my husband had a steak, no A1 steak sauce was on the table, our waitress was not around so I had to ask another waitress to assist us or my husbands steak would have been cold by the time our waitress had returned.
Our waitress Molly was very vibrant and helpful. I was celebrating my Birthday. The menu was such a variety. I can't wait to go back to try another dish. The store front was a plus! I can't wait to visit other locations.
Great time and food. Only problem was roof was leaking in the dining area due to heavy rain in the Chicago/Orland area
Been a member since they opened never dissatisfied.
Cooper’s hawk was having an off day. They sat us over 40 minutes late for our reservation, and the drinks took another 30 minutes to get to the table (4 glasses of wine, not even mixed drinks). Luckily, we like to talk so we didn’t notice that all in all our dinner that typically takes 2 hours, took 4 hours on a Sunday night!
Worst time ever to go is on a Sunday the glass was dry and the wait was horrible .
Usually we would say 5 stars in all categories! We are wine club members and there every month. The only hiccup today was that the hostess didn’t check us back in after our wine tasting - despite the fact that we DID check in - she told us we’d be seated shortly, and we found out 45min later that she never checked us back in. Good thing we went back to ask, or else we might still be standing there waiting! Otherwise, we love the place. We have regular bartenders and favorite dishes, we will definitely be back next month!
I booked a table for 4 about a week before the date to celebrate my mother’s birthday. The reservation was for 4pm but we did not get seated until 4:45p. The young man that was seating people did not have a friendly host demeanor and failed to provide any insight into why we had not been seated and we had reservations. The other young lady that was a hostess informed me that they were behind and waiting on tables to clear up. She had a much friendlier attitude and apologized numerous times for the inconvenience. Our name is finally called and we are seated at a booth with just menus on the table. Minutes went by and no one came to say they were our server or to offer water or anything. We watched as tables that were seated after us were waited on with bread, appetizers, and drinks and we still sat there with no one tending to us. After 20 minutes (no exaggeration) I saw one of the managers walk by escorting a couple to their table and I informed her that no one came to our table yet. She apologized and stated that she would be right back. She came back after seating the other guests and apologized again for the inconvenience and offered a bottle of wine to our table. She stated she would take care of us and she took our orders. While eating our appetizers, another young lady came and stated she was our server. Both the manager and the new server were both very nice and helpful. It was just unfortunate that my mom had to experience that on her birthday but the dinner turned out well and Amanda did a good job tending to our concerns.
